Finally, I had time to check whether it's possible to build a 64bit firmware on the exynos7870. Yes, we have 64bit kernel, but all stock firmwares were 32bit, as result I need a lot of missed 64bit proprietary files.
This is fully 64bit firmware, missed files from a5'17 (it's on exynos7880) - gralloc, gps, ril, gles (mali).
Only own audio\camera still 32bit, but in any case it's working great in 64bit firmware.
I wrote own sensors HAL, because it's very specific for each device, it's still buggy, i'm continue work on it.
Right now I need understand - do we need 64bit at all? I don't see any huge improves.

new version.
now I can say - it's stable.
sensors - done (back to stock sensors.universal7870.so with prebuild 32bit service for sensors)
flip - done
it's still sometimes fc on camera - I'll check it later
I can confirm it works on SM-T580 (WiFi only) as well. Everything seems to work fine; buttons, WiFi + BT, camera, audio, video (youtube), sensors, smart cover etc.
OpenGApps 8.1 ARM64 installed with no errors.
The only thing I noticed is during first boot screen it says in the top-left corner in red text: 'Kernel is not seandroid enforcing'. Maybe this is on SM-T585 as well.
On the SM-T580 you get unusable sim-card icon in the notification bar and some other places, but that is to be expected.

Just installing on T585 now, I've flashed the rom and gapps fine.
Problem I have is first there was no keyboard, and now I can't sign in to Google account
It says checking and then screen goes black.
I've wiped cache and davlik but still won't work
Any help would be appreciated
Also, what's a full wipe in twrp?

Those problems may be related to improper wipe, no worries.
Full wipe means in TWRP you go to 'Wipe' -> 'Advanced Wipe' -> Select all partitions except 'Micro SD card' and 'USB OTG'
In my case (SM-T580) that would be;
- Dalvik / ART cache
- System
- Data
- Internal Storage (Optional, but recommended to wipe)
- Cache
Don't forget to first make a backup via TWRP of the 'EFS' partition (on sd-card or USB-stick via OTG cable), just in case the SIM-card functions stop working due to lost IMEI.
Also, some issues may be related to the device still working on stuff when it shows the welcome screen after flashing. In general you should leave the device for around 5 minutes before doing anything after flashing and first boot to let everything finish properly.

Is there a fix for this?

Install another good camera. For example i am using Camera FV-5.
It's honestly WORRYING the fact the tablet runs at 10FPS when scrolling through the notification bar. Can't you disable the notification bar background alpha @Valera1978?

Great! I can confirm that gps gets a fix in gps test app, just as can be seen in the screenshot. Also open camera app can take photos on both cameras and video on back camera. I couldn't record video with front camera, but that doesn't bother me anyway.

Is this rom still OK for T580 ? I read someone flashed it already. Can anyone confirm ? Thanks.
I can't access the SD card in this ROM, maybe there are some leftover files from the previous ROM, that prevent the tablet from accessing it? Anybody has some advice if it's possible to fix that?

Did you format it as internal storage on the last romyou had installed, if so it possibly will not work unless it's reformatted on the currently installed rom.
Does it actually show up in file manager?

GAPPS: http://www.mediafire.com/download/0kd1p01a5kzpocx/mini-kk-gapps-20131203.zip
Instructions: !!!Be aware that im not responsible for any damage that can cause this rom!!!
1. Be sure that you have installed 4.0.3 stock official rom from huawei.
2. Now you need to install TWRP/CWM recovery.
To do it download zip with Automated installer of TWRP/CWM/STOCK Recoveries to PC, unpack it in the place you like on PC, run install_recovery.cmd and follow onscreen instructions.
2. Then download CyanogenMod 11 for Huawei Mediapad, Google apps and place them on your internal or external sd.
3. Boot in TWRP/CWM Recovery, then choose Backup and confirm operation (you will get full backup of stock rom).
4. If you want flash rom on top of previous cm10/pa rom - skip this part and go to 5.
Otherwise If you goes from stock or other rom then Press back to go to main menu and choose Wipe there and choose Factory reset there and confirm operation .
5. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip rom, choose it and and confirm operation .
6. Press back again and choose Install, then find downloaded zip with Gapps, choose it and confirm operation .
7. Then reboot in system and enjoy CyanogenMod 11 rom on your Mediapad
PLS notice: twrp/cwm recoveries are intended to use with custom roms like cm11/pa/aokp. In stock huawei rom internal memory is mounted to data/shared. But custom recoveries have an option to bypass only internal memory that mounted to data/media. So for stock rom these recoveries will do backup of internal memory during backup and will do wipe during factory reset. But they wont do it for custom roms like cm10/pa etc.

