Could you maybe try JBB's tool to write the rootfs and system image to your device? (JBBgameich/halium-install on gitlab, XDA won't let me post replies with URLs )
Could be interesting to try, but im worried if this can brick my phone...

It does not brick your phone (source: I tried myself )
Also, I kinda gave up on this project, maybe I'll continue it later if I have some more time.
If anyone is interested in working on this feel free to poke me on discord (noud02#0080).
EDIT: forgot to say, it does not boot successfully :<

Hey guys,
Welcome to my All-in-1-FlashTool for the Nexus 6
My target is to publish my All-in-1-FlashTool for several devices.
This tool helps you to flash .img files or similar things. It' a alternative for my Univeral_ADB-Helper tool which you can use as well.
It includes the most important commands to flash your phone.
The tool is an easy batch file, so you only need to unpack the .zip and run the batch file.
It is still in development and new features will be added soon.
I don't have this phone for my own, I've just developed this tool for its.

Did you realize that this thread wasn't updated since 4 years? So reviving it might not help much.
The behavior you see is perfectly normal.
If you flash a factory image the recovery you have is overwritten with the factory one.
Also adb has to be enabled in settings.

flyme_Nexus-5_6.7.12.29IR.zip
I flashed it with no problem, but the boot process just stucks on Flyme animation. Shadу APKs inside, by the way.
system/priv-app/Browser/Browser.apk = ZIP = assets/plug.jar = ZIP = classes.dex - modified Android/SMSreg.XM
system/priv-app/Video/Video.apk = ZIP = assets/YoukuPluginVideo_926_prd.apk = ZIP = classes.dex - modified Android/Apptrack.C
I figured out how to boot it: phone encryption must be off.
I flashed it and everything looks fine, the first boot took quite a long time, maybe 25 minutes to finally show the welcome screen, i almost forgot about it
Awesome ROM. Flashing right now! There's a chance to see the 6.3.x version?

Whats the difference between this Unofficial Rom and the Official Rom? Just wondering.
On step 7 when you say wipe everything. You mean also vendor and internal storage?
Being new to this, it seems daunting only cuz a friend told me never to flash an image , idk maybe he was high or somethin but I gotta bit to learn before I try this.
You say "fastboot flash boot twrp.img" , will it brick it??
Kind regards, Jason L .

TO USE THIS RECOVERY BOOT THIS RECOVERY LIKE PBRP
There is a workaround for booting PBRP and Images:
Boot PBRP and images is possible also on Android 10, but it needs some workaround...
1) Turn phone into Download Mode
2) Use command
fastboot flash recovery PitchBlack-PL2_sprout-2.9.1-20200613-0901-UNOFFICIAL.img.img
(PitchBlack-PL2_sprout-2.9.1-20200613-0901-UNOFFICIAL.img short forum PBRP)
where PBRP.img is your PBRP image you want to boot up
It will show this error:
No such partition
This is because an A/B Device does not have a recovery partition. It's located in the boot partition itself.
3) Now you are able to boot your PBRP image again:
fastboot boot PitchBlack-PL2_sprout-2.9.1-20200613-0901-UNOFFICIAL.img
Changelog
Code:
v2.9.0
- Update kernel
- Update DM Verity Logic

No I am not going to update this project anymore
allright, @keneankit01 , thanks for letting me/ us know. I guess updating a fork with the latest master from PBRP is not just copy/ paste but a lot of custom tweaking. Just out of interest: how many hours dev work do you think would it roughly take, or minimum/ maximum, if that's easier for you to guesstimate.
Any idea for keeping it permanently
Using magisk bootpeach
Any other for keep permanently
Like zip flashing
Any customkernel forpl2 for performance in gaming
