Hey guys, I wanna get this model:
https://www.sammobile.com/devices/galaxy-s9-plus/specs/SM-G965F/
Will it working both the USA and EU?
Based upon things I've read my understanding is that is the international version with the Exynos chip which doesn't support CDMA so it'll only work on some of the networks in the US..
It'll work if your on a carrier that is GSM.. Such as tmobile or metro pcs.
For Verizon or sprint. No.

So if this is a stupid question I guess I deserve the caning...
I am from the US but I currently live in China. I am here on a short term work assignment. I have the HTC EVO (not using here in China obviously) as my US phone with Sprint and use an older Samsung with a prepaid SIM and cards here in China.
If I were to buy the GS3 here in China would I be able to use it in the US with Sprint when I return? I have seen some threads referencing AT&T and t-mobil but nothing yet with Sprint.
This would not work. The international variant only includes a GSM network-compatible modem, and Sprint exclusively uses CDMA technology for its cellphones. While the GSM radio in the international SGS3 can connect (with varying degrees of speed/success) to US GSM carriers like T-Mobile and AT&T, it won't be able to "talk" to the Sprint towers at all.

Well crap, I lose again with Sprint...oh well. Thanks.
Hey.
Please tell me if Galaxy Alpha G850f will work normally in the USA?
All I know is that there are different frequencies in the USA and Europe. Do my european model G850F support both of it?
From the spec I saw, you may get 3G on AT&T. Not so much on T-Mobile because the lack of 1700MHz band support that is still in use by T-Mobile 3G in many places. The LTE bands are probably not going to work. Of course, CDMA carriers like Verizon and Sprint will never work. So, you are guaranteed to have 2G data (which is like dial-up modem speed) if you choose a GSM carrier. Everything else depends.
I had 85of on att it is very fast hspa plus. No lte
Anybody know? Will it work on the T-Mobile US network?
Wondamobile.com
Will work on any GSM carrier in the US. Be sure to get the International or International rebranded version.
Being that the 2 carrier's are GSM network's the band in each device are really similar right? Will I be able to get 4G LTE on my unlocked At&t Samsung Galaxy s9 plus running it on t-mobile's network. Thanks In advance!!!

There is no more att hardware and T-Mobile hardware everything is same and the phone will have every band. Hardware wise you are set. Software wise you probably need to flash unlocked or tmobile firmware to enable bands needed. This flashing doesn't void your warranty. There should be multiple threads in xda describing process to flash and links to firmware.
I have an SM-S918B)
While I get 5g in the states, some bands are a little different so I fall back to 4g more often.
Is it possible to put a US firmware on the SM-S198B and get the US bands? I believe the hardware is the same.
I'd appreciate any education!
No you can't flash the International model with the US firmware, they are different hardware ,different motherboard and antennas , but i think T mobile supports the International version very well

It does once I enabled all the bands. But it's missing 71 which is what most of the T-Mobile 5G is Las Vegas uses.
