Redmi note 5 6GB/64GB Global version - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi,
I want to get a Redmi note 5 6/64 variant but it need to be a global version, I searched for it on sites like AliExpress/Gearbest but they said that It's not out yet they only have the Chinese Version of this variant the only the 4GB/64GB & 3/32 variant that got the Global version.
Does anyone have some information about when the global version of the 6/64 variant will be out ?
P.S: I know that I can get the Chinese version flashed with the global ROM, but I'm afraid that I'll got some network band problem it might not support all band on my country .

I am from Europe and that phone (even if released) is still not on our market so...

Redmi 5 Plus from China that is sold in AliExpress has two versions despite 4/64 or 3/32 hardware specs.
Don´t confuse, one is "Global firmware" and other is "Global version".
First is the same that was released for China only but was sold to all around the world due to great demmands (by i.e. me), difference that it´s come now not with a firmware chinese/english only but with a global firmware with more languages and Google Play pre-installed. This version has enabled the bands: 1, 3, 5, 7 and 8 for 4G (FDD are values for non-chinese areas)

The second version that is other thing is the "Global version" that comes with two more bands enabled like bands 4 and 20 (values for non-chinese areas)

I see it available in couple of online stores here in Romania, most are out of stock, either because it's not released or it sold out very fast. Best thing is to wait for a while.

Guys, how can i tell I have kate or kenzo?

Bought from aliexpress. I'm in canada
Check the description of where you ordered it. (Or link it here and someone will tell you)
Also check the size of the device.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/wiki/specs/note3
Dimensions
Hennessy & Kenzo
Size: 150 * 76 * 6.85 mm
Weight: 164g
Kate
Size: 152 * 76 * 6.85 mm
Weight: 167g
Alternatively, you could try issuing this command while in fastboot mode: -
Code:
fastboot getvar product
Not to sure if it will work if you haven't unlocked the bootloader.
Edit: -
Also report your MIUI Version
settings - about phone - MIUI Version.
I found the easiest way I could tell for sure that my device was a Kate was to measure it (with a slide calipers if possible).
The Kenzo is exactly 150mm tall, and the Kate is 152mm or 152.2mm depending how precise your callipers are.
I have the Kate version and it is 152mm as already mentioned.
Also another way to tell is to look at the model number on the sticker at the back of the phone.
The model numbers are :
Kenzo: 2015116
Kate: 2015161
.
The easiest way is to install the app "Droid Hardware Info" from Play Store
And it will be written next to Model
Mine Is "KATE"

You should update your phone that's not the latest firmware
Cph1919ex_11_a.11
These are the languages on the global version which I have:
I have version CPH 1919 A.11
you just have to look for an update.
I would prefer to buy the Chinese version because I think it offers more choices than the global version;
Let's hope that Oppo corrects that.
Mine bought from Malaysia, also is CPH1919.

I ordered it from Amazon Spain. Delivery to Germany was only 5 Euros.
In a couple of European countries Oppo is already officially present. In Spain for example.
Because it was sold and delivered by Amazon itself, I was quite sure that they sell the Global version.
Some Amazon Market Place seller (in the UK for example) sell the Chinese version for nearly the same price as the global one...
I'm very disappointed with the Chinese version I want the global version
---------- Post added at 08:13 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:05 PM ----------
And I don't understand why they not have black theme in it like other devices.
Even the cheaper oppo devices have it
The problem with Chinese version didn't show the notification icon on status bar

Redmi 9s

Hay
I just want to switch global rom to indian rom.is it possible to instal indian rom without installing custom recovery
I want switch from eea to global ...
Hope anyone can help us
Yes it's possible because are the same model
Redmi Note 9s = Redmi Note PRO (Indian version) = curtana
Jut try to be sure that it's the same codename (curtana). The only thing it's that in settings the model name changes for Redmi Note 9 PRO (becouse you use a Indian ROM).
Sorry for my bad English, I'm not English native speaker.

How to check model name curtana?
I think that the simplest way is install some app that check the phone hardware. I use DevCheck.

Question K40 pro detected as Mi11i

Hi guys I'm new here so this might be a stupid question
I just bought a k40 pro
Model : M2012k11c
Miui global 12.5.2.0(RKKMIXM)
But playstore and antutu says its a Mi11i.
So since I bought it in Africa, I figured they probably flashed a Mi11i global rom into it to make it work with the local operators.
What I know is that : the k40pro/k40pro+/mi11i/mi11xpro share the codename haydn and have very similar specs (minus Ram and 108 mp camera for k40pro+)
even in xiaomi's website you can download the official roms and it's the same file (and it says device name Mi 11i)

Tho everything is working fine, and the specs are correct, I'd like to know if there's any possible risks specially that 12.5.3 update just popped up for me.

Thanks a lot Anas ! I'd like to have more info about this topic, Please elaborate if you have a moment.

General In South Korea, volte becomes oppo find n.

Fortunately, Google 6 and Google 7 volte toggle key application came out.
In that app, there is only a function that enables volte in South Korean dedicated carrier telecommunications companies that only support volte.(lg telecom)
Phones from other manufacturers can only activate the toggle button and not the volte.
However, as a result of the volte patch after activating the diag mode with this trick, there is a story that volte is possible in Oppo and Vivo models.
It is of interest among Koreans using Chinese phones, and one user posted a photo of evidence of volte success on oppo find n.

I am an oppo find n2 model so I could only enable the allow volte calls toggle.
This method does not become a volte. This is a method that can be helpful during the volte patch method.
worried that the method that helps the volte patch will be blocked.
Since I am an oppo find n2 user, I can't give any help.
ColorOS 13 brought volte to oppo find n.. there's no need for any fiddling if ur carrier supports it..

In Korea, Oppo and Vivo are countries that do not support volte.
xiaomi Most models are supported without volt patch.
vivo Certain older models were able to perform volt patch.
I used the iqoo 5 pro model, but I used the volte by proceeding with the volte patch without boot loader unlock.
Until last year, a model existed where you could use volte because figuring out the token code would help patch volte, but I can't try it now.
After all, it can be difficult to use volte with a Chinese phone in South Korea.