Hey zyr3x,
I've one question:
What about the "battery tweaks" in the "HuaweiMediapad settings"?
How do these tweaks work?

Wow...
Which GAPPS to use...the ones in this thread, in the first post, or the ones for CM11 here:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Google_Apps
It looks like there are more apps in the ones in the link than the mini apps zip in this thread. If we can get the rest from the Google Store, the mini apps is better.
In the link, there's mention of ART compatible for one zip and states that ART should not be enabled for the other. I read up on ART. This is something that will be/is replacing Dalvik. Can anyone explain why one would be ART compatible and the other wouldn't?
I'll probably be trying all of them out, if others don't know.
Thanks.

use the gapps which are recommended by the developer. Others are not working correctly. Have tried by myself and finally got everything working so far with the recommended version. Even if the smaller would save space...

Unfortunately, I have not solved even by this method ... I believe that it is appropriate to return to the stock 4.0.3 rom
mediapad has poor quality battery, it starts losing capacity after half year
I'm close to three times that and I can see no battery wear.

First, thanks for this great ROM. Everything is working smooth.
I have one big problem: My Wi-Fi MAC-address changes every time I switch it on. I tried wiping cache/dalvik and also tried setting a custom MAC in the settings but nothing helped. As I am filtering MACs in my Wi-Fi network it's a real big problem for me.
Has anyone else noticed this too?

Nice to see you cover this development as well. Maybe it is possible to join forces with Valera1978 ? I will try this build as well of course and report on issues. Hopefully it is not too much of a problem to run it on a T580 (without SIM).
@Valera1978. Your ROM performs very well (it is fast too !).
As expected, it runs well on a SM-T580 as well, you can just skip the SIM part in set-up with no problem at all.
Of course it is still work in progress, so bugs to be expected. However I concluded that sound is working properly ,which is fantastic.
In your opening post you said GPS is not working, but I think it is working (Navmii and Google maps anyway).
I did not find many problems, but I can report some:
- It is a bit strange that in setup you are being asked to put back a backup from the cloud while you have not been able (yet) to set up your internet connection). However this provlem can be circumvented easily by just answering that you want to set-up as a new device. In the next screen you set-up your internet connection and then you go can go back and choose to restore from backup (which works flawlessly);
- External SD card cannot be formatted as "internal storage", which is a pity, because I use a brand new 128 Gb SD card (this works in the stock ROM, so I think it is some kind of a bug);
- On an SM-t580 there is of course no SIM. In the lock screen I now see "no service". On a post to Tank0412 Oves786 suggests to remove an APK, but I wouldn't know which one it is (otherwise I would try, although I realize that other things should be removed as well, like the dialer program). The functioning of the tablet is not impaired in any way by this (as far as I can see);
- Gboard (an app from Google) apparently is not functioning properly: swiping does not work at all, although it is supposed to do so. In the standard AOSP keyboard however swiping is no problem.
I'm waiting for the Bluetooth to work in order to flash this Rom!!

Nice to see you cover this development as well. Maybe it is possible to join forces with Valera1978 ? I will try this build as well of course and report on issues. Hopefully it is not too much of a problem to run it on a T580 (without SIM).

I also have the T580. But this is my wife's tablet, and I can not take it up for a week for develop. But as soon as there is a stable version for the T585, I'll take it for a short time (1-2 days) and fix it too.

