[MOD][MCU] cs-x Mod MTCB/C MCU firmware (SoundPatched) - MTCB Software Development

Modified firmware MCU MTCB/MTCC in the part of the presets of the sound processor (Sound Modified)
thanks to the esteemed @Hal9k_ for advice on creating a topic on the forum for English-speaking users and respected @typos1 and @Wadzio for their help and tips on attaching MCU firmware files to the thread
link to Russian mirror
All the modified MCU firmware are made on the basis of the original firmware of the corresponding suffixes and versions. The following values are displayed:
-- for the low-frequency band of the equalizer became: frequency 60Hz, Q-factor 0.5;
-- for the mid-range of the equalizer became: frequency 500Hz, quality factor 0.75;
-- for the high-frequency band of the equalizer became: frequency 15kHz, Q-factor 0.75;
-- for loudness compensation: frequency 250 Hz, 5 dB level;
-- for the subwoofer channel became: the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter 120Hz, antiphase output

Great, thanks very much !

Looks interesting and guess it's time to read up before doing a flash..
Anything we should know before hand?
Lol..might have to find a hill top with a bit to sun coming in and good internet connection in case I screwed things up and flash this and a new rom.. will make this old unit feel like a best again..
Thanks for the continued work.. the Chinese should take note..

Yes, because the MCU firmware is universal and does not depend on the specific type of Rokchip processor RK3066(PX2) or RK3188(PX3)

Why is there a size difference in the 2 files (RK3066 dmcu vs RK3188 dmcu) if they are the same and compatible?

Is your question general or specific?
-- if specific, please provide examples of these specific files that need to be compared
-- if common, the firmware of the MCUs are related to the Rocchip processors the same ratio as, for example, to the Intel Pentium or other processors, becouse are not associated with either one or the other
Perhaps I did not quite understand your question, becouse English is not my native language
In addition, I do not know the head units on the RK3066 with the MCU firmware dmcu.img

What I wanted to say was, in this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3246386 it says mcu files work on both RK3066 and RK3188 units, but the file sizes of the mcu files are different between RK3066 and RK3188 units and for RK3066 it's an mcu file and for RK3188 it's an dmcu file.
For example MTCD-JY-2.06sp (Sound Patched) from https://forum.xda-developers.com/an...ent/mod-cs-x-mod-mtcd-e-mcu-firmware-t3816042 is a different file size as the mcu file MTCB-JY-2.86m from the OP of this thread.

Since the head units of Microntek consist of two components (MCU and CPU), in fact, the dependence of the MCU firmware from the Microntek platforms is as follows:
- first appeared Microntek platform MTCB family, based on the IAP15L4K61S2 microcontroller from the MCS-51 family and a ARM processor coreboard on the dual-core Rockchip RK3066(PX2) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (Android 4.2.2). Microcontroller from MCS-51 family is 8-bit and MCU firmware code depends of Instruction set and was approximately 45 kB for a max total user size of 56 kByte (file mcu.img);
-- a little later appeared the new ARM processor coreboard on the quad-core Rockchip RK3188(PX3) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (Android 4.4.4). MCU remained the same as before (file mcu.img);
-- a little later appeared the software-updated Microntek platform MTCC family, based on the same IAP15L4K61S2 microcontroller from the MCS-51 family and a ARM processor coreboard on the same quad-core Rockchip RK3188(PX3) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (but Android 5.1.1). By adding a new functionality MCU firmware code was approximately 55 kB for a max total user size of 56 kByte (file mcu.img). For the long-range increase of the MCU firmware code there was not enough free space left;
- to solve the problem of lack of free space for firmware binary code in the IAP15L4K61S2 microcontroller, Microntek developers have prepared a new platform MTCD based on a new microcontroller from another family
-- in a result appeared the new Microntek platform MTCD family, based on the other STM32F091 microcontroller from the ARM Cortex-M0 family and a ARM processor coreboard on the same quad-core Rockchip RK3188(PX3) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (Android 5.1.1). Microcontroller from stm32f0 family is 32-bit and MCU firmware code depends of Instruction set and was approximately 160 kB for a max total user size of 248 kByte (file dmcu.img);
-- at later appeared the software-updated Microntek platform MTCE family, based on the same STM32F091 microcontroller from the ARM Cortex-M0 family and a ARM processor coreboard on the same quad-core Rockchip RK3188(PX3) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (Android 5.1.1) and new pin-compatible coreboard on octa-core Rockchip RK3368(PX5) from the Cortex A53 (ARMv7) family (Android 6.0.1) and new pin-compatible coreboard on quad-core Rockchip RK3188(PX3) from the Cortex A9 (ARMv7) family (Android 7.1.1) and new pin-compatible coreboard on octa-core Rockchip RK3368(PX5) from the Cortex A53 (ARMv7) family (Android 8.0). Now by adding a new functionality MCU firmware code was approximately 230 kB for a max total user size of 248 kByte (file dmcu.img).

