Negative Color Shortcut Key - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Hi Guys,
I am hopping someone can help me with setting up the shortcut for negative/inverted color view on my S9. On my old S7 I've set up the accessibility shortcut to enable negative view by pressing the home button 3 times quickly.
Is there a way to do the same with the S9? I would prefer for it to be the home button, but would be ok with the bixby.
Thank you.

Or is there a way to enable this icon in the tas/notification pulldown?

Kinda answered my own question by accident.
After enabling the negative view, pressing volume-UP and power button at the same time acts as a switch between normal and negative.

Does this still work for you?
I used the shortcut for a while and then it stopped working with the latest OS update.

[Q] Repurposing Home Button to show Notification Menu?

Dear Androidsters
I'm very much enjoying my Samsung Galaxy Note (running stock Android 4.1.2, rooted), and it's waaay better than all my previous 11 palmtop computers put together.
I have four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism [1], since I find this to be quicker and more efficient than the default Home Screens paradigm. I have explored using various app-launching Home Screen replacement apps (such as GO Launcher EX, 3D Home, etc., &c., all of which stick to using the Home Screens paradigm), but I much prefer to use the Notification Menu to launch apps.
Android is justly famous for its 'Customise Everything!' abilities, but search as I may, I cannot find a way of customising a single press on the Home Button. The final finesse would be that, in any and every situation (including when apps are running full screen, where the Notification Bar method of accessing the Notification Menu is absent), a single press on the Home Button shows the Notification Menu instead of the Home Screen (or whichever replacement app-launching Home Screens app it currently launches).
So does anybody know of a customising utility app which will allow me to remap a single press on the Home Button to show the Notification Menu?
Thanks in advance for your help.
[1] Four apps which effectively make my Notification Menu into my app launching mechanism:
Simple Shortcut Panel, Launch From Notification, Settings Extended, and Notification Toggle
There is a way but I know little about button mapping, ask some app developers, they'll probably know.

Home and Power button replacement (no-root)

For the people who is a control freak, or with broken power or home buttons, I am happy to share these two absolutely beautiful apps I have discovered.
1. Multi-action home button
http://www.google.co.in/url?q=https...7n4pkQ&usg=AFQjCNFsr2yX486-UxxUG3mGaS0z1TT6fQ
This app makes a virtual home button on the screen just above the home button. Various configurations to try. Double tap or long hold options available to set according to the user.
2. My Home button
http://www.google.co.in/url?q=https...YAjxHg&usg=AFQjCNHBABZ8kToSryvhOweLEj1UNpyu9w
This app enables a widget on the notification panel with option for home, recents and power buttons (and another one for app shortcuts ) Very handy if u r concerned about breaking ur power and home button.
And if u are handy with apktool and modding systemui, here is another option for the systemui mod. Try this link, and yes, this option requires root and works only on Samsung devices.

Cheers. And plz help me get some recognition in this community by hitting thanks button below.
Thanks for the recommendations. Didn't know Multi Action Home Button. Nice app, but like so often: pulling down the notification bar doesn't work on Lolliflop anymore!

Multi action home button is bada**. Lol. I use it all the time, and my home button, I use it just to lock the phone. Using Nova launcher prime, and fortunately the swipe down gesture works for notification panel in the latest update.

Reassigning button functions

The Truesmart buttons on the side seem to only have one function (on/off for top, back for bottom) but is there a way to reassign a function to these buttons? Like long press for settings or volume or home screen?
The reason I ask is, if I'm using music or Maps I have to hit the back button four or five times to get back to the home screen to do something else, like adjust volume. This also undoes anything that's going on in the app I'm "backing" out of. Anyone have a solution?

All In One Gestures (app) is your answer - install from Play Store.
Allows you to configure swipes (and volume bar) .

THANK YOU! You are awesome, this solved my problem. It was driving me nuts to not have a home button!

Allways on Navigation Bar? Request!

Is there anyway I can have the navigation bar on all the time? Including fullscreen videos? I hate having to click back on the camera (and other apps) for the navbar to appear when I can just press home if the navbar was always on. Is there anyway to do this through Xposed orany other method?
The soft keys?
If you're talking about the soft keys then there are 2 ways for them to pop up on the screen.
1. Tap the screen (this only works on certain apps)
2. Swipe - if you're in landscape mode then swipe the right edge inwards the soft keys will appear.
If you're in Portrait then swipe up from the bottom edge and the soft keys will appear.
But if you're talking about the Navigation bar then you need to swipe Downward no matter if you're in Landscape or Portrait..

I know how to make them appear, I'm asking if there's a way to make them stay there all the time like physical keys. Off topic is there also a way to remove the delay response of holding the power button for the power options to appear?

Sorry I can't give you firm answers because my phone is with LG for repair, but I do recall seeing in settings options for when the buttons appear and disappear. It allowed you to set it on a per-app basis.
As for the delay response for the power button, your best bet would be to see if there is an Xposed plugin. To use Xposed you'll need to root the phone.
When I get my phone back I can give you more specifics, but LG has the worst warranty repair service and has yet to fix the issue after sending it to them four times.
You at JBLM? Thanks for your service!

Thanks for your reply  but I've looked at everything possibly related to power button delay or the navigation bar (soft keys) on Xposed before posting here and still nothing. I did find a screenshot delay remover in Xposed and works great. Finding the power button is not as important as the soft keys because I can just use Rom Toolbox's rebooter and power/reboot/recovery etc... The soft keys thing on the other hand I would like to have because I hate having to pull up for them to make them appear... Iv'e looked at the settings you mention for showing/not showing per app but every app is not listed, its just some of the apps on your phone (apps that I would like to have the soft keys always on are mostly video apps which are not listed on this settings.) I', almost used to it by now, I just rather have the keys always on or a phone with actual physical keys.
Yes I live in JBLM . I'm a dog handler in the Army.

Menu/Recents button and long press for split screen in CM14+

I'd not noticed this before but it seems the RN3 left hand button is a recents button on press and a menu button on long press. This prevents the handy split screen feature from working in CM14 and above on this button. I can get this feature to work by adding a "Long press action" to the home button in settings however I would like it to work the same as my other Android devices.
Any thoughts on how this can be changed? I've had a mess in the keyboard layouts (where I also removed the long press on fingerprint to start the camera as it's annoying) but no luck with this.
Thanks.
EDIT: After changing the values again in Settings->Buttons this now seems to be working as it should. Odd.
