910t3 - Galaxy Note 4 Android Development (Snapdragon)

Which roms are compatible with the 910t3 variant? Which ones are cross compatible? Thanks. I assume it's feasible to flash twrp for note 4 910t.

I have t3, you can grab any that has T rom.

Pretty much any trltetmo and trlte roms?

I even flashed my backup of my t rom onto my t3 and it works. Google services framework just seems to think it is the same phone.

[Q] Installed AOSP 4.3 to Verizon SCH-i545

Well, I think I downloaded the wrong rom and flashed the wrong file. Here is what I downloaded and flashed:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272
For whatever reason, I thought it would work. In my brilliance, I didn't perform a backup. I still have access to TWRP, so what do I do? Also, does 4.3 exist for the Verizon flavor that is Google Play edition?
Thats for the i9505 international version. Theres some 4.3 ports in the dev section. Since you didnt make a backup of stock youll have to odin back to stock and start over. All the odin images are in the dev section as well.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 2
Did you think it would work because of the "guide" on how to run other carrier's ROMs?
And no one else I know is working on Google Edition 4.3. Mine's not done yet and I've been to focused on 4.2.2's build recently. I'll get back to it eventually.
As far as a fix:
Install another ROM. If you are desperate for SOMETHING 4.3, then install cyanogenmod 10.2(either of the 2 unofficial builds)

Thanks gents. The only reason I'm itching for 4.3 is access to Bluetooth LE for my Fitbit. I used Cyanogenmod for a minute on 4.2 and it was amazing, but BT LE brought me back to stock. It lately started doing that Google Services using 70%+ of the battery, so I started hunting for a 4.3 rom.. in the wrong forum. WOOPS.
I'll probably go back stock until I can get 4.3 rom that has everything working.

My Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE Custom Rom Zip Won't Flash

I've seen no one making a 4.4 rom for the Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE and it's really frustrating because it has similar specs to the Moto G and other 4.4 phones. I saw an xda page for porting roms and I followed all of the instructions. I used the stock rom as the base rom and an omnirom as what I ported. I copied the system apps, framework, fonts, media, and etc. I also signed it with Zip Signer from Google Play.
I just can't seem to find the problem. It won't flash PERIOD. I keep getting an error at the very begining. I extracted the files with Archive Utility on my Macbook running 10.9.4 and did everything there. Once I was done I compressed the folder to make it a zip to flash.
I've never done anything like this before but I have used android for a while and have flashed, unbricked, used a custom rom, and other things like editing APKs with Lucky Patcher and obviously rooted.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? I want to get this right for I can make a 4.4 rom for my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 T210R and of course share these roms with people who also have these devices and want Kitkat. Every Kitkat rom I've used on my T210R is unusable. A few days ago I flashed a 4.2.2 rom when it said STOCK ROM (which is 4.1.2) but it flashed and the only problem was wifi but I found a wifi.zip file somewhere on here before and flashed it on my T210R and it fixed the wifi. 4.2.2 is a lot nicer than 4.1.2 but I still want Kitkat. I only wanted stock to unbrick. I don't know what I was thinking but I deleted the whole system folder and yeah.... I swore I made a backup before I did anything but it wasn't there.
So anyways does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Nah but I've been looking. However mine is hard bricked sooooo. I hope to fix it though. I figured out how to make the roms I edit flash because I hsve done editing of zips and flashed them and I did use that guide to try porting 4.4 to one of my other phones and it flashed but wouldn't get past bootloop

[Q] TWRP for verizon G3

Good afternoon
I am on verizon and I just flashed back to KK from LP I am on 12B. I just Rooted with the LG one click root. I also downloaded Flashify.
I want to get TWRP for the G3, Where do I go to Get TWRP for verizon? There is the TWRP Manager app I downloaded but Uninstalled because it wanted fix a partition so it can write to the SD card. I said no then uninstalled it.
Should I redownload the App and let it fix or do something different? It has been awhile since I rooted and ROM'd want to get back into it.
the last time I rooted and Rom'd was in 2009 when I had my thunderbolt
thanks again for the information
Chris

Latest TWRP is here (v2.8.6.1). Just flash the file in recovery.
Try both ROMs and a couple others, too! I suggest starting with a stock-based ROM, getting a feel for the difference (smaller delta), then moving to an AOSP/CM-based ROM.

