It depends upon everyone's usage.
I'd say you should try it yourself.
For me, i get around 5.40 hrs to 6 hrs on most of the times with LTE and sometimes on WiFi (when I'm home) and some YouTube, PubG etc.
New ArrowOS update is here!
Changelogs:
* Unlink notification volume
* Fixed lockscreen charging values
* Heads up notifications
* Recents locking
* Performance improvements in UI
* MicroG support
* Increase Incall audio
* 2.4ghz Wifi channel bonding

Using 20180718 build I don't see any custom settings section under Settings or find them added into the regular/default sections - no turn off nav bar, no advanced power menu, no status bar tweaks, etc - has Moto Actions but that's it.

Meh, read the title. Understand the concept.
Also, Power Menu / Advance reboot etc are in Settings > Battery
Battery icon customisation aswell is in Settings > Battery
Themes, Navigation bar, Weather etc are in Settings > Display
Gestures like double tap etc are in Settings > System > Gestures
Heads up disable is in Settings > Notification
Roaming icon is in Settings > network & internet
This rom will be abandoned like the others.

Thanks for clarifying, found everything and am now running the ROM which seems pretty good so far. I did understand the concept and do prefer streamlined ROMs with relatively few extra settings that I'll actually use, and if you had listed some main features in the OP I would've known to look longer to find them. I've installed most ROMs here since this G5+ forum was started and never saw nav bar under Advanced Display or advanced power menu under Battery, and since no nav bar w/FP gestures is the first thing I set up, I gave up after not quickly finding that. Thanks for your work and hope it continues despite what other posters may say.

Why don't you guys read everything before flashing ?
You came back to Custom Oreo from Soak Oreo builds ,right ?
Just flash twrp flashable stock Nougat by Nzepred and then flash any custom Oreo roms.. your FP will be back.
This is the best rom for potter very smooth and fluid and every option is present where it should be unike other roms where they accumulate all the option in single place that doesnt make any sense.
Battery life is awesome too but i noticed stand by drain when i sleep at night battery was 35 and when i woke up it was 10 on first cycle i will try use doze for gms and see the result.
Apart from this rom is amazing everything just works perfectly.
Thank you for thus wonderful rom. Everything is damn good except that I'm unable to use android messages app.
Feature request: could you please include Google dialer and android messages as default apps ?
I'm very picky with ROMs apparently, but this one really works for me. All the things that were bugging me about Lineage, this doesn't have. This is more-or-less the experience I was looking for with Lineage originally- a basic rom that feels like what stock should have been. Notification light, passes safety net, everything more-or-less works the way you'd think and is found where you expect it to be. Smooth and great, this ROM deserves a lot more love than it is getting!!
Only thing that I'm concerned about is battery. First day I used it alot so I had a decent amount of SOT, but today I'm using it less yet still seeing steady battery depletion. Could just be that the battery needs to be calibrated, nothing in particular seems to be draining it more than normal.

Any update on the battery for you? Does it get better over time? My phone does seem to be using more power than I expected in standby too. I'm wondering if it has to do with how it is handling the radio? Reception seems different than stock, but it might just be the bars are displaying differently.
Sad that the P version is getting more attention, Oreo is rock solid and aside from battery, everything seems to work as well (or better) than stock!

Ok after setting everything up and making myself at home, I have 3 questions.
Maybe they're feature requests, or maybe I just couldn't find the settings for it.
1. I couldn't find any way to change the lockscreen weather settings ( Custom location, update interval, disabling it or switching between Farenheit and Celsius ).
At the moment it is set to farenheit which tells me nothing.
2. Guess this one could be a feature request...
Could you, if you have the time, please ad a recents RAM bar?
I realize that on a device with 3gigs of RAM it is not that important to see the ram usage there aswell, but I really found it to be usefull at times.
3. Probably a feature request aswell...
Another option that I found really usefull was the the display of the current network speed/usage in the statusbar.
Maybe you could think about adding that in the future aswell.
Besides that this ROM is really amazing and Thank you guys so much for your work.
You're Awesome!
thanks, another one!

