Hello, I would like to share with you from the program's "multi tool" command to search for the latest firmware for devices company huaweiHuawei Firmware Finder (Team MT)
thanks for sharing
Thanks for pointing out this nifty little app. There are so many apps on the play store that 'claim' to be an updater but all are complete garbage. I've tried it and it works no problem.
Thx saved my phone when I was trying to find a stock update
Hi,
I am using Honor 5C NEM-L22 model.
Currently I am on firmware B310 (update via Firmware Finder & Proxy - OTA).
I see some other updates listed on google like B351 and B355 but when i search in Firmware Finder, it displays the results till B310 only.
Any idea on how to get these updates as OTA?
Thanks in advance,
Vishal

B355 update is for build C636, and i guess ur build is NEM-L22C675. B310 is the latest update for C675 right now.
You already did.

This tool actually works and update but for few versions it creates more of a problem than just updating. Need more improvement. Earlier versions were good than the recent one

works well if you know what youre updating and what is required to be updated before that update.

L51 to L22 firmware on a 5C Honor
Hi, 1st time poster,
I have a Honor 5C - Nem-L51 , which I bought in England.
I want to change it to an English Language Nem-L22, and I used Firmware finder , and added a L22, and it is now downloading.
It mentions Indian languages, but will it be ok if I just change the Language to English after download or after install?
The reason I want to change to L22 version is compatibility with Australian Bands.
.frequencycheck.com/country-compatibility/jvg8y/australia/devices?utf8=%E2%9C%93&q%5Bfull_name_cont%5D=honor+5c&q%5Bdevice_brand_id_eq%5D=&commit=Search
Would I be better off with NEM-L22C675 (thats the one I am downloading) , or NEM-L22636 (Asian version)
When I added , i just added the L22C675 as it showed as compatible with my phone.
I downloaded two files, last one is the "updater" Do I need that ? (or just the main one , which is 1.93 gig
The build number of the phone is NEM-L51C432B355.
I am downloading it o the phone. If advice is to use 636 version instead, then I can delete download and start again.
Thanks for any advice !

This will need rebranding to a different variant which is possible but with you nees to pay the utmost care on this as doing this may not only brick but also(if your phone work) can change your phone details, build number, mess with few apps etc.
If need i can do this but won't get time for this soon so you may need to wait. I have done it on my 6X so can do similar way with 5C but i would advise not to do this as you seems to be rally new to this forum and directly taking risk without knowing the consequences
Thanks so far guys

Hi, Yes , brand new to Forum, and thanks for both the above replies.
I love the honor 5c, but the bands on NEM - L51 are not that suitable for either the Uk or Australia. I tried to buy a NEM- L22 while in the UK, but they did not have any for sale , and I was leaving the UK the next day.
If someone could do it, then I would be happy. Firmware finder said NEM-L22 was compatible with my phone, which makes me think it is just a a firmware change, but I know I could brick the phone.
I guess I will think about it bit more. I am keen to try , but I will wait till I know a bit more, glad you managed to do it with your 6x ! Well done!!

Hi everyone!
I created this post in June 2017 to see when we would get Oreo for our Huawei P9 Plus. We still did not get what we wanted. At least Huawei stepped up their game and got very good in the security patch updates.
However, I am officially changing phones to the Oneplus 6.
The Huawei p9 Plus is still a great phone but I really hate the ultra slow updates. I WILL KEEP THIS PAGE UPDATED in the future because I will keep my Huawei P9 Plus as a secondary phone... for now. However, I will not check for updates everyday anymore so I will keep checking this forum and once some begin getting a new update, I will check my phone again and update this page.
Thank You
WINTERWOLF
UPDATE 24 MAY 2018:
We are indeed all on the May 2018 security patch now with build 385!
Now on: VIE-l09C432B385, Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.0.3, May 2018 security patch.

Couldn't agree more! Wished they are good at keeping the firmware updates at least for flagships just like what Xiaomi done to their flagships. Outdated firmware for flagships really makes me wondering why did i bought this phone at the first place (apart from great specifications and its camera)
I was very Happy with Huawei (hardware side)
Now i'm really disappointed
Huawei P9 Plus was my first Huawei Phone. When I purchased it somewhere August 2016, I feel very exciting of the quality of the phone. However, day after day, feel that Huawei very slow in release the phone firmware even Huawei P9 was one of their best selling phones. Huawei seems don't care of the software development and continue support of its phones.
What can we do? My next phone will not be Huawei.
I saw vie-l29c636b382 on firmware finder. anyone try yet?
I tried by using proxy method. Not working since the file not signed by Huawei yet. You can do it if you have rooted by using TWRP method.