Did you flash the gapps with the rom.? I'm guessing that is a lollipop rom so you need the lollipop gapps to go with. There should be a link for the gapps in the same thread as you got the rom.

Make sure that you wiped properly (including System and Data partitions, as well as the caches) in TWRP.
After that, make sure that you installed the Gapps and the correct version of them for the ROM. I like these packages.
Thank you all for the info, I wiped and flashed the rom with the right gapps.

Need to switch to jelly bean

Hey guys! I'm using a Galaxy Note with a Bell board (was originally AT&T but that bricked because at the time I thought flashing an N7000 ROM would work, D'oh!) and I want to upgrade to a Jelly Bean Rom. I'm using Blackstar XI, a 4.0.4 ROM, and I'm looking for a lightweight JB rom. It can lack stylus/pen support, I found myself not using that feature as much as I thought I would.
Would I run into any issues using a QuincyATT Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 ROM, considering it's a Bell note board? Would I need to unlock my SIM first? And I recall there being a trick with Notepad++ I needed to do in order to make it work, even on my AT&T board.
I just have an issue with heavy RAM usage at boot and I can't even run some apps, since I know touchwiz is stupid.
Anyone willing to help me get it running on my note? Any help would be appreciated!

If you like blackstar, I would just flash Blackstar Blackjelly after doing a backup. It's what I've been running as my go-to on my Telus note. The other jb's are great too, but cm comes with the odd small bug like echo on speaker phone. Most of the customizations make them worth trying though.

Sweet. I could give that a try if the Cyanogenmod ROM doesn't work. Is there anything I need to do in preparation, since this is technically a Bell note? Or can I just go ahead and flash the ROM without any changes to the ZIP?

I'm assuming you have an unlocked bootloader already since you are running cm. Just be sure to have latest cm recovery or gimmeitorilltell's twrp (although other versions work with Jellybean, if you try kitkat or lollipop you'll have problems). Make sure you are flashing a quincyatt rom.
I have been using SGH-I717ATT-UCMD3-Modem with great success for a radio. Your mileage may vary.
If you get no signal, before blaming the rom, first check your mobile networks access point names and settings to be sure they match your carrier. (A good idea is to take a couple screenshots of your settings now before you flash any new roms as there are quite a few numbers involved)

Good news! I tried the CM10.1.3 ROM and it worked well minus two small gripes:
1. Occasional freeze/hang on lock screen, causing it to reboot
2. Random artifacting/crashes during video playback/browsing through gallery
I'm gonna say this is the best performing ROM I've tried so far, but I'm going to give BlackJelly a try! I'll keep you posted. Just figured I'd give Cyanogenmod a proper shot now that I know how to install ROMs!

Time for BlackJelly! Downloading now.
I also may need some help getting the SIM to work once this ROM is on. So that way, I can use this stock-rom based OS for actual phone things instead of it just being a tiny tablet! Yay!
Can you point me in the direction of the latest TWRP recovery that I can flash through Odin?

G900T unlocked using on AT&T.. Which version of ROM to use?