I flashed this ROM this morning and like it a lot so far. Nice customization options, no force closes; seems solid. I installed xposed and have Greenify, xgels, and App Settings running without issue. Bluetooth connected to the vehicle 1st try. I'll let it sit for a day and report back.
Thanks for the new ROM!
So far running it for about an hour+, really nice, I love all the customization and options you can do, running really smooth. Still running stock kernel have not tried to flash Agni yet, will do but like running the rom on stock before switching over. Really nice work on this, keep it up! Thanks

Anytime I start changing kernels it makes it unreliable. I'd say stick with stock if possible.
The only kernel I have tried was plasma omni version but sometimes the screen won't wake up and it freezes in deep sleep draining the battery etc.

Running Smooth... 1-issue but it may just be my phone
I'm liking all the customization and options!
So far, my GPS is the only issue, but it's been an issue on a couple other Roms... Including TW. I'll have to dig and find out if there's any fixes.
I may have to flash a couple more Roms to try and narrow down if my GPS issue is software or hardware based (hardware I'm starting to suspect), but once resolved.. this can definitely be my daily driver. Great Work!

Question, those int scripts, battery tweaks, speedy, file speed up boot, screen tweaks, are those are presets so you just enable them and the scripts will run and do there thing? Are any tested or proven to improve,? J/w really, was going to run plain for a few days, then maybe start enabling them to see if anything improves.
Confirmed for those who can't stand the Google Now Audio Crackle. It's present in the rom. Sigh...
Thanks for the rom though. Everything else seems solid except for the Sprint Logo in the status bar but the can be turned off.

Working Correctly for Google Now Tone
OMNI, Gummy, and Carbon, Unofficial AOKP, Stock Roms
Not Working Correctly for Google Now Tone
Pacman, CM11, Official AOKP, Official/Unofficial Dirty Unicorns, Vanir
It has to do with the device/vender trees some how. I am not a builder but I know my stuff inside and out of roms. I have tried replacing files related to audio for months from OMNI to lets say roms like CM11 and it still does it. Audio out of every other app working fine. It's just the tone to let you know to start speaking.
While very minor to some. This drives me insane as I use it daily. I'm willing to try and help fix it for sure. This rom is super sweet other than this.
Thanks for this! Nearly flipped out when I saw this last night as I was returning to stock, rooting and was looking for something fresh to flash. I ran the official builds a few months back and ran a port from GT7105. Hope to stay on this for awhile. You may want to add a mention in the OP about the carrier logo. It only showed as empty space for me and I thought that everything was just shifted to the right for that reason.

Chroma is a lightweight AOSP ROM focused on battery, performance and stability.
The philosophy of Chroma is to stay relatively close to Google's stock Marshmallow with the additions of essential features that should have been included with stock Marshmallow as well as providing the most up-to-date security patches.
Features:
Modified version of hellsgod's HellsCore kernel
Layers support
Native LED notifications (solid, limited to RGB colors)

I still need to add the led lights in and time service gets reset at reboot till it connects to the network. I'll have those fixed later
I tested the build Today (syko posted one few hours ago), feels good, works good, all important settings available, layer on board, well done. Only color profiles doesn't stick but i will take a look what's the problem, maybe only for me.

Color profiles on the kernel? If you're using Franco kernel, be sure to toggle on the set on boot switch to have it remain there after boot.

Yes, i tested with FK and FK App and a few different tweaker apps. Values and profile doesn't stick for me but i thing something was wrong at my first boot , i reseted all and after another reboot it's fine now.
Yeahhh, fantastic job for us,
I don't have a life and I'm an addict ROM flasher. I will try this out as its apparently a hit on the nexus 6. Thank you for the ROM!

This is still all zephik's work. I'm just handling device specific stuff to bring chroma to other devices beyond the n6
Sweet. I was wondering about this ROM when I saw it in the N6.
Does it have ambient display?
Where can I get the chroma wallpaper??
Just an info.
Tried to clean flash.
Without gappsapps first. System ui has stopped right at start
Another clean with gapps system ui stopped right at start.
Same for the other guy from German forum that tested it.
Anyway will test next version without a doubt.
Thx for the work to our layers dev
@sykopompos @zephiK thanks to bring Chroma to N5. Just flashed it couple of hours ago with franco r74 and banks gapps 3/17. Everythings fine so far :good:

Yes it does.
The chroma wallpapers are found on a Dropbox. I'll have to update the third post to have the link to the wallpapers, they're in 1440p and not 1080p though.

