I have about 5 new NeuTab N9 pro. It has Android 4.2 which is kind of old. That tablet is pretty good. Can someone help me with how to install Android 6 (if not at least 5) on that tablet. I tried on one and rooted it. but i couldn't find a custom rom for that. I used dr.fone to root it. It discovered device as "SMARTIC w51090wvga". I searched for ROM with this term as well but couldn't find anything. I would appreciate if anyone can help.

Used SuperOneClick which says it has worked however none of the Root checkers say it is and the Super user apps can't update their binaries, anyone know how to properly root these tablets?
I too have purchased this tablet from ALDI, I am very happy with it. Would love to be able to root it... you know what I mean

I have successfully rooted it following the instructions from http://whrl.pl/RdvMXo
However I had to do some things a little different, (after reading the guide you'll understand my next bit)
after I clicked the restore data and it doing the restore it's meant to reboot the tablet although mine didn't so after trying this several times I rebooted it manually to which it actually worked.
My only anger towards this tablet is that it was advertised as 1.2GHz CPU when in fact it's 1GHz.
Champion! Worked for me, Only took 10min.
Now that the device is rooted, what would you suggest next?
Im not well versed on the apps, roms or other things to run on a tablet. So any ideas would be great.
My phone is rooted with Clockwork Mod and a custom rom, is this possible with the tablet?
And once again, thanks for the help

See now I haven't done anything ROM wise with my tablet as of yet because there are no ROMs that I can find for our little chinese made no name brand tablet, I'll be keeping my ears and eyes open for any ROMs I can find or ones that people have tested, I'm just not keen to test one of them myself and brick my tablet.
Hi, I need someone's help in testing a new version of my Online Nandroid script. It has built-in support for MTK based devices such as yours. If anyone would like to try the beta, please send me a PM.
Hi guys,
My phone is an Ontop nugget d5, and no one seems to have heard of it, it's a phone available from staples in Canada, it's a relatively cheap phone, with decent specs
I want to put an OS like cyanogenmod, but of course no one knows what kind of phone this is, and I am not a coder, or even know where to begin. The phone has a custom build on top of Android, and it kinda sucks, and it's only Android 4.1.2
Can someone help me? I don't know if it's easy or not to be able to put a rom like cyanogenmod, but I have no clue how to code, and I'm desperate to change the OS on this phone
Please anyone willing to help?

This is the reason why I've yet to get one these devices. Lots of low cost devices out of other places that have no custom roms either. Kinda makes me sad that only the expensive devices get custom roms. (except for maybe the nexus devices)

I know you guys are looking for a custom ROM (as was I), but I was happy to settle for rooting the D5.
First I installed SuperOneClick, clicked on the "Advanced" tab, and clicked "Check Drivers". That downloaded the MT65xx USB drivers. Afterwards, I followed the instructions for Framaroot 1.9.1 and got root (SuperSu binary was installed). Easy as pie.

Thank you for this answer, I am in the same situation, but I cannot open the SUperOneClick file on my Phone. And I wonder which version of SuperOneClic file I should have downloaded.
Could you help me ?
Hi
I have a zopo Zp990, C7.
The phone quickly demonstrated a lot of bugs, so, long story made short, the zopo was so buggy I tried using it for about a month, fiddled with it for a couple more and then put it back into its box.
I recently got it out to use as a wifi device (because that's all it is good for) and got to thinking... Because I am a complete "Beginner" I figured I could use the zopo to learn a little about the multitude of options available to Android users.
Unfortunately I cant find much in the way of info/resources that are zopo zp990 specific.
The device zopo is 2x32gb Captain S model running 4.2.1 and it is rooted (with eRoot).
My next step was going to be the installation of CWM or TWRT, then do a backup and try installing a 4.4.2 rom.
The problem is that I have been completely unsuccessful in finding a CWM or TWRT version that is stated as being compatible with the C7 Captain S. I understand (have seen) that some people use variants intended for other devices but I don't have the competence/experience (nerve) to try that path.
Does anyone have a suggestion?
Fred.
I purchased a Blu Studio G today for $99.
I have seen a few ways to root, but my girlfriend insists I should not do so as there seems to be no real XDA thread even concerning any ROMs for the device, or TWRP, or anything even related to root.
Is there a safe way to root this device? Is there a relatively safe way to unroot? Is there custom recovery? Is there a way to put a custom ROM?
Thanks, and I am sorry if I posted in the wrong forum.
I also really want a solution I can trust. If it's not on XDA, I can't really trust it.
There is an app meant to root BLU Studio 5 that supposedly works but I'd prefer a little corroboration.
I used king root
I have the same phone i will state two things.
I used King Root and it did root the phone. (i bought this as an mp3/video player, so i had nothing to really lose.)
Also found that should be a factory rom available below.
if you google "studio blu g rom" it'll be the top link (xda won't let me post a link, i'm too new)
Your choice to wait on XDA or not.
Hello and thanks for taking the time to open this post.b
First of all I want to tell you that the phone is really nice and fast, it is a mid-range, it works very well, I have it relatively recently but the decision to root it still prevails, but I realized that there are no developers of Rom's for this beautiful and powerful 3x cocktail (2019).
So I will ask whoever is interested and has the possibility of getting to know him a little more. I would like to ask you to help me get a custom rom for a purer Android 9 experience, as many of us know, Alcatel is nothing else but another hand. to all its launchers, and it has some peculiarities that I don't like about it.
But ultimately my score for this phone is 7/10.