@Valera1978. Your ROM performs very well (it is fast too !).
As expected, it runs well on a SM-T580 as well, you can just skip the SIM pat in set-up with no problem at all.
Of course it is still work in progress, so bugs to be expected. However I concluded that sound is working properly ,which is fantastic.
In your opening post you said GPS is not working, but I think it is working (Navmii and Google maps anyway).
I did not find many problems, but I can report some:
- It is a bit strange that in setup you are being asked to put back a backup from the cloud while you have not been able (yet) to set up your internet connection). However this provlem can be circumvented easily by just answering that you want to set-up as a new device. In the next screen you set-up your internet connection and then you go can go back and choose to restore from backup (which works flawlessly);
- External SD card cannot be formatted as "internal storage", which is a pity, because I use a brand new 128 Gb SD card (this works in the stock ROM, so I think it is some kind of a bug);
- On an SM-t580 there is of course no SIM. In the lock screen I now see "no service". On a post to Tank0412 Oves786 suggests to remove an APK, but I wouldn't know which one it is (otherwise I would try, although I realize that other things should be removed as well, like the dialer program). The functioning of the tablet is not impaired in any way by this (as far as I can see);
- Gboard (an app from Google) apparently is not functioning properly: swiping does not work at all, although it is supposed to do so. In the standard AOSP keyboard however swiping is no problem.

"In your opening post you said GPS is not working" - on T580 - this is another key in kernel. On T585 - i'm working with it. Yesterday I had find reason - if I'm manually (via adb) running modem - I see baseband, imei, and gps starting work too. At least now I known - problem in ramdisk, vendor and device config is correct for ril.
"back a backup from the cloud" - this is gapps bug, as I remember wizard ask about backup before you enter your google account.
"External SD card" - strange, will check, T580-585 should be same logic.
"On an SM-T580 there is of course no SIM" - not enough remove apps, need build firmware without telephony. Because settings also included changes in framework.
"Gboard (an app from Google) apparently " - will check, but later, primary problems is first.

I'll check after ril, but I'm on 90% sure - it's the same problem.
Thank you for this, for an Alpha its very good. Its installed now on my T580 . The kernel is Permissive and can't be switched to Enforcing, is this something we could have in a future release, a kernel with the ability to change?
Amazing work, congratulations for bringing this to us, its a game changer for the T585/580. When I look at my Ti Back-up for any missing apps and see all that Samsung bloat-ware and Knox related stuff...well how good to see them gone

Format SD card as Internal memory
@Valera1978. Maybe just nonsense what I discovered but maybe it is not, so I think I should share this.
I discovered Samsung S7/S7 edge suffer from the same problem that it is not possible to format their SD card as internal (which however is possible in the original Samsung sofware for the SM-T580/ 585 as I mentioned earlier).
So I thought it would be a nice experiment to try the solution I found in:
http://www.modaco.com/news/android/...e-adoptable-storage-on-your-s7-s7-edge-r1632/
After having read that, what I did was no more then simply issuing the commands:
adb shell
sm list-disks
This returned:
"CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE "app_process": "/sbin/libcutils.so" is 64-bit instead of 32-bit
Aborted"
I now suspect - without really knowing why or how - that maybe a 64 bit module (or maybe the reverse: some 32 bit module) is interfering some way with the formatting of the disk as internal.
This is not the biggest of problems of course, this build already performs really nice and smooth anyway. However of course I do hope it proves to be is a lead to the solution.
Hello everyone!
Pls help me on this one...
I have:
- unlocked Boot loader
- installed Twrp 3.2.1 vendor patch
- installed Magisk 16.0
- flashed DotOs 2.4 treble ROM
- installed Franco kernel (fk6)
on my Redmi Note 4 (mido).
The problem is:
- whenever I reboot my device a message appears from DotOs System which says: There is an internal problem in your device. Please contact your manufacturer.
- whenever I play Pubg mobile, my phone usually reboots... And these random reboots occur not only in pubg but also in other apps if I try to multitask or click the buttons fastly or try to use my phone very quickly.
Please help me guys.

I wouldn't trust my life (android device) on franco kernel for now. If I were you I'd download latest Lineage Rom, latest gapps, Magisk vcustom version that supports treble enabled roms, then kud kernel. Put them on an external sd or file storage, completely wipe my phone except the external part of it, then flash them in the said order. Franco kernel been updated quite a while ago. Since then lots of things have changed in the aosp based roms. The kernel might cause those problems of yours. Also first of all, before doing anything I'd flash latest Orange Fox Treble enabled recovery R6 beta, which solves some flashing issues. This is what I'd do to solve those problems of yours within 10 minutes. But it's just me, a purist being real and being safe than sorry.

