Distorted videos at WhatsApp - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Currently I am running Viper Os v3.1.1 and previously running lineage os without any custom kernels with both of the roms. In both of the cases I find that the video calling in WhatsApp gives me distorted videos with green and red vertical lines. But the other person I called sees normal video. This is the problem only with WhatsApp messenger, I have checked with Facebook messenger and didn't find any problems. I have attached the screenshot. I have tried with older versions of WhatsApp but the problem persists.

[Q] Instagram Video Crashes

Hi,
I currently have Liquidsmooth http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2039995&highlight=liquidsmooth ROM flashed on my Galaxy S3.
Instagram Video app always seems to crash and restart my phone every time I try to exit out of the video recording mode. Another problem with it is that when I film record and stop and record again, the image distorts and the colours become inverted.
Another problem arises in Snapchat app where it simply restarts my phone, if I try and go back to record a video.
Have you looked around for users with similar problems?
I got the same problem. Note1

Facebook Instant Video Messaging Camera Issue

Facebook messenger supports video messaging on android 4.3 and up. Using a custom rom, the i9100 should be able to use it, but when I try (with many various roms) it either doesnt work (doesnt attempt to even record) or records, but the progress indicator for uploading halts around 30% and while I can see the video by clicking on it (though the video is cut short for some reason), it is never uploaded. Has anyone else tried out this feature and had problems?

[Q] Youtube videos in browser maximized black screen bug in 4.4.4, not in 4.3

I have i9305. On all the custom Android 4.4.4 ROMs i tried i cannot play YouTube videos in browsers properly. The sound works, but graphics are bugged:
In Android browser:
Playing the video shows it as black screen with the Youtube text copied in the middle (see attached screenshot). Maximizing results in black screen, but which shows a video frame when phone orientation changes or screnshot is taken.
Navigating away from the video results in browser crash.
In Chrome:
Playing the video works nicely even with graphics, but maximizing again shows black screen, also briefly working on screen update (phone rotated etc).
Navigating away again results in browser crash.
Youtube app works fine, but i am afraid the bug might show for another site / game. I didnt install any Flash manually, so i think the problem is with HTML 5 support. When i reverted to 4.2.2 or used stock samsung 4.3 everything worked as it should.
So is it a problem with i9305 only or with Android 4.4.4? Or should i flash a new kernel or something? Thanks for info.
I do have the same issue on my GT I9300. I even tried a Lollipop ROM but the issue is still there. If anyone knows where is it come from

It seems to be an asop error. Get a mod to move this to the 9305 area for more help with your model.

Huawei Y6 II - Instagram & Facebook story modes camera issues

Since I bought a brand new Huawei Y6 II a couple of weeks ago I noticed that both Instagram and Facebook apps were presenting issues with my camera in their respective story modes. Everything works fine except when I record a video, the image starts to freeze and lag making it impossible to record a smooth video (the audio comes out fine, though).
The native camera app works completely fine. WhatsApp story mode does not present this issue too, this only happens on IG and FB. I've had not tried out Snapchat since I don't really use it.
Phone is NOT rooted. It has EMUI version 4.1. I have not found any records on this issue anywhere on the internet, so I really could use some help.
I also have the same problem with you, have you found the solution?

Skype video overlay not working?

I am having a problem where the Skype overlay disappears after 5 seconds if I go back to the home screen or switch to another app. I know it is not Skype's problem because I tried the same version on my older Galaxy Note Edge phone and it works perfectly especially when I am playing multiplayer games with my friends.
I have set the priority of the Skype app to the highest and allowed it to overwrite other apps in the EMUI settings so I don't know why this problem is occurring. Same goes for FB Messenger's video call overlay. Anyone knows the fix to this? It is super annoying.
Thanks!
Nobody else got this issue or my post got burried? This Skype and FB Messenger video overlay disappearing thing is a huge issue for me since I want to be multitasking when video chatting. I know it works because the video overlay gradually disappears as if the software detected it and removed it.
Another thing to note is that app multitasking also does not work with Skype and FB Messenger so I can't divide the screen in half while running them.