I believe that @sykopompos packaged the zip with Franco kernel. You need to use a kernel with the torch commit otherwise you'll get system ui fc. If syko did package the zip with Franco then it should work out of the box and the kernel you alternatively flashed is missing the commit.
The torch commit is needed for navigation ring customization.

Is there a way, on the phone, to go into the flashable .dat and remove/replace files/folders that we don't want?
Will dl francos latest and try flash it right after.
Didn't flash any kernel with it. Juzt rom and su
In display setting I don't see ambient display controllers

I guess the answer is YES..
Bluetooth?
Does bluetooth work on this while connected to wi-fi? I know there's a bug with AOSP roms and bluetooth. I'd hate to install it only to go back to MOAR because of working bluetooth.
I loved Carbon rom on my S3 and have been waiting for it on the S5. Unfortunately I'm having to stay away from AOSP because of bluetooth and low volume.
Bluetooth works with or without WiFi on and GPS locks just fine! Give it a try and you may not flash again until android M gets here for our devices!
Thanks, I know it was really choppy when trying to stream in my car. So choppy that it was unusable. I'll give it a shot this weekend.
This is hands down the absolute most stable AOSP LP based ROM I have tried. I have always been a huge fan of CarbonROM and always kept going back to their last KK build because I couldn't find a LP based ROM that wasn't all buggy. I've been running this now for a few days and am so satisfied with it, that I even deleted my old KK backup. Lol.
Thanks for this. Please, please, PLEASE keep updating it as you can!
Sent from my SM-G900P using Tapatalk
It still does choppy audio on aosp ROMs when streaming to a Bluetooth device and Wi-Fi is on. Can I post a YouTube link? I recorded it. It doesn't do this on TouchWiz. It's the main reason I haven't been running aosp.

Indeed this is CM based..
Everything is running good, except for the bluetooth issue i contacted you about. I've also found that the "reboot" menu in "buttons" under "Carbonrom Fibers" does not provide the extended menu, and when enabled in "developer options" it just gives a soft reboot with both on. Also the "enable hardware keys" does not work either, it only powers them off for me, but they are still functional. I do love how stable, smooth and responsive it is though. I missed CarbonRom and was wondering if it was ever going to make its way to LP. Thanks!

I was having the same issue with advanced reboot as well. I worked around it by using the advanced reboot provided by Gravity Box. It works great and even provides some other missing options that the ROM itself is lacking.

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES:1. Save ALL content you wish to keep on your PC or in a cloud.
2. Download this version of TWRP, ROM and Gapps to your PC.
3. Boot device into bootloader mode, then do:
Code:
fastboot -w
4. Install TWRP and enter recovery.
5. Flash ROM & Gapps.
6. Reboot system. Done
* Do NOT flash any vendor images, as this is included in ROM (thanks to StatiXOS team). If you run into any issues with getting AquariOS to boot, you will likely want to start this process over and do a flash-all install of the latest Google angler image before proceeding to step 3 (fastboot -w). If you're still having issues, feel free to ask for help in here or in our Telegram chat.
Q & A
Read this before telling everyone something is broken!
1. Android Pay isn't working!! What do I do?
Go into Magisk settings and toggle on the "Hide Magisk" option. Then try again. Also, I've found once in a great while, even with this enabled, it will say it failed - if this happens, just try again...it'll work.
2. It's bootlooping after flashing ROM with Magisk - now what?
Don't flash Magisk until you have already booted into the new AquariOS build at least once. If that wasn't your issue, sometimes Substratum overlays can cause bootloops. If you have anything applied, flash the SubstratumRescue zip from your substratum directory
3. Why is the built-in System Theme section greyed-out (background, accent, & fonts)?
When the Substratum app is installed, this section will become inaccessible in order to prevent conflicts. You CANNOT use them both at once!
Reporting a bug?
See how to do so here:
BEFORE REPORTING A BUG:
1. Flash the SubstratumRescue zip and see if your issue is still there.
2. If you have flashed a custom kernel or ANY OTHER MODs, delete 'data/system/packages_cache' then wipe dalvik/cache, and flash AquariOS again WITHOUT any additional modifications/custom kernel.
3. Check to see if your issue persists.
*Do NOT even bother reporting an issue if you have dirty-flashed AquariOS over some other ROM! We WILL be able to tell!
Logs are crucial to resolving almost any kind of issue. You need to provide a log in order for the issue to be addressed. Please also include info on how to reproduce the reported bug if possible (maybe even take a screen recording for us ).
If you need a log extracting app, try out CatLog!
Either save your log locally and share it, or paste your log into an online code sharing tool like hastebin.com - then share the URL after hitting the SAVE icon.