Did you try everything I wrote above? These steps should work in case you badly messed up your system. I mean, I fiddle and meddle with my OS all the time, often rendering my phone unusable. As much that I have to clean wipe and reinstall the whole OS following the steps I provided. There was no case when a whole, system wide wipe and a clean install wouldn't solve.

Perhaps I can give you one more tip that you can try.
First, if you have an external SD card make sure to copy latest stable global MiUi ROM, latest Lineage OS for mido, latest open gapps, kud kernel, Magisk 16.0 treble enabled and orange fox onto it. If not then download these to your pc or laptop.
1) Make a full wipe including system, data, vendor, cache, dalvik and internal storage.
2) From TWRP flash latest MiUi stable global rom.
(if you have external SD do it from there, if you don't, since you made a full wipe, your internal SD is empty. Through USB sideload copy MiUi onto your internal SD and flash it from there if you don't have an external SD with the flashable zips on it)
3) Boot up the system, make sure everything is working.
4) Reboot to TWRP and do a full wipe again.
5) Flash Lineage OS from your external SD or copy the required zip onto your internal SD through USB sideload.
6) Now flash latest gapps (pico is far enough)
7) Flash Kud Kernel
8) Flash Magisk 16.0 treble enabled or magisk vcustom, they are the same but more stable than 16.7 which is still beta.
9) Reboot to system and see for yourself if everything is working.
I hope this solves your problem. Sometimes if you flash back MiUi it solves some crash perhaps firmware related problems. I don't know but this helped me a few times. If you messed up something USB sideload is always an option to copy any flashable zip onto your internal SD, however I always use external SD for it's easy to trust and use.
In case your data/internal SD shows 0 kb/mb free space do a data wipe and a partition from special settings in TWRP with all sizes set to 0.
I don't have any more tips to help you. Sorry.
I would say get Orangefox or Redwolf recovery if you dont have them already. Try flashing any rom and see if your problem persists,if not flash magisk and custom kernels. With the process of elimination you should know the source of the problem which i think is francokernel as it was mentioned.

Probably Cpu throttling service asks for increase in cpu frequency due to the requirement , but when the cpu frequency is scaled up high , but due to some internal problem (temperature sensor failure or faulty processor etc...) the temperature detected is too high that the phone reboots.
TBH I have no idea about how android devices work but this happens on PS4 due to burnt capacitors , this can be fixed sometimes.

Hi all
Finally I got tab s3 wifi version. And now I have both tablets.
Lte and wifi versions almost the same. Diffs only in radio, gps config and sensors.
Tested for a few days - it's fast and stable.
Yes, we still have a some problems, like camera crashes in logs, speakers (not rotate), may be some small issues.
Many thanks! Will flash this over the weekend and do some testing.
I havent flashed this yet but....I love you! Im stuck with this tablet, And theres been basically no other roms for the wifi model, And the stock rom is so slow its unbearable....Your the best!!!!!
Edit: It flashed perfectly, And...It actually responds to taps ect....Thank you!!!!!!!
You are more than awesome! Thanks for this.
I hope it is not rude to ask, but is there any chance, that you could provide. HAVOC OS for this device?
Thanks in advance.
Omg i was checking this page so often for this thread to appear. I love you Downloading and testing right now.
Okay guys, important to know for everyone. You have to install the repack recovery by valera1987. The ashyx recovery does not encrypt data storage!!!
The rom seems to work smooth and fast so far, but i recognised two annoying issues.
At first the rom sometimes reboots directly after unlocking the device via pin.
Secondly, it is not possible to write something with the spen, because the touch function is not disabled, if the spen is in use.
If i try to write something via lecture notes and i touch the display, the whole text disappears.
I hope this can be fixed somehow.
Thanks in advance for your great work!

Thanks for your effort.
Be aware that spen is stop working after you turn off your screen while using the spen.

I use LectureNotes myself and have the same issue. You can rest your palm while writing, but as soon as you move your palm the line you are drawing in that moment will be canceled. If this issue is fixed this ROM is absolutly perfect for me.

