Yes it's the same for everyone else. At least none of my five Oreo US998 have it...
I'm glad I don't have it. AI cam is useful. But I don't need Qlens to suggest where to buy stuff.
I wish everyone would have upgraded last month when I uploaded the India Oreo KDZ.

I just want to get all the features you get from a standard oreo update. A bummer though that the Indian firmware is limiting the max potential of this device.

I own five US998 V30/V30+ on Oreo and I don't have it. Unless I just don't know how to turn it on?
The India Oreo KDZ is no different from other V30/V30+ Oreo unless you can show otherwise?

You can install Google Lens, which does the same thing. Only some regions (maybe Korea?) get the LG branded Q lens.

Probably stop refreshing. From what I've read, Korea gets it today and there's no info on the rest of the world. We're probably waiting a bit.
LG G6 (Korean) just got an update to Android Oreo today. Has anyone tried to install AR Stickers and AR Core? I tried to install it but it seems doesn't works. Anyone if has a suitable version of Google camera, AR Stickers, AR Core that can works well on G6, please reply. Thanks!
What is the new features? Please screenshoot. Im waiting for the new features

Not too much, maybe it's all about "bug fixes and performance improvement"
http://www.lge.co.kr/lgekor/mobile/notice/oreo01.jsp
beside some update listed there, this update also has hide navi bar feature
Honestly the hide nav bar thing should've been there when the phone was released, with the screen size and all that it only makes sense. What I'm curious of is did lg devise a way to do it without extra battery drain?

Be patient, the question has already been asked several times, it is necessary to wait until the people who had the update had time to perform a few cycles of use..
Okay I have it downloaded on a korean G600S. So far so good. Oreo 8.0 April 1st security patch. The settings menu is very different as expected. Performance is definitely a bit snappier just right off the bat.
Anyone got some news about when it will become avaible on the SEA 870ds version ? Cause my last update its from October...
BT 5?

Unfortunately 821 doesn't support Bluetooth 5
I guess people shouldn't get too hasty.. The Oreo update is currently for Korea only. And they are getting that today so obviously they will need a day at least to check the performance and other stuff. So just wait. People will reply after testing properly

We do not know, otherwise it would be written, we have to wait, it's written everywhere..

Oreo is here!!! H870

Jusy casually checking my phone and BOOM! Can't wait to finish downloading ?
You are about a week late to the party....
Yet my H870 hasn't got it yet...
H870 for South America has not received the update yet.
Took an age but just downloaded Oreo. Will update after a few days of use!
Wife's H870 updated yesterday evening. I updated mine manually a few hours before using LG Bridge (I was on Fulmics 4.2, so it didn't want to OTA itself).

After almost a month's worth of use, I'm not noticing any difference in performance. Admittedly I'm still running the ROM with as many different things disabled/restricted due to the battery drain issue I had running Nougat. I'll have to see about performing a factory reset and see how well it performs.
Will keep you posted
I have got a v20b upgrade. It fix issues only. They could give US Oreo 8.1.0 with June patch.

X.1 bump sometimes is more difficult than we might think. It's mostly new base, new API level, etc... I just hope they fixed most bugs, it's a pity you didn't take any screenshot of a changelog... ;/

Sorry man haven't tried it yet. Been trying to get around to clean flashing alpha Oreo as I was having some weird glitches going on. If I have time tonight I'll try to remember

Finally got around to trying it. Flashed successfully on Alphas Oreo ROM which is stock LG but phone just gets stuck on LG boot screen. Had to dirty flash to get back up and running so it doesn't appear to work on V20 Oreo at least for TMobile H918 variant.

Sprint V30 (LG-LS998) Android Pie Question

I have a Sprint V30, and I'm seriously annoyed with not having an update to Pie. I've read in some places that you can use LGUP to flash a LG-LS998 with a US998 kdz. Is that true? Or will that screw up my phone?

But you still use Sprint, right?
Most people do that to either
1) carrier unlock LS998 by flashing Open Market US998 firmware, which also changes radio/modem
OR
2) to bootloader unlock and install TWRP custom recovery -- at which point if they are Sprint customers they often then flash back to Sprint firmware (while keeping TWRP and root). Because US998 modem/radio doesn't have all the Sprint LTE bands. For Sprint customers, the Frankenstein LS998 to US998 flash is temporary necessity for bootloader unlock only.

@ChazzMatt actually held off on 9.0 as well as many people regret updating to 9.0 such as myself. The only real difference in this update is LG UX8. 9.0 just doesn't offer much.
Remember, this is not a Pixel. Those users NEED updates to try to catch up to features regular users actually have.

1) Because most custom ROMs don't work right once phone is updated to Pie. I have clear warning in every Pie KDZ thread I maintain. Even if you downgrade back to stock Oreo, if try to install custom ROM you then have run a permissive kernel for camera to work and even then some sensors may be messed up.
2) On stock Pie, some apps we like to use like Shortcut Master won't work.
There's nothing currently in stock Pie that's better than stock Oreo. Except for the minor upgrade to UX8.0. But it doesn't look any different. The camera is the same, etc.
Here's what is podted5:

@ChazzMatt can you the following warning/disclaimer to the first post:
If you flash pie KDZ then AOSP/(Lineage) ROMs like LOS, RR, havoc won't work properly.
Even if you flash (downgrade back to) Oreo KDZ and then flash AOSP ROMs, the camera and flashlight won't work on enforcing but will work on permissive.
But even on permissive a few sensors other than the camera may not work. This will be the case until AOSP ROMs with Pie blobs come.

Sure, I'll link to your post. I already say not to update to Pie yet if you wish to unlock bootloader.
I'll also add note not to update to Pie yet if you wish to run ASOP/Linage custom ROMs with link to your post. Then when the issue is fixed I can remove that specific warning.

Not the Quad DAC itself, but a very important feature added on several months ago -- DTS 3D Stereo -- doesn't work with a popular media player on Pie.
Basically there's nothing about Pie that is neccesary to have and several things right now that can cause problems.

The DAC works, I just don't understand why DTS:X will no longer work in PowerAmp with DVC on.
It works on USB Audio Player Pro. HOWEVER!!! The UX is pure trash while PowerAmp navigation is awesome to use.

Do you mean H930DS?
Yes, we even have H930DS TWRP flashable zips.
We even have a mod from Australia with an H930DS, rooted of course.
Yes, all V30 variants on Pie have DTS.
All V30 variants on last 2 or 3 Oreo updates (released in 2019) also have it EXCEPT for Canada H933. H933 never got an Oreo update with DTS libs for some reason. (They can always convert to 2019 US998 Oreo and have it.)
But all have it on Pie.

Sprint LS998 does NOT have Pie yet. Sprint 30a is Oreo, breaking all the naming convention.
If you update to LS998 30a, you will have latest and probably last Oreo for that variant.

Oh! So how does 30a compare to 27a? Better, faster, more stable, I hope? I'm unclear if it includes the DirectX3D sound? I hope so because that made the sound good enough I felt like I don't need Viper4Android anymore.

It has newer Security patch.
So, looks like the Sprint V30 is never getting official Android Pie. Is there any way to get Android Pie while also keeping it working with Sprint?

No. V20 launched with Nougat just like V30. You get two letter upgrades. They both got Oreo and Pie.

Pretty much this, and I highly doubt we'll get any more security patches as the phone is already 2 years old.. Sad but knowing LG that's how it is.

We'll get more security patches due to the Enterprise Recommended agreement with Google.
3 years, at least every 90 days. But ticking clock didn't go into effect until Oreo upgrade which was 2nd quarter - 3rd quarter 2018.
So, theoretically updates through mid-2021.
