Hey there, I'm new to the XDA forums!
Recently, I unlocked my Huawei Honor 7S' bootloader using the manufacturer's provided key.
After this, however, I couldn't find a TWRP image for my specific device so I used the TWRP image for the Huawei Honor 7 (foolish, I know)
Now, the device doesn't respond to the recovery or fastboot key combinations, but does show a charging indicator when I plug it in.
I wasn't aware that it was possible to hard brick a device by flashing a different recovery, but here's what I've tried already:
Things that I have tried:
Connecting the device to my PC and running HiSuite
The issue with this was that I cannot boot into recovery to do a system restore.
Using adb or fastboot (Windows as well as Linux)
Again, the issue is that I can't boot into bootloader, fastboot or recovery.
Is there any hope for me? Did I hardbrick the device by flashing the incorrect image? Are there any tools that I can to unbrick the device?
Please let me know, thanks.
No response from guys around! Looks like Honor 7S still not picked up by geeks.
I too have the Chinese version of Honor 7S (Huawei Honor Play 7) but couldn't find any XDA thread dealing with this phone.
May be developers are not interested in it .....
You can download the factory system using an application called firmwarer finder on

You can download the factory system using an application called firmware finder on YouTube. There are some tutorials on how the app is used and also how to decompress the UPDATE.APP to install the Img contained in that UPDATE.APP file by adb. I've searched around but haven't found anything on this. I want to root my phone to get more out of it and all, but It's not going so well.
My phone is a Huawei Honor 7 running Android 6.0, I'm using stock since I bricked my phone (I backed up anything important which were some apps and my contacts and such), so I have that which I can import.
I've followed different tutorials with no success in getting TWRP onto my phone, I got it unlocked but I can't get any further.
This is what I've tried for it:
Boot phone into Fastboot and have it connected wia USB to computer.
Checked if it shows up in "fastboot devices", which it does.
Did "fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img", which it says went OKAY, but then when after rebooting it, and getting it into recovery mode, it just boots into the default Huawei eRecovery, and not TWRP.
I've tried different TWRP images, some who said it were for the Honor7 as well, but with no luck, it just won't boot into it.
I hope that's all the needed information, if need anything else just ask.

If you want to get into recovery you have to unplug your phone from PC. You can use "ADB reboot recovery" command if you're connected and running system.

+1 the phone must not be connected to the pc when you try to reboot in recovery mode
Also you can use the MultiTool to install Twrp and reboiot to recovery from this tool
Thanks a lot guys! I'm able to boot into TWRP now.
Now I only got to fix my SuperSU problem, it makes me stuck where it says honor, which is loading screen really.
Tried different versions of the BETA-SuperSU (using the betas because got one from tutorai ladn read that they support Android 6.0), but as said simply stuck and don't know if it actually rooted my phone.
Hi guys, i got the Huawei Y6 SCL-L01 phone and i wanted to install a custom rom, so i tried to install TWRP first, but since there wasn't a Y6 version (there isn't a Y6 version for anything pf ) i used the P8 version and it installed but when it rebooted the phone was stuck at a screen that say FASTBOOT & RESCUE MODE. The phone seems to be unlocked according to that screen but the FRP is loocked.
Things i've tried so far
Installed ADB latest version, extracted Recovery Cust System and Boot images from an official stock ROM.
Tried all available drivers from Google TP_Link and Intel for my phone.
The screen i am stuck does not work with ADB commands, the device is not recognized.
Fastboot commands work and it sees the device correctly, the problem is every time i try to flash the images from the stock rom i get FAILED message due to FRP Lock.
Format userdata and cache doesn't work either.
Vol + / - and Power button combinations also have no effect, it only shows that screen regardless of what i press.
I've searched the web and the XDA forums extensively since this happened and tried every possible solution i could find even if it was meant for another device.. no luck.
And here's my question, how can i possibly remove the FRP lock by only using fastboot?
Please somebody help, i am like half a day away from decorating the wall with this piece of ****
PS: I am not able to upload screenshots, sorry about that.

I'm stuck with this problem too. The exact problem. Have you found a way to fix it?
I have exactly the same problem with my Huawei Tablet.
If I boot with the original ROM and look in the "/log" - directory with adb shell, there is a cust.log. The contents say, that the specific ROM is not original or factory.
I think even the bootloader is unlocked, there is a kind of signature checking.
EDIT: @Asdforcer: Have you tried to boot the original boot.rom with "fastboot boot" - command?
How to remove FRP on Huawei Y6 TIT U02

I would like to know if someone could make a custom recovery and a stock version of android that I could put on my Blu Pure XR. I don't care if get rid of the 3d Touch on the phone. I just would like to have the stock android interface again and probably also the ram management will be better on the stock version.
I have the same request, would love to see TWRP. I'd like to install pixel launcher as system app and remove the adsup fota spyware.
The Pure XR is otherwise a great phone. Power management on stock is fantastic, i can get 6-7 hours of screen on time.
The Pure XR is essentially a Gionee S8 but sadly I dont see any custom recovery or development interest for that either.
Include me as well. Thanks
So the Pure XR is similar/same to the Symphony Helio S20...
There's a thread here that has a working twrp: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/how-to-root-symphony-helio-s20-t3491123
I tested the recovery.img by loading it with fastboot without flashing and it worked!
You'll need adb/fastboot and the drivers first. Then boot the phone into fastboot mode by holding power + Up keys.
Select fastboot. After that, run: fasboot devices to make sure your phone is detected. Once detected:
fastboot oem unlock
reboot the phone, it'll do a force wipe
hold power+up keys again and boot to fastboot mode
Now, run this on your PC: fastboot boot recovery.img
Once the image is transferred, the screen goes blank...wait a min or two and TWRP will show up.