@Valera1978:
I use a 128GB Samsung micro SD card in my tablet. For some wierd reason it gets recognized as 256GB in this ROM (No problems on PC or old ROMs). It marks half of it as in use though, so no real problem (e.g. 5 GB of 128 GB are in use, it shows 133 GB of 256 GB are in use). SD card is formatted as internal storage for tablet only. Thank you so much for your work!
For anyone interested in using this ROM without GAPPs: I have no issues so far!
Btw. is there any chance to add xbox controller support?
Reboots - this is keystore problem. Time ago I used softkeystore from samsung (from stock firmware) - now back to normal kestore\gatekeeper. Test version working well. Later today I'll rebuild both 820/825 versions.
About s-pen - need check, how to implement this.

Cool, thanks a lot.
I have also some issues to get viper4android driver inatalled on this rom. Can you include busybix into your kernel?
And maybe you know the app spen command, which is a perfect alternative to the missing command menu for the pen, if you press the pen button. The only problem is, that this app needs selinux on permissive. Maybe you can set your kernel by default to this.
thanks....we appreciate your efforts

Uh nice - thanks Valera! Any chance you can add your manifest? I would like to try building Android once myself.
Error flashed on screen on reboot
I am getting 'There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for detail.' error on every reboot. I've flashed the 'BL_T825XXU3CSH9_CL16530048_QB25611745_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5' bootloader but still facing the issue.
See the screenshot for error message.
Camera is not working

Hi there,
do you have any intention to include palm rejection on Q?
It's the only missing feature on LOS...

Do custom ROMs have to have palm rejection added? It's not normal feature?
This would be good to know as I got this device to use the pen!
I notice that screen is very hard to wake up. I have to play all buttons in random combination to be able to bring up lock screen. Once it get unlocked, everything works find.
I did once get system UI locked error. I have to push all buttons to force it reboot.
So I tested this rom on my T820 Wifi and in my opinion it works pretty stable, except of some issues I recognised:
- Saving pictures does not work. The pictures I get are scrambled.
- sd cards in ntfs format not working
- Palm rejection is not working
- ed xposed causes boot into download mode
- screen wakup is sometimes slow
- Viper4Android is not working
- Speaker only working on one site (right)
- it's not possible to rename SD Card or uninstall any system app like mail-app via root
- Netflix is not working
- Not possible to activate a custom notification sound
- Adaway only working with systemless host activated in magisk
- trying to use miracast causes a complete crash of system ui and makes a reboot necessary
- digital wellbeing randomly fc if settings menu is open
- sometimes hardware buttons stuck and i have to wait 5 sec until I can use them again
Thanks for your work!
*update: On second build same issues and camera just force close, now
did anyone figure out how to get the camera to work. It takes pictures but to view them they all look scribble.
does this rom work with the T825Y?

Just try it. I think the specifications are the same like T825.

Not working on second build for me
Now for the *REAL* question, does this ROM cause graphical glitches when you run a 3D load and heat the processor up to 100c?! That was my experience various unofficial LOS16/RR based Pie builds. I get temps in the worst case up to 97c under extreme load on the stock OneUI ROM, but normally it is way LOWER. Could someone (with the performance level in the power settings set to max) test games like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.PnA.Offroad and some heavier ones for an extended period of time, and maybe some benchmarks (AnTuTu, 3DMark, etc...) while watching the CPU temp and General SoC temp with a temp guage overlay (like the one in the paid option on DevCheck).

Is there any chance, that you compile Havoc OS 3.0 for our Device?
Thanks in advance

Don't expect that anything on this rom will fixed soon.
Always the same with this dev. He releases a build with issues, then he ignores all issue reports and only releases sometimes a new build with security updates and nothing more. I wish a had wait a little bit and bought a tab s5e, because it seems to be the only new Samsung tab with fully working custom roms and palm rejection.
Better you use stock rom for tab s3.

same here
There is something that I cannot understand. The users say that there are problems with the ROM but OP says there aren't...

Not sure if answered but I fixed this by:
Copying the complete line ro.vendor.build.fingerprint.................. from the /system/build.prop file.
Paste replacing the line ro.vendor.build.fingerprint.................. in the /vendor/build.prop file.
These files crosscheck each other looking for this line. The files must be from different builds.
