3.5mm audio jack hack and some douts - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi guys, after sometime away of customs roms but as many people here i had the problem of headphones icon (problem of 3.5 audio jack). I still on official global dev and will unluck the bootloader. So here are my doubts:
1- if i pretend to stay in official stock rom is there any hack.zip that i can flash?
2- i see many ports of mi max rom and think to try it but for what i see as few languages, is there any based on global or with multilanguages?
3- What are the kernel that support 3.5 hack? I found (radon, agni, and emeriss)

Beat Audio Engine for PIe Rom

Friends , Our Kenzo has already got Pie custom roms some of these are official and some are unofficial . I have seen lots of comment about audio mods available for android pie on xda forum . As Dolby Atmos port is not available so we need to wait some time to get it. Mean while I want to share Beat Audio Engine for Kenzo that works fine on android Pie.
Actually this a Beat Audio Port for Asus Zenfone 5 which runs on kitkat/ Lolipop. Zenfone 5 was my old device so I kept this audio mod on my hard drive . Today I flash it through adb on my redmi note 3 and lucky it is working super fine. So It should also work on your device . Try it till Dolby for Pie comes into existence . ( I am not responsible for anything wrong with your device )
Just download the attachment and extract it . Then connect your device to pc with usb debugging . Just run the installer inside the extracted folder. It will ask for root access. Grant the root access and wait for the process to finish . It will reboot the device automatically. done : BEAT Audio on your kenzo.

Just turn on apt-x in developer options for bluetooth headphones and you will never ever think about any audio mods... (and using any jack headphones after having an apt-x capable bluetooth one)
trust me, I was a dolby fan and tried all of them
Hello , I tried installing this , any way how to uninstall this mod?
haha why is that?

Rom suggestion

I flashed a bunch of AOSP/LOS roms (they are similar anyway)
I wanna get back on MIUI, i am looking for a rom based on NOUGAT MIUI
My top priorities are
1. Video over LTE
2. Bluetooth Audio call working
3. Should be stable

[mido] bug (maybe) in custom rom

I'm experiencing a (maybe) bug in custom rom non miui Nougat.
I want to record video with external mic input.
Setup :
- small usb soundcard connected via otg
- a 3.5 aux input from mixer connected to soundcard
- use opencamera as recorder and set "external mic" in default audio source
- set video format as default, reso is 720p
In miui N (and custom rom based on that), the result of recorded video : audio and image is sync.
But
In Custom rom aosp (N,O,P) and SGSI (O,P), the result of recorded video : audio and image not sync, the video is delayed about 500ms...
So, the question is...
Why? And what file/setup/others that affect that. And maybe the solution so I can record perfectly in custom rom.
Why sticking to MIUI though? You might wanna try something else which might give you a better performance. Try using the kernel which are used in MIUI.

Because in miui N (and custom rom based on that), I get synced video result

Kernel MIUI N (and the custom rom based on that) is different with kernel in AOSP based (SGSI-based rom use AOSP kernel too, not MIUI kernel).
Also I use different kernel on aosp-based and sgsi rom, but the result is same (the image is delayed than the audio)

Have an old unused v30. Want to use it as a spare one so looking to install a custom rom. Which one can I get?

I used to install custom roms on my devices quite a while back ( cyanogenmod on xperia sp )
I am looking at custom roms after many years
Want to know how's the situation different now since then?
For instance using custom rom meant taking a hit in camera image quality
And please suggest which custom rom can I install
Want few things like dark mode, swipe navigation ( should be there in latest android I guess )
and call recording
Test them out. Camera quality seems fine to me if you use one of the GCam builds with proper config file.
What version of the V30 do you own?

Joyuse FM-Radio - no sound?

Hi there!
I have a Xiaomi Note 9 Pro = Joyuse device, with unlocked bootloader.
I've tried those two ROMs:
* Arrow-v12.1-miatoll-OFFICIAL-20220505-GAPPS (=Android 12)
* lineage-18.1-20220506-nightly-miatoll-signed (=Android 11)
Both include an FM-Radio app, with both I can scan and find channels, and get those RDS texts displayed for the stations that send them, but I can't hear any audio. I've also tried the recording feature: The resulting audio files contain only silence.
I also have a Xiaomi Note 9S = Curtana device, on this the FM-Radio works without a problem with all ROMs I've tried that included an app for it.
Does anybody else have a Joyuse device for which the FM Radio is working? Does it work with MIUI / Stock ROM?
Thank you!
Yes,
using same ROM (lineage-18.1-20220506-nightly-miatoll-signed) with base MIUI ROM miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.
FM Radio is working as expected. Can't say for the MIUI ROm since i haven't used it.
oh, so maybe the issue is that the last original xiaomi MIUI ROM that was installed on my Joyuse was too old. I didn't know that was required for this device..?
So I've tried flashing fw_joyeuse_miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.zip from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/joyeuse/
That didn't change the FM-Radio, still no sound, still scanning + RDS Texts working.
@MiATOr Can you confirm the path you went to get the FM Radio working on your Joyeuse device?
You said you used "base MIUI ROM" miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.
Did you flash the fastboot or recovery version of this?
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/joyeuse/stable/V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM/
Not sure if this makes any difference.
