Hello,
my box has got a clock on the front side. So when the box is turned off, time is shown. Does someone know how to fix that? Cause with a new rom, it doesn't work.
grtz,
Mark-1978
well, the clock functions are in the kernel, and a file from system\bin\FD628_Demo
if you have TWRP install this fix and see if it will work , if not working, write the model of your box , i'm on a russian forum where guy done a kernel with working clock
my box is working great, but the front display just says boot and and not the clock,

On the left of the 10.1IT, there's the camera.
What it the light grey spot right above it? The Archos docs do show it but don't explain it.
You recognized it right...
It's a gey spot
I think its a default camera covering - with space for a light/ambient-sensor but archos didn't include one in the device...
anyway im not sure as it also sound weired as they build their "own case" but use a default camera cover!!?? - but they obviously did - and not included the camera window right into the case.
But it's the best answer i can give - can't remember anything beneath while had it disasembled... - perhaps someone else (scholbert?) can ...
Actually, my first thought was that this would be a nice place for a flash, or IR. But you've seen there's nothing behind it... Strange.
Hello guys,
two (I hope) little problems. I installed "KingKang Rom Unofficial Source Build" yesterday.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2007132
At the moment everything works fine beside two problems:
- The clock on the top right is one hour off
Yeah, the clock is one hour behind the real time. But only in this clock. The clock widget, the clock on lockscreen and the clock in the clock settings are working fine. Any chance to (manually) change this? Probably it thinks it's in summer time?!
- The notification LED is off
No light for notifications or charging. Could be the Kernel (Buttered Toast with captive backlight off), but I thought it only desables the light of the buttons. Haven't seen an option in the settings yet.
Probably someone knows how to fix it. Anyhow I will change the kernel with backlight on and probably flash the ROM over a second time, when I get home.
Any help appreciated
cya,
MChief
Hello, I see your having some issues with Kingkang rom. The clock is off by an hour? OK have you set the correct time zone in date/ time settings? That happens to me sometimes when I flash Mazda's aokp jb ROMs. As for notification light, have you tried enabling in led under rom control? The capavative lights have nothing to do with led lights. Buttered toast kernel works fine for me. FYI I know your new here, and you aren't able to post in development yet( perspectively in kingkang thread) you need at least ten posts to post there. My suggestion is to go in general section and get in a couple discussions about something to build your count up so you can post in development.

Like you can see on my "join date" I'm not really new, but it's hard for me to write on other topics
Like I said, the other clocks are working perfect with correct time/zone etc. like it is chosen in settings. Only then "main" clock doesn't want to...
There is a LED Control option in the settings, but when the light in the app picture goes on, the LED of my phone doesn't. I also changed the setting there to see if it will overwright something.
Yes, maybe I should join a few conversations to ask the devs directly. THX for the answer
I use light flow lite from the play store to control my led lights notifications, you may also have an issue with no control over screen brightness, use rootdim
(Don't ask me for help as I couldn't care if your phone explodes, eh! )
Ok, so after a reboot (sadly one i didn't want to do...) the clock is working as it should.
BUT yesterday I installed light flow, but didn't get the LED to work. This morning I THINK I got it working by enabling "icd backlight LED".
State at the moment: When I want to unlock the screen it goes on for a second and then goes totally black like in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20012996
Don't know where "s6e8aa0 control" is...
And the capavative lights like to go on and never go off. Only a reboot helps here. Also produced by light flow.
Now I deinstalled light flow
So after installing the full version of light flow and playing with the sttings I got it to work at the first try.
It's now with HTC compability mode and without the "icd backlight LED".
Probably also the update to the newest buttered toast kernel and setting the min. Mhz from 1** to 3**. I will test that.
Well I'm glad you got it to work
Ok, it's also working with 1** Mhz. So it was the "icd backlight LED".
Light Flow isn't working how i would like it. I only want the normal notifications...
I have an Allwinner A20 tv box, I trying to use it on a device with an old, low res, 4:3, 5" screen. It works but I have a few problems - firstly the box has "pal" and ntsc" settings for use with AV out, but when connected the picture is squashed inwards so circles are represented as ovals. I ve tried to mod the aspect ratio/resolution but nothing works, the picture is always distorted.
On top of that everything is too small for the screen, it is readable but things really need to appear bigger, so I also played about with the dpi, this does make things bigger and a better match for the screen, even though the device doesnt actually have a screen itself.
I ve done both these mods with several apps and modding the build prop and I always get "sorry systemGUI has stopped", constantly - when you close it, it opens again straight away. Clearly settings doesnt like these mods, so I m trying to work what I need to change so it DOES accept them.
Can anyone tell me how I can successfully mod the setting.db and get this working at the correct aspect ratio and a dpi that is suitable for use on a low res screen ?
Thanks
Anyone ?

Did you ever figure it out?
And if so how as I have a Vega S89 Elite (Clone) and it has the same text-is-too-small-on-a-sd-tv problem, thanks.
Complete noob here, sorry if this is the wrong board for this, or if my question is stupid...
So I've ported the MIUI ROM from a MOGU phone to my Jiayu F1, and everything is working apart from the touchscreen, which I have no idea how to fix.
When I press the bottom left corner of the screen, it is registered as if I pressed the top right, and vice versa and so on.
I've tried everything I could find. Is there a way to edit some of the "rom files" so I could invert the X axis and the Y axis? I've seen some talk about extracting script.bin, but for some reason it doesn't work (I think i'm just bad at installing adb drivers).
Anyone had any experiences with this, or has any idea how to fix it? I've spent an entire night trying to figure out a way to fix it but no dice.
I use my phone with dual SIM. When I try to setup the color for each SIM profile, it go back to orange value (but purple in real, that's weird) color whatever color selected. This works well before but now this setting seems broken. It's not a big issue but this was pretty usefull. Is someone got the same trouble ?
Same for me...
Still broken after March updates... :-/