Nice going to flash tonight.
Good ??
Good job. I would like to thank you for this feature rich rom. I would like to report my thoughts so far.
On the first boot, the interface is laggy (probably due to setup scripts running in background). After a while and on the second boot, the lag goes away. I installed ElementalX kernel after the second boot, when the phone seemed stable enough. Set minimum CPU frequencies, disabled ElementalX gestures, and disabled ZRam through terminal, to avoid CPU waste on ram compression (I am a battery freak!). Greenify with aggressive doze on, google assistant with "ok google" during active screen, with almost all built in AquariOS and stock gestures on. Replaced camera with Camera NX.
The screen on battery drain seems no different than the stock to me, however, since I have installed another kernel it is not safe to assume my experience is exactly as developers planned. This is why I wont submit any log, yet I am happy with the setup, no force closes or reboots so far.
ٌWhat makes this ROM exciting to me is the extra features which I could not get without Xposed. This include network traffic, which tells a lot about the quality of connection, custom quick setting icon placement, physical button shortcut for torch, and night mode with warm color filter. I have all these functionalities through Xposed on my other phone, but Xposed is not stable on 8, which was a concern for me. I really appreciate the effort and time your team has put into this ROM, keep up the good work.
PS. I did not stay on the provided kernel so long, but I probably could achieve the same results through Kernel Auditor, which is what I should have done in the first place! The experience with provided kernel was as smooth as it could be (after the second boot).
Why is it so bad for lag?
What kernel is recommended to fix this?
Otherwise i like this rom thanks for all your work on it.

Reboot the phone after the flash, and the lag goes away
I had to install kernel auditor
Then mess around with the cores settings all is good now
I did have another question about the themeinterfacer I installed substratium but I had the thought I would not need it
I looked in aquarius settings and did not find anything or in display other than the accent colour what am I missing?

I looked in aquarius settings and did not find anything or in display other than the accent colour what am I missing?

What else would there be? You get a light or dark set up with accents, and some transparency control. As stated in the post.
The Legend is back :good:

I wouldn't say it takes longer then any other ROM , but i don't stare at the clock while its booting.
There is an issue preciously noted about lag on first boot, that goes away after a reboot, so that might make it slower ?

He doesn't mess with his 6p much, so I'd quote me, or ask generally about the builds, but no, everything is working less anyone finds something.

I ended up flashing it. It was a little laggy to me. Not sure why. Also had a few features missing that I had gotten used to....but it had some nice additions that I haven't seen elsewhere.....all in all good rom though
Seems like the ROM is doing something terribly wrong. When I setup a PIN on first boot, and confirm it's working by inserting it when unlocking my device, and then try to get into recovery it doesn't work. System says the PIN is incorrect, and also on a normal reboot of the software.

Isn't the issue with pin in recovery because of setting a pin on boot? If that's the case you'd have to do some looking online. I think there's very specific ways you have to make the pin, have to use numbers, can only use a specific number of digits, etc.
I don't use pin on boot , so you'd have to do a search for answers.
If you're saying that you put in a pin, reboot and then the pin won't unlock the device, there's gotta be something wrong with your setup, I've used pin and FP unlock on every build, and I have never had an issue unlocking with pin.

Again, as stated, it is laggy until you reboot one time. After that I have never had lag with normal use.