When I connect the phone through Fastboot and enter the command "fastboot devices," the phone is never recognized. I'm using Windows 10. Any help would be appreciated.
I used Linux instead. Have you installed the mtk and adb windows drivers?

Yes, I installed the mtk and adb drivers however while adb works and detects my phone, fastboot does not.
Ok, I attempted using the SP Flash Tool on Windows 10 and successfully installed TWRP and rooted the phone. The only flaws are that the phone takes a few minutes to load into TWRP and unfortunately, there are still no custom roms on the device. It is a good start however.

Hey bud, big favor, would you describe step by step the rooting process, I used SP Flash Tool on windows 7 to install TWRP and it gave the ok check marK, then I tried to boot into recovery and I found out that TWRP was not installed. Do you have to unlock the bootloader to be able to install TWRP using SP Flash Tool? Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone, I need your help, I've been trying to unlock my bootloader to root my phone, under setings I have developer options-OEM UNLOCK, but I only get as far as FASTBOOT MODE using my laptop as well as my pc, I tried this process with Windows 10, Windows 7 and latest Ubuntu. I tried different data cables, different usb ports 2.0 and 3.0 and nothing seems to work, I can put the phone on FASTBOOT MODE with my pc or lap, but then after that it looks to me that there is no comunication between my pc and phone. I installed all drivers several times and under DEVICE MANAGER everything looks good, as far as data cables I'm using 2 blu original data cables as well as aftermarket ones. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance and have a good day.

I remember something similar to this happening to me when I used a different version of SP Flash tool. Try SP Flash Tool v5.1624.00.000. After this make sure you have the scatter file for the MT6755 as well as the recovery file for the phone. Make sure that you have selected the scatter file for the phone and that the recovery.img is in the same directory as the scatter file.
Once this is done, make sure that you have installed the preloader or VCOM driver for the phone. This is tricky as the opportunity to apply the correct driver comes when you are powering on the phone and in this time you must click on the device that pops up in this time, right click it, and click properties.
Once this is done, go back to SP Flash Tool and click download, your phone must be off and unplugged before doing this. Then after this step, plug in your phone and the download process should begin (this might take a while). After this, boot into recovery mode which also will take around 3-5 minutes maybe more. After this you will have TWRP installed and from there you can install various apps including SU.

Hi everyone, TWRP has been released by lopestom here https://forum.xda-developers.com/pure-xr/development/twrp-twrp-3-1-x-x-blu-pure-xr-p0030-t3623865
Since the Pure XR threads are very slim here I thought I'd post this here.
Seems my XR's data has got very slow, signal strength weak, etc.
Trying to figure out if this is Cricket or something up with the phone. My wife has a Blu Life one X3 and the same Cricket and her signal and data speeds are always better than mine.
What are some things to check/look for? I've tried a few like manually choosing the Network, changing the APN settings, etc.
Any further advice would be greatly appreciated.
Hi! I just bought a Honor 9 STF-AL00, build: STF-AL00C00B201.
As it is the chinese version, I wanted to rebrand it, so I follow the instructions on https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/how-to/guide-honor-9-t3653719.
Unlocking bootloader was successful and as chinese firmware, it did not had a FRP lock.
The first time, rebranding stopped just before the menu.
The second time, I could access the menu and did the install.
But it looks like it did not go as expected because when the phone booted, it did not load TWRP but eRecovery.
So I booted in fastboot, it says phone locked & FRP locked.
I booted once again in eRecovery to download package from server and recovery but it says getting package info failed.
I tried to install stockrom from sd but it didnot work out.
I still have the bootloader code, but now i cant even install TWRP.
Can anyone please help me?
It is a brand new phone, I even havent use it yet and it's already bricked :'(
I install an service full repair stock via dload
http://androidhost.ru/v5
it is working right now.

You can always re-unlock your phones bootloader again, the key is always same, then flash or boot twrp with fastboot.
Some developers says the command for oreo is: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk [file name] but I used this: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk_a [file name]
You even can try to just boot twrp without flashing it to your recovery by simple typing: fastboot boot [file name]
If fastboot can flash twrp, turn your phone off then hold volume up/+ and power button same time and hold them until the state of unlocked warning appears.
You can use dload method or you can use HuRupdater method to flash firmware. You'll find introduction for how to do it.
Just search on xda
I was trying to fixed my honor 20 pro after atempting the root process, beacuse I thought the warning message (your device is unlocked and can't be trusted) on the boot screen was the cause of why I could't find some apps on the play store such as Netflix. (and I don't need the root anymore)
After I read some guides and tried to restore the system from eRecovery (without success) I tried the bootloader cmd method with the phone connected via usb in fastboot mode.
Unfortunatly i probably deleted some img files by prompting fastboot flash bootloader (but i'm not sure) and i bricked the system which is now stucked in a boot loop.
I'd like to restore the whole system with a factory firmware but I can't find the official one.
I only found one on androidhost.ru but it seems to do not contain any KERNEL.img or SYSTEM.img
Should I asked to the technical support the firmware or does anyone can provide a proper one? or any other solutions?
I'd just like to restore my honor as a new phone without root.