It is possible to build android pie for any amlogic using khadas android sources. These roms are just 'proof of concept'. You can build one for your box using this manifest https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_manifest and making your device tree based on this example (in fact only need to change bluetooth/wifi vendor and add proper remote config) https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_device_khadas/tree/khadas-hertz-pie-tappro9377

after almost 24 hours of use I am very satisfied with the rom it is stable it works lan and wifi advance and program the iptv well handles codec the colors and brightness are correct I am testing it the bluetoch would have details my box is S912 2ram 16rom

Where did you find above roms from?
Are you able to update these roms with specific configurations?
The X92 i own, which boots with the roms you add, do not let the front panel light up with the time and if Wifi/SD or USB is connected.
The remote does not work as it should be, the only buttons that work are: Arrow down, Enter, and back key. All other buttons do not reply.
I have the old Android 7.1.2. Rom to extract the data i need, but i have no clue where to look and how to import it.
Testing went good;
Android 9 is fast and the ROM boots quickly. Wifi, Bluetooth, USB and Gigabit ethernet are working.

This ROM almost nails it and i'm really pleased with this one actually.
The rom works great and everything seems to be working fine except for the front LCD/timer.
What do work:
- All USB ports!
- Ethernet, wireless 2.4ghz/5ghz and bluetooth.
- Remote is fully functional, i can now turn off the device and boot it from sleep
- All languages supported, took me a while to move it from Vietnamese to Dutch.
- SDcard
- HDMI on full screen
- KODI and youtube boots like the OS, fast en without any issues so far.
What i didnt check, is this a 3G ram rom?
Will this work on Nexbox A1?

Hi!
Would you know if there's an OTA for the LPDDR3 version?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm glad you have found ROM. Here is build for LPDDR3 with BCM bluetooth, multiwifi, and gigabit LAN, arm64, ATVBOX6D_update_khadas_pie_multiwifi_20200709_arm64_LPDDR3_ATV.img
I have tested it on Beelink GT1 Ultimate with LPDDR3 memory (LPN1 serial numbers)
It is possible to build android pie for any amlogic using khadas android sources. These roms are just 'proof of concept'. You can build one for your box using this manifest https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_manifest and making your device tree based on this example (in fact only need to change bluetooth/wifi vendor and add proper remote config) https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_device_khadas/tree/khadas-hertz-pie-tappro9377
kernel source: https://github.com/khadas/linux/tree/khadas-vims-pie

I see you tested this ROM with Beelink GT1 Ultimate LPN1 which I also have so can you please tell me what works and what doesn't work?
Also can you tell me is there some newer or better Android 9 ROM for Beelink GT1 Ultimate LPN1? Thank you.

The first problems appeared with the Official ROM (X626B-H623JKN-P-210127V323):
1) Echo when receiving and making calls (GSM / APPS / VOIP) till now I'm not sure if it's a software or hardware problem.
2) Phone Lagging and freezing even when IDLE.
Hardware seems OK after a visual inspection, so i decided to try with CUSTOM ROM to see if the problem's gonna be solved.
Well it didn't goes a planned phone bricked and revived after several attempts, and managed to flash Lineage OS 18.1 and the result was:
1) Echo problem still present
2) Phone became more responsive and quicker.
3) New problem with the Auto-brightness / Night Light feature.
After digging through several forums, I ended up with the following approach to solve the problem:
1) Some forums suggest to try another Official ROM with a different KERNEL to see if it's gonna solve the echo problem, since the CUSTOM ROM uses the Official KERNEL.
2) On other forum they suggest to port the proprietary VENDOR and some file in the KERNEL from the Official ROM to the CUSTOM ROM, sounds like a good plan to try porting a different KERNEL to solve both ECHO and auto-brightness feature.
Like this Repository: https://github.com/AndroidBlobs/vendor_infinix_Infinix-X610
3) DeFluence App -[Root] Potential Echo Fix.
(Light Senor & proximity sensor are working fine and sending correct Lux Values, Velis Auto Brightness APP solved the problem but it's not working very well with Night light --> (constant backlight dimming)
I'm not very familiar with building CUSTOMS ROM but i can manage to follow some wiki tutorials, but what approach should I take first ? and a tutorial will be more than welcome!
Many thanks.
