Hello, i opened this tread cause i am in the middle of road, my pace has finally 1 year but she now suffer barometer problem and battery performance is slowly degrade..so which one should i take, amazfit bip, or stratos,
i like battery performance on bip but square shape is so not my taste, so stratos is my priority but how the battery performance on stratos, do stratos user suffer battery drain problem like Amazfit pace?
Alô,my stratos at This moment,have 75% batery whith 28 h off use.
I sink anser your question.
And is a Very nice and beautyfel smartwatch

Stratos has only half of pace battery capacity. Bip is very slow compared to pace, only has backup. Pace seems still the best compromise.

You can remove the barometer and hopefully everything be alright again.

Stratos battery: 290mAh
Pace battery: 280mAh
So how Stratos has only half of Pace battery capacity? Battery life (autonomy) is a little shorter on Stratos, but just a little (say, normal usage on Pace is 4-5 days and Stratos is roughly 4 days).

Normal usage on pace is 9 days for the 2 we have since 18 and 12 months.
As per xiaomi announced, pace is claimed 11 days and Stratos 5 days with same use.
Probably à pace that last 4/5 days is already faulty. In this case, how much do you think the Stratos will last after some months, 2-3 days ? Not enough, I want an increase compared to pace.
Bip is awesome, I use it as spare watch and charge it... Once a month...

so the conclusion is, stratos is battery consume more power than amazfit pace ? do amazfit stratos user suffer battery draining like crazy same as amazfit pace user ?
this is my second amazfit pace after replacement from seller warranty , my previous one suffer massive battery draining after 2 weeks ..but my replacement got serve me for 8 month before it also seems have battery draining..for airplane mode usage I can get around 8 to 9 days, now it reduce to 4 days only..what a bummer

Yes, as I saw on mines that I solde it to keep the pace instead. Screen is different, os etc etc. For the pace, I noticed à drain when paired to an Android 8 device. I verified that Stratos have same kind of issue but this is not about the basic performance . I really have 8/9 days when paired with nougat. You could try à watch reset without restoring user data to see if it works for you.

Sorry, but this is misinformation... I admin a Facebook group with thousands of users, and I myself have two Paces A1612, and there is no way a Pace can last more than 5 days with normal usage, unless normal usage for you is to put it in airplane mode all the time.
That's why Huami advertised 11 days for Pace in the beginning, but then they realized that no one uses a watch in airplane mode all the time, and dropped it to 5 for Stratos, what is still a stretch... Stratos battery is a little bigger, screens are exactly the same (Stratos+/2S has a Sapphire glass, but the screen is still the same). Still, using WOS2, now available for both Pace and Stratos, if use the watch for some sport activities at least once a day and notifications all day it won't last more than 5 days, even less if continuous HR (optional and disabled by default) is on. Normal battery drain with most conservative settings is a little less than 1% per hour, what can be improved only if you put it in airplane mode and do not use it for sports (GPS + HR).
Yes, in airplane mode I have more than 10 days life with my Stratos.

Stop useless talking, I do not use airplane mode, I sync notifications + weather forecast and record activity. Pace can do it for close to 10 days.
BTW huami claims start os battery life is half of pace, this is what I observe. Better buy a stratos and a fresh pace and try yourself paired with a xiaomi phone with an official rom.
'Needless to say the paired phone counts also for à lot that I removed it from my OP5 and repaired with my mi5 for the best.

Yes, we need to stop useless talking.
For Pace amazfit say :
Battery life: 5 days regular use / 11 days basic use
https://us.amazfit.com/shop/pace?variant=25112
And for Startos Amazfit say :
Battery life: 5 days regular use / 11 days basic use
https://us.amazfit.com/shop/stratos?variant=373265
So if someone last 10 days with a Pace then he last 10 days with a Stratos.
If someone last 5 days with a Stratos he last 5 days with a Pace
So no difference in runtime and nothing to talk apart different usage between 2 users and different runtime

Hi all,
Can any one confirm if the Verge Lite has the same always on display like the verge does?
I am torn between the Stratos, Verge and the Verge Lite. Battery life is really important to me but always on display is important too. Is the Stratos really just 3 days battery with normal usage?
Thanks

I choice Verge for many reason. So i advice you to do the same. Have Verge lite always on display feature? Amazfit saying - NO
That's a shame. The verge lite looks great and 20 days battery but no AOD. I like the look of the Stratos, why do you think I should get a verge?
I'll also wait for the GTR release. Seems interesting...
Normal usage (BT always on, no airplane mode, little or no GPS usage, always on display enabled on Verge - I am not sure if lite supports it, but my bet is that 20 days is the life span with it disabled as I cannot get more than 4 days on normal Verge):
- Verge: 3-4 days;
- Pace: 4-5 days;
- Stratos: 5-6 days.