so I got this galaxy s5 (free) to replace the S4 I had.. I'm on AT&T and the S5 is a T-Mobile device.. I unlocked and am currently using on AT&T without any issues.. I tried Cyanogenmod 12 on it.. had way too many Bluetooth music issues.. so I switched back to a rooted t-mobile stock.. which is terrible.. bluetooth music works great but everything is is painfully slow.. so I want to find a good fast custom rom (that also has proper bluetooth music support).. With so many device versions and so many custom roms I'm just a bit perplexed.. I found some that are debloated stock roms which seem like that would be good. but I'm just a bit confused on what parts I need to have as "t-mobile g900t" and which parts I don't have to have that way? so yeah this is a bit of a newbie question (even though I have run 4 or 5 custom roms in the past (original galaxy s and my s4 both had custom roms). .but those were always at&t devices on at&t network.. so was an easier choice..
at any rate.. looking for some tips on how to best find the right rom.. Would love to do this today/tomorrow.. avoid messing with the phone during the work week..
Thanks in advance!!
Gary
Try the latest stock ROM for the phone. Many of us were having issues with lag with prior 5.1.1 ROMS. The latest ROM has fixed all these issues. Very snappy.
i feel like i remember seeing bluetooth/audio fixes & updates in the CM13 nightly changelogs, you also didnt specify which CM 12 you installed... the last 12.1 snapshot from october or the last nightly from december?
You can run whatever rom you want. If it works with KLTE it works on your phone. Check the S5 unified development. Cyanogen has always been crap on this phone, probably always will be. Try an AOSP based one like Tesla or TipsyOS (probably won't find them on this site, they post all of their roms on their Google+ page)
Unfortunately the only Marshmallow available for this phone so far is CM-13 based so it's also crap and full of bugs...
To be honest, no ROM you find will be perfect. The most stable thing I've found is to just use a rooted stock ROM and debloat the hell out of it then run Google Now launcher or Nova and forget that you have a Samsung device for a while, until the next OTA comes out and you have to do the process over again.

much improved deep sleep battery means crap & full of bugs? i'm over a week behind on nightlies & there arent that many bugs... http://www.cmxlog.com/13/klte/ things are improving all the time, only CM 12.1 is stuck... but the last december nightly isnt buggy either
Sort of forgot about this thread. first Thanks for the replies.. So I have been using CM13 since I posted this.. and this has great for speed.. but BlueTooth continues to suck.. no matter what bluetooth device I use with this Rom it skips and stutters. I've finally had enough.. it's been quite a long time with this issue so time for me to switch.. I will try one of the rooted stock roms and debloat it with one of those tools.. thanks again everyone!

If you have the mm bootloader and modem installed just wipe and flash. But I believe cm 13 could be ran on the lp bootloader. I odined the stock tar first that way you know all the partitions are proper. Than Odin Twrp 3 0.0 . Make sure you back up your data from internal storage because when you Odin factory package it wipes phone storage. I learned this the hard way lost a bunch of pictures lol anyway I found this to be the best way. Hoping this helps....

thanks for sticking with me on the all the newbie questions.. bootloader version reported as G900TUV1FOG6.. later in the list it shows Latest Firmware: G900TUVUGPE1/G900TTMBGPE1/G900TUVU1GPE1.. so at first I was thinking I was ok.. but that second entry had me wondering.. (dang.. just noticed this was never submitted (from 6/28).. oh well)..
ok.. So I assumed I'm good to go.. installed the latest TWRP (3.0.2).. wiped the data area and tried to flash Phoenix.. It starts installing Aroma.. and within a couple of seconds the phone reboots back into TWRP.. did this a few times.. rebooting into the OS gets me a new Cyanagenomod not Phoenix.. figure I must be missing a step somewhere (or have something that is preventing Phoenix from installing).. thoughts?
thanks again!!

I think you still don't have the correct bootloader . The firmware is mm because your using CM13. The easiest way to get it done for sure is to odin the official MM firmware. Than install Twrp 3.0.0 flash superuser to have root . Reboot in recovery and flash phoenix rom v12.0 than the 12.6 update. This may take extra time this way but all the partitions will be correct. Or odin bootloader in BL slot and modem in cp slot . Don't set for auto reboot pull battery back into download mode Odin Twrp pull battery. Reboot into recovery than flash superuser. Than flash phoenix. Good luck

OK.. you may be right.. I downgraded TWRP to 3.0.0 and the install started working fine.. but now the reboot into Phoenix has been going for about 35 mins.. I know it can take some time but that seems extreme.. will wait a bit longer and if it doesn't work I'll try the steps you listed above..

I think you still don't have the correct bootloader . The firmware is mm because your using CM13. The easiest way to get it done for sure is to odin the official MM firmware.

Gary look in this general section for the post that instructs you how to install factory mm. Follow the guide. Google to see how to install factory tar files using Lunix . I'm guessing my instructional writing skills leave something to be desired lol . Once you have the factory mm up and running install Twrp flash superuser reboot. Than reboot into recovery flash phoenix rom. Good good
