I have a Chinese version MI Box. Model: MDZ-09-AA (AK). And I want to flash with US version firmware. I downloaded the rom and booted into recovery mode and when update, it showed me an error message with "signature verification failed". Then I tried to root it via RootKing, but after multiple tries, I still can't manage to install it successfully - it just ended with installation failure message. Am I missing anything here? Can someone give some pointers? Thx
The rom I used: http://en.miui.com/thread-323779-1-1.html
Can someone help?

Hi Everyone,
I know, I fell in a noob trap doing this and I already hate myself for it : I tried to OTA update my rooted Honor 7 and the device remained stuck in TWRP after reboot.
Log showed the following message in red : "E: error executing updater binary in zip"
I proceeded to a wipe and managed to start the system. This allowed me to unroot my phone, thinking I would then be able to update from a clean basis.
Unfortunately, the same error occurred and I am now stuck in TWRP again...
I would be grateful if anyone could provide me some leads to get out of my noob trap...
Thank you very much !
Edit : I finally understood how i managed to start system (I deleted the update.zip file and wiped again). Still, now how can I update to the latest version without getting stuck again in TWRP ? Thank you !

You have to flash stock recovery before update and unroot of course.

Thank you for your answer ! I found the image of the stock recovery but I can only find instructions for windows and I run on mac... Do you happen to know how can I get to flash the recovery image using terminal ?
Thank you again !
So, here is the problem i am facing with my moto E
I followed the tutorials from this site and had flashed my MOTO E to stock ROM 3-4 times due to different reasons, i was successfully able to do that using the STOCK ROM that i had for android kitkat 4.4.4. Last month i updated my moto E to android lollipop. After that it kept asking me to install a 12MB update which i tried installing quite some times but was not able to install. It showed some error while installing the same. So, i started ignoring that. A couple of days ago i once again tried to install that update and after installing the update when the phone turned on, it logged on into FASTBOOT MENU saying:
hab check failed for boot
failed to validate boot image
Fastboot reason: Fall-through from normal boot mode
So, i thought Flashing it once again might solve the issue. When i tried flashing it, on the command screen it gives ERROR for 4 files i.e. boot.img, system.img_sparsechunk.0, system.img_sparsechunk.1, system.img_sparsechunk.2 saying::
<bootloader> invalid signed image
<bootloader> preflash validation failed
And on my phone screen it says "Invalid PIV signed image"
For all other instructions it says OKAY
Now it is again and again turning ON into this fastboot mode only...
Since i already had flashed my moto using the same custom rom , i think the files must be okay...
PLEASE HELP :'(
Why did you flashed 4.4.4 and then ota updated to 5.1 ? This process should've bricked your device in the first place.
Anyway 5.1 stock image files are available, did you tried flashing them? (fastboot mode)

sorry, i didn't knew that i shouldn't update my phone after installing the stock rom. No i haven't tried flashing my phone with android 5.1 stock file, i thought maybe flashing my phone with android 4.4.4 will downgrade my phone back to kitkat. Will try it now...will be helpful to me if you could get me a link for android 5.1 stock file as well, i tried finding the same, but it says for moto e2 which comes originally with lollipop but mine comes with android 4.4, its so confusing for me which stock file to download....
thanks for the help

tried it, still giving the same error, preflash validation error :'(
Hi I need some help please.
I only have accesss to the fastboot mode and the recovery.
The bootloader is unlocked and I already tried every guide I could find on the net how to flash a new stock rom.
I tested many different recoverys but I haven't found one which was able to flash a stock rom to the device.
For example I tried this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/padfone-x/help/guide-restoring-stock-rom-recovery-t3179818
But when I try to flash the 4.4.2 downgrade firmware in the recovery just nothing happens ("zip file signature verification" disabled) or the logs says: "E: Zip signature verification failed: 1; Error flashing zip "x.zip"; Updating partition details..." ("zip file signature verification" enabled)
I hope you guys can help me, thanks
Solution
I found it out myself:
When I tried to flash a rom using cwm it said something like "this is for T00N devices; you have t00n device".
So I tried the modified roms which are able to convert TW to WW from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/padfone-x/general/guide-asus-padfone-s-kk-l-fix-brick-t3197684
and it just worked fine now using cwm 6.0.5.1.
Maybe I could help someone else with this at least
I have an Infinix hot 6x phone that after an OTA update, got stuck in boot loop, I have never tried rooting the phone or installing custom rom. After the boot loop issue, I tried installing an update and a stockrom through SD card via recovery mode and I got "wrong footer, signature verification failed" error for both update and stock rom files. I need help.

The error indicates that both the OTA and the Stock ROM you're trying to flash aren't signed by OEM/Carrier. Where did you fetch them from?
I got them from two random websites on the internet. Please can you send me a link to a signed and verified one, preferably the OTA because it's smaller in size? Thanks

I can't get an email to send a message to or a number in my country to call. The link is for India
Today my phone just boot looped. Can get to TWRP. But, I want to update A14 to 15, since it might allow the phone to start again. I flash stock Boot A14, that seem to work. Then, I try to flash the update to A15. TWRP gives me this error: fec_open "/dev/block/dm-10" failed bad address.
E2004: my_region.01000100 partition fails to recover.
What does this error mean? and, is there anything else I can do or try?
turns out i have an EU phone, with indian sowftware on it? Is it possible to flash it back to EU? And, how can i check the current version of the firmware in terminal ?
update: ok, it looks I am on version 11. Is there any link available to the boot.img from A10 and the incremental update to A11 (not the telegram link, does not work with a broken phone)? Both Indian and EU? Hope that redoing the update fixed the bootloop
