Hi there,
i've recently unlocked bootloader and rooted my Mate 10 PRO and came to an conclusion that call recorder is missing in stock Dialer app. It's available on Chinese firmwares by default but not on the European ones.
There's a guide on how to enable call recording but decidated to Mate 9 / P9 / P9 PLUS on EMUI 5. and Honor 8 on EMUI 4.
I wonder whether it'll work on Mate 10 PRO.
Already tried
bold beast call recorder (all possible settings produced nothing: disabled HWVoice assistant, ok google etc related to voice recognition, tried all recording modes)
ACR Call Recorder - working quite nice but it's an 3rd party app and sometimes doesn't work
Any tips? Maybe there's someone who have tried mentioned devices guide and made it work on our model?
I purchased my mate 10 Alp-l29 (c636) on Wondamobile. I found out though that the international firmware does not support native call logging. All the applications to record the calls I have tried do not work well. How can I do to solve the problem? Do I have to mount a Chinese firmware
So, wich is the answer. Did you tried? I have no root ! Thanks.
I already root my Huawaei mate 10 pro to record my daily calls. Whatever i try i always get only one side as a record and i am searching for a solution.
I make my calls over a bluetooth headset and this records are very important because some tecnical settlement must be documented.
I know that Android normally only allowed one side but with my former Huawei Mate 9 it was no problem.
If there any possibility to make it possible with a rooted Mate 10 pro?
Smartphone: Huawei Mate 10 pro
Android 8.0
Hivoice deaktivated
Titanium Backup: installed
Hope that we can find a solution
Jens
acr works for me, it even selects the right settings when i pick "huawei android 8"
No root required, BLA-L29 8.0.0.127(c432)
Hey did you find a solution to your problem?
Hi!
any1 got working audio mods on mate 10 pro?
viper4android?
spotify dos not sound good on my beats studio right now, my s6 edge with viper4android was AmaZing powerfull bass. i want that on my mate 10 pro
any clues?
There is still no methode to get ViPER4Android working on Mate 10 Pro. This is maybe due to Huawei did many significantly changes to EMUI 8.0.
Hi. I bought Honor 8X and Huawei Freebuds, so these devices support the ACC audio codec.
But when I connect the headphones use only codec SBC and it not possible to change in the developer menu.
Can you please tell me how to fix this?

That's a known issue on all the emui 8.x devices and nothing could be done from our side unless Huawei issues a update with a fix for this issue.

Thanks for the answer, you're right. But in a situation with Honor 8X and Freebuds the problem is the interaction between them (Great job, Huawei).
Freebuds work great with samsung s7 (almost any codec avaible and working), Honor 8X (emui 8.2) work great with Plantronic backbeat sense (aptx, aac, sbc) and codecs change without any problems.
Waiting for fix
Yeah m facing the same problem in changing the codec.. The options are not being clicked.. I was worried.. Thanks for clearing the confusion.. Waiting for honor to work on it

Two years later they did not fix it
You can try turning on the bluetooth after turning on the headphones, sometimes Freebuds working with AAC codec in this case.
