Hi, i wanted a little help from the pro guys out there.
I recently bought a Galaxy s6 (sm g920f). It was on Android 6.0.1 and i should be able to upgrade to Android 7.0. However, the software update button doesn't respond i.e it doesn't even open at all like no response at all. Then i used Smart Switch. No help there too. Then i decided to update it manually(my first try). Downloaded the firmware from Sammmobile for g920f and when everything was ready then i discovered in the download mode that the device is G920P, not G920F. I almost flashed it. Then i went to check if there were updates for the firmware of G920P. I found them and i discovered that most of the G920P were the American models of Sprint and Virgin etc but i couldn't find any sign of the Sprint/Virgin apps or logo etc. Then it occurred to me that the phone might be rooted but my brother also has an s6 which is rooted and samsung health doesn't work on it because of it being rooted. But my Samsung health app works just fine. I downloaded Root checker and it says "root hasn't been installed properly". So now i'm confused as to which firmware should i download from SammMobile and will it affect my root? If the phone is of Sprint(which i think it is) will i be unable to use my local SIM.?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have a fresh , not upgraded Galaxy S6 Edge in its box.
Currently I use my S5 rooted without any issues. As I like to use my phones rooted, I'd like to root this one as well.
But I am not sure which root method is easily applicable with minimum limitations.
For example, I need to use Samsung Allshare cast dongle and it needs original recovery image.
So I prefer to root without recovery change , or if I have to change recovery, I'd like to revert it back to original.
So, how should I root my S6 Edge ?
And, as it is not upgraded yet, should I root then upgrade or upgrade then root ? Which one first ?
Thanks.
Btw, my device is G925FQ , sold in Turkey specificly.
Hi,
I'd appreciate any ideas.
Thanks.
I am currently stuck in a boot loop. I have tried several fixes to no avail. So I want to try and flash it back to stock with ODIN. Problem being I cannot find the correct firmware for my phone. The phone is a Galaxy S6 Edge, runnning 6.0.1 marshmellow. Model is an international unlocked version purchased through ebay. Starting with SM-G925F. The full line was G925FXXU3DPER. My carrier in the states was AT&T Go. I'm not sure how much of this helps if any but trying to provide as much info possible to help you help me
I have another recent thread asking for help with the boot loop if you would have any input for it. I was trying to save my files and media but as I need my phone working I am just trying to get it up and running ASAP. Factory reset, flash back to stock etc. Apart from taking it to the store as the very last resort.

You can always find the popular Galaxy model firmwares @ sammobile.com but the downloads are very slow. I'd try the one I linked to first as it will download WAY faster.
Hello all, my device is Samsung j7 nxt (j701f). I downloaded an android 8.1 firmware and installed with odin. After rooted I am facing some bugs. Like after turning on mobile data it does auto off and on. I am not sure this problem happens after root or the bug is from firmware. But I am not feeling good on oreo. So I want to downgrade my device to android 7.1. Normally it is not possible. I contacted to samsung customer service they also said they can not do this. Is there any way to downgrade my os. My mobile is rooted, has xposed and also busybox installed.
Sorry in advance if this is common knowledge. Semi-noob. I searched forums far and wide for past 3 days for this info.
Device: Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge SM-G935T (Snapdragon)
I have the latest Samsung/T-Mobile firmware installed (July 2019 update) with Binary 10.
In a nutshell:
From what I have gathered, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (T-Mobile) has a locked boot loader, which means that it CANNOT be rooted or modded (at this time). Is this entirely correct?
In detail:
I switched my phone service from T-Mobile to Safelink with the same phone and ported phone number. The warranty is expired, and I accept the risks. I want to get rid of T-Mobile bloatware on my unrooted device, and even install custom ROMs so that I can experiment with the possibility of better WiFi signal strength and other fun stuff. My phone is great, but it does not run as smoothly or fast as I would like it to.
Tutorial after tutorial has resulted in dead ends (SW Check Fail using Odin and download mode, Heimdall, etc.). The main issue seems to be that the binaries cannot be older than what I currently have installed, and I have the latest one, Binary 10.
It is my understanding that this cannot be navigated, unless I get off my butt and figure out how to exploit it myself. Is this correct?
If not, is there any way to get around this locked boot loader issue with the SM-G935T having the latest stock firmware (Binary 10)?
You guys rock.
Tap
I swear to god I've been strugling for solid 1 hour just to find a proper firmware binary 10 just like you. But it seems like worthless. If you find anything please help me *sob*

Hi, i have issue to flash twrp on my galaxy S9+ (to flash a custom rom after) I have read tons of old thread that did not work for my phone (flashing official rom and wait for 168 hours or more, connect to the internet and so on...) none have work so far, even with OEM unlock on!!!
I try to downgrade to android 9 but get a message as it is not allowed from odin.
Is there a way to flash a custom binary to this phone? I have a recent updated android 10 as official rom and get the message RMM state prenormal when trying to flash twrp ("Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed")
Here the screen capture of information about the version that is installed on my phone (an official rom from sammobile for my country XEF)
I am getting crazzy with all wrong information and wrong tuto that never work for me.
Plz help me or tell me i will never be able to install TWRP on my phone, i need reliable information about what happen really on my phone.
I can't believe that samsung win this war and force us to stay with all this google ads and preventing us from being able to root this smartphone.
Sorry if my english is not perfect, i used this site to find custom rom for so many years now, i can't believe my phone will stay locked for ever.
Thank you for your kindness.
