How to get a "full" firmware for Note 5 n920c - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
On Sammobile, I've downloaded the latest firmware for n920c (link here) but there is only one md5 file there.
I do not want to delete the current user files, and hence I need the "full" firmware with all the AP BL CP CSC files.
How can I get it?
Thanks

[Q] Noob Questions

Hi Guys
Quick noob question
When you flash a single file using odin (for example the official XWKE7 in the rom flash guide), and you put this file in the PDA section, does this update the MODEM and CSC as well on the phone?
why there is one ROM file not 3 files to be put in the PDA, MODEM, and CSC sections of Odin
Thanks

There are some ROMs (like those stock ones) that have everything contained within the one file.
re-partition

what about re-partition and pit file, i have read in the guide that they should not be used
why is that ? what is the function of the pit file and when should we choose to re-partition?
Follow instructions for each individual firmware.

[Q] Where to find stock firmware?

I just have looked everywhere, but found this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278. After download my country firmware, I have found several image files in the archive, that can be opened with Power ISO and no PDA, Modem or CSC files. What should I do with them? BTW, I need firmware with MSR CSC. Thank you in advance!

well i will answer this to you before you get someone having a go...you dont extract anything from the file you downloaded..you need to get odin which is the program to flash the firmware and if you did your reading you would of found it on the thread you just posted it up...before you do anything go back to the thread and read the first page and it has guides on exactly how to flash stock firmware

[Q][KERNEL][G850F]boot.img from any 5.0.2 Firmware?

Hi all,
is it possible to take the kernel (boot.img) from any 5.0.2 firmware released for Galaxy Alpha? Or are there region specific settings in it?
So i could use later builds of the kernel (bugfixes included) for my actual firmware...
i think the kernel of 5.0.2 wont boot android 4.4.4
to get the boot.img file from the ROM .tar.md5 file & convert it to odin flashable format, check this video

I took the boot.img from the nordic countries firmware, build date 17.6.2015. Flashed with flashify, works flawlessly...!

You'll need to extract it to use it with Odin.
Works well on a H3G 925f
