I am on Resurrection remix 6.1 rom oreo based and i want to root it via magisk. Can i flashed the latest magisk without getting bootloop if yes then which version?
Also if i get bootloop will i be able to get out of it by flashing magisk uninstaller.

I am currently using NOS rom and The Strix firmware mentioned in the official LOS 14.1 thread. But I am having various signal problems with the firmware and any other firmware does not work with nougat roms.
So, I just want to flash the rom so as to have the latest firmware and a marshmallow bootloader and be able to flash Nougat roms without any hiccups..!
Can anyone help me?
P.S i think that I have to simply flash the rom with supersu and lazy patcher in the twrp recovery, after clearing the data. But, I am not sure.

You flash the latest global dev rom in fastboot, using Miflash.
Hi everyone, I have a trouble trying to install magisk 13.3 on my galaxy s3 mini with LineageOS 14.1. I had omnirom with android 5.1 before, then I back to the stock rom and then I installed this rom, I did this all in one day, so the lineageos is clean. Now, I'm trying to install magisk but I can't, in magisk manager shows I didn't installed any version and isn't rooted, but I did it with TWRP.
What I did:
Android 5.1 (omni rom) -> back to stock rom -> flashed TWRP 3.0.2 -> root with SuperSU 2.45 -> flashed LineageOS 14.1 -> flashed magisk 13.3 -> installed magisk manager 5.1.1 -> magisk manager shows no magisk installed and no root.
I hope someone can give me a solution of what I did wrong, or if a missed a step. If there's another rom more compatible with magisk please tell me, I want magisk for some apps that I can't run on stock rom because of the android version. Thanks!
i have unlocked my rn3 (kenzo ) by unofficial method by flashing LP miui rom nd changing bootloder file but then i installed nitrogen os 8.1 it booted successfully but then i tried 3-4 roms none of them booted plz help ;_;
Update to latest firmware , for that just flash latest miui in your phone and then install twrp and install any rom and enjoy

Hello everyone,
We all know that Redmi 5A(riva) officially shifted with Android Nougat and it got good development with various custom roms. Later riva got Android Oreo update and users who were flashing custom rom at the top of oreo firmware was facing bootloop or several issues if it boots.
To prevent such issues, i enforced Nougat Firmware V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI and it will be necessary to flash that firmware before flashing the rom (once only) else it will show error. Currently, Lineage OS 16.0 comes with enforced firmware and upcoming rom will have that too!
Note : Users who are on MIUI Oreo and if they want to rollback to nougat firmware for flashing custom rom, they are required to flash nougat fastboot rom or follow this post .

Just flashing nougat fw from recovery won't work, flash is from miflash tool or follow the post and if you want to upgrade it to oreo fw then you can directly flash from recovery or flash from miflash tool.

am already on nougat firmware, now i'm use your los-17.1, and i want to be back to miui oreo, i have installed oreo firmware and oreo recovery, but when i flash the miui global oreo, it stuck on setup and boot back to recovery.
Hi Guys,
i am currently flashing different GSI to my Galaxy A20e.
Since the experimental TWRP only worked after i flashed an Adroid 9 based Stock firmware, i was until now also only able to flash Pie based GSI using TWRP.
The Q Based GSI won´t boot.
Does it make a difference wich stock FW i flashed before installing TWRP and flashing the GSI.
Is a flashed Q Stock FW required to install Q based GSI?
As far as i thought the Stock FW does not affect these parts, since i was able to flash the GSI even after breaking the installed FW..
