I own a 6/128GB variant.
I have been using for couple of weeks for now.
Value for money device.
I have issues connecting my phone to car for using Android Auto. When connected it only shows a blank screen. I have tried allowing all the permission for Android Auto and apps associated to it. Tried switching on USB debugging in dev option, switched on the USB OTG option too. Nothing helped.
If anyone knows how to get this solved kindly write a solution.
Cheers.
I am also facing the same issue. I have 6 GB / 128 GB phone, USB is working fine with laptop but it is not working with my car android auto (Sony AX-5000)
Please help to resolve this issue

check this out or may be device update issue
Same problem
I too have same problem. Able to connect other phones to my car but not realme
How to fix
There's a workaround. Make sure Android auto is installed and setup. Connect with data cable to car unit. Go to Settings-> Other wireless connections. You'll see an option of USB tethering. Turn it on. It won't connect but as soon as the tethering fails Android auto starts up.
same issue with my realme 1. android auto icon does not appear while connecting it to Sony AX-5000. No connection gets established between realme 1 and AX-5000. USB teethering suggestion dont work.
Real me 1 Android auto issue
Real me 1 users: Android auto will work only on real me 1 after the Android pie update. After you have updated to the Android pie and colour os6. Connect your device to your car, you will have the blinking of choosing (charge/transfer files/transfer photos) on your phone, just leave it don't do anything about it.
Just go to (About phone) in your device. Then enable developer mode by tapping (version) 7 times. Then you can go to developer settings through (SETTINGS->ADDITIONAL SETTINGS then enable developer settings), then you have to on the (USB DEBUGGING) which will be available while you scroll down in developer settings. That's all.
The phone will get Android auto automatically. You can enjoy.:good:::highfive:
PS: After using Android auto don't forget to
off developer settings.

Hi guys,
I am using MiniCM9-3.0.2, as is evident, and am not able to use the usb tether functionality of the rom. this is what happens:
1. check the usb tether option. the check mark disappears automatically and it says again 'check to tether'
2. the led notification light goes off and the device is shown to be disconnected which is then rectified instantly. the led notification light does not come back on again, even after checking with all the usb ports.
3. and the tether does not work after that.
a major observation is that the tether works on other laptops without glitch. I use win 8 cust preview and the others r using win 7... Can it be a problem of the operating system??
And yes I have followed all wipe data/reset etc..
I recently toyed around with USB Mobile Monitor without much luck on Windows 10 Technical Preview. I expected the USB setting to be defaulted back to either media or camera, but it's here to stay as accessory USB connection even after an uninstall. There doesn't seem to be an option for this in the dev options. How do I solve this? When connected as USB, both media/camera options are grayed out.
Hi there,
i would like to use Android Auto Wireless which is slowely rolled out at the moment.
First only Google Pixel phones could do it, now Samsung phones are certified too.
In theory it could work with every Pie (Android 9) device.
I bought a new Kenwood Headunit for my car and it works after enabling it in the developer options - BUT - without internet connection.
The phone automatically connects to the headunit's wifi and that's it. No internet available. Of course the headunit doesn't provide internet and wifi is just used for the connection.
My phone is a Xiaomi Mi Max 3 with MIUI11 (ROOTED) and Android 9.
Google Play Services: current beta (19.4.20)
Headunit Kenwood DMX8019DAB
How can i force the phone to use mobile data when connected to the headunits wifi?
Thanks

I have the same issue with my oneplus 6t when connected wirelessly to my Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX. My mobile data/LTE disconnects and wireless android auto becomes unusable. Needs help here.
I use a OP7TPro now and maybe this helps because I needed to change this setting to make it work:
Settings - WiFi - wifi settings - automatically swap to mobile data (or something like that, it's german on my phone)
I have the Android 10. Yup basically that it the solution. Go to wifi preferences and enable "auto switch to mobile data". Thanks.
Unfortunately this doesn't work on Xiaomi phones. One of the reasons I switched.
I can't connect my phone to my Peugeot 308 II Sw but I'm sure I'm missing something. I've tried several cables, including the original one from the charger.
As soon as I touch the Android Auto icon on my car, the phone asks about what to do with the USB connection and insists on charge only. When I enable debugging the same happens but a very quick white screen shows up on the phone and then quits. Car's screen shows an "Android Auto error" message.
What am I missing?
What would happen if you changed the usb configuration in developer options. Would that allow android auto to connect to your car?
I've tried the debugging mode only and no go. There are other options though, like "Always prompt when connecting to USB", that one is on and I assume it means asking what USB does? Is that the one you had in mind?
I do not touch the configuration of the usb. It is just automatically connects to the car. You have to to configure the bluetooth and thats it. Start bluetooth when you run android auto.

Bluetooth is connected to the car, it has all the permissions on... the car sees the phone as soon as I turn the key.
BTW, I know the car is compatible and other owners that I've talked to are able to get android auto running without a problem. That's what is odd about this.
I just bought a red magic 7. I tried to connect my red magic 7 to android auto of my car but it keeps pop up the options of "connect new device for charging only or connect for media or connect for transferring file". However, no matter what option I selected it doesn't show up the android auto. I tried 2 different cable both won't work: 1, sumsung's usb to typec; 2, oneplus 6's usb to typec.
Does someone know the issue? So frustrated.
I believe if you go to Setting>More Connection Setting> Android Auto. You'll be put in the Android Auto setting. There should be a blue button says "+ Connect Car".

The "Connect car" just shows please plug in usb cable than that's it.
It's not working at all, I tried EVERYTHING. All USB modes, older Android Auto versions, latest beta nightly Android auto builds, with USB debugging and without it, developer options - you name it. The most I was able to reach was Android Auto giving me a big red error message telling me my phone doesn't come with Android Auto installed in its OS and thus not supported, sadly.
It's on ZTE/Nubia to implement in their awful OS (sorry, but it is. I barely even get Whatsapp notifications to work)