Firmware Finder has B384 now
VIE-L06C432B376 is out, can be downloaded via system update application on settings. not yet available on firmware finder !
yes i confirm, my l09 already updated
Except it is B376 not 736 but anyways, it is here in Sweden too, installed it earlier today. No hiccups. Seem to work fine so far. My guess is it was pushed out because of the Bluetooth vulnerability, affecting ALL Android except those with the very latest patch from Google. The patch version on this one is September 2017, so it is the latest.
System update have download firmware, reboot the phone, load twrp and nothing else... Why don't upgrade?
Inviato dal mio VIE-L09 utilizzando Tapatalk
I suppose sytem update is not compatible with twrp, the easy way is to reset the phone(removes twrp) before upgrading. Don't forget to backup before you do that, as everything will be viped.
Please help!
I am on VIE-L09C432B370, my system update does nothing, no update alerts. How could I updtae to VIE-L09C432B376 ? I am in Hungary.

You will receive the update soon, you should wait little bit more, maybe your smartphone's IMEI is not still on update list of this week, you can force to get the update by going to HiCare -> service -> check os update or something like that.

Hi,
I think FF will find no more Updates, because Huawei rolls out only OTA-s in the future. The updates won't be able to be downloaded any more. Last were the b370 and b360 for download.
Theoretically, we should get Android Oreo, too, according to many sites that reffered to this.
Interesting because I received Nougat immeditalelly after official rollout on 2nd of march 2017.
we will see. But I have no troubles with the P9 Plus, good phone, but the updates would be important to me.
Just wait...

Firmware Finder provide a forced installation,
IMHO, this method differs from a regular update received via OTA (because you do not respect the scheduled update times).
I suspect a manual update may cause delays in subsequent updates

not really, through FF nothing is forced because there is no root or unbricked bootloader, all is about is availability of firmwares, on operating systems nothing is touched, updates are performed from OTA actually, it is just a trick per se .
anyway, back to our sheeps, i have buddies who got Oreo updates and were on B185 from FF, is not my situation but as somedody says before is like imei lottery

All true. With the term "forced" I mean that it is installed without respecting the timing established by Huawei for its IMEI code.

Hi m8,
I don't think that before November - early December - we will see an dload version of EMUI 10. The BETA that will start seeding in a couple of days will be OTA for those which enrolled in Huawei Beta app testing program. If by any luck someone will manage to release the OTA files, we might have a chance to flash it using the guide from here .

Tried that allready. Nothing happened. Tried without SIM card inside, it said that i must insert SIM if i want to check for projects.
My guess is that if you get a SIM card from one of those eligible countries and have a non branded phone with C431/C432 CUST, you might be able to register tricking the app that you are in another zone rather than you're for real...

I don't think you will get a Beta Project in UK. According to this info from Huawei, your country is not as important as the others are (i'm from Romania bdw and there is no project available for VOG-L29 users).

Too bad. In this case we have to wait for the proper solution. I don't wanna wait until November.

Yeah, let's hope someone will manage to get that OTA and share with us so we can all test it out

They should get a full OTA zip, since this is a full upgrade. Hope they can manage it.

In your case, it stands for DEMO. As i recall from your previous posts and SS, your phone is a DEMO unit for showcase in stores and not a retail one. That is the motive you can't set a security code or fingerprint.

1. I'm affraid you can't. If we still had the opportunity to unlock our phones bootloader, you've might have had some more chances. But since they've stopped allowing us that, you're stuck with it.
2. You can't make it retail phone (as the one they sold in stores). If you want to sell it and buy another phone (Huawei or another brand), i would go for that. If you want to keep it, i'm affraid that you'll have to use it as is, without those security methods enabled and some other firmware / hardware differences betwen Demo unit and retail unit.
The decision is all yours

The BETA OTA is useless now, because the method of flashing OTA is not working any more with P30 / P30 Pro. I'm sure of that after testing different IP's for query.hicloud.com and i think that Huawei changed something on their side servers so we can't use anymore the HiSuite and phone recovery (it might be model or IMEI based).

My friend informed you that although my phone is demo, I have updated version 9.1.0.193 that works normally, but I add a security code from a secret number and fingerprint by my computer

These are pictures from my device
If i remember well, if you'll flash yourself a beta rom from Huawei you'll need to do a full wipe 1st time when you'll flash, 2nd time when you will flash the stable rom.
If you do it by the beta programm app, no wipe will be needed (only if you leave the project you must "repair" the phone from HiSuite).
Hi everyone,
I'm in beta program VOG-L29 and can share the Ota BUT, I still don't have the hota notification. Waiting for it