I activated always on display just at night period, when is sleep time (00:00 - 10:00). In the morning i find always from 100% (after charge) to 92 - 95%, when all day in normal usage draining about 1 - 2% if i don't use manually something like: heart rate tracking (is activated continuous heart rate), changing watch faces (try to do that several times, you will see that that draining battery too, maybe for reason that is activated at this moment display/screen, which in my watch is 100% brightness) and ect. Also Verge lite havn't some Verge features and ect. So maybe for this reason you can not charge about 20 days. But if you need just clock, buy normal watch. If you want smart watch i recommend to buy Verge, coz this model have much more features as older models from Amazfit/Huami. But again... in market is releasing Verge 2 or Nexo model, which is look better as/or similar to Verge, have much more feature and is from better material. Yes will cost much more, but what i read about it, this model deserve every euros. Of course some features will not work if you are not from China, but for me enough heart tracking news which will have this model. If you can't spend about 200 euros, i advise you to choose Verge. Startos have just better protection from water, also is from not plastic. All others is similar to Verge or Verge is better: microphone which havn't Stratos (i don't talk about Pace at all, coz this model is worst from these 3 at all), so voice assitant will not be available in older models like Stratos, also Amoled display, battery you can not charge with Amazfit's settings 5 days, with mine settings when is almost all features activated i can not charge about 3 - 4 days, Stratos can be the same time as i know aith Amazfit's settings, so with the same settings i think will be the same. Stratos and Verge at all is similar models by specifications, just Verge have much more.

Do you have all models? By specifications which presented by Amazfit, Stratos and Verge can be not charged the same time with Amazfit's settings. Different is in protection of water, display, microphone and ect. Battries are the same as i saw
See in this web site: https://en.amazfit.com/stratos.html, also i added screenshot from this web site. By Amazfit with Pace is the same.
Thank you for all the feedback and information, you've all been very helpful. I am going to wait and see what the announcement is next week. I think I'm getting too lost in the features and need to think about what I really want in my smart watch. FYI, I'm coming from a Pebble Time, so I'm used to having quite a bit of functionality but I really look forward to the HR monitor! I'm used to charging my watch once a week, so I'm hoping that I can keep that schedule but I guess I should not be too worried about it.
Since you're coming from Pebble Time, you need be aware that always-on display for the Verge is NOT the same as always-on display for the Stratos. The Stratos is using similar display technology as the Pebble Time, when the backlight is off, the display remains the same. Verge switches to a low power mode which displays minimal information.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OgCK1X2vyXM
But this is not better? I mean Verge always on display. I using it at night time, when i don't need other information like: steps, calories, heart rate, weather and ect. I saw there are a lot of APK files watch faces for Verge, which working like Stratos always on display, where is showing all information which showing without always on display mode. But always on display my opinion is very good when you want to see just important information like time. Of course i think date, notifications information will be great too, but all other information like: steps, calories and ect. i don't think it's need to show in always on display. I don't see different in Stratos with always on display and without always on display mode, just a little bit dimmed display, but big different there is no. SO why need at all always on display if is showing the same in display?
Yesterday I almost bought a GTR (my Stratos has been damaged) but researching I found out in time that again Xiaomi released another watch worse than Stratos just like did with Verge.
Verge, beside some extra features (calls and audio) looks like a toy (plus too ugly).
GTR, beside being extremely prettier with a too much better screen, hasn't always on display, no internal storage, no VO².
So, for all these, I'll buy another Stratos even being an old device, considering that Stratos 2 doesn't have any data for its announcements!

1. A recent firnware update to the Chinese GTR brought AOD (a watch with a blank display is simply useless, I hope they realized it).
Of course battery won't last 25 days with AOD tho...
2. I would not but anything until the end of the next month, new models should be released, including a better sports watch (same line as Pace / Stratos).

Do you already have any experience how long the battery lasts with AOD turned on?
I love my AMAZFIT Stratos. Uses it daily for one year now. During my last holidays i took it for a swim to openwater (sea) - as it is marketed as water resistent.
Some days after that the swimming the Stratos seems to turn of randomly. When it is the battery is draining in the instant. I can literally see the battery go down in 1% steps.
I read that the AMZAFIT Pace can be damaged by seawater as it is only IP67. Is the same thing true for the Stratos? Any way to diagnose my Stratos further or is it simply broken?

Battery drain
Hi, I have exact same problem, which started 2 weeks ago. Eventually I left it charging for longer time and it seemed to be solved. But problem is now back.
Hope someone in this forum can help us. Tks.

Hi guys. To the ones Who have the stratos 3,cab you tell how is the battery behaviour with external Bluetooth chest strap paired?
In stratos 2,it is awful
Unfortunately I have not managed to get it working with the polar H7 strap (I had read that the H7 worked fine with the Stratos 2). I tried to connect from the workouts setting in the accessories, it paired but but it doesn't connect...
Regarding battery life in general I had mine for 5 days and it is almost empty (it had 85% when arrived) Didn't use it very much and I turned GPS on max 45min. So it feels not much better than Stratos 2, let's hope it will improve with future updates

I have stratos 2 and I'm thinking about buying the stratos 3. However, my major doubt is the weak improvement in battery performance.
I had a Pace which died after I forgot it on at the Swimming pool. The Stratos 3 is much better in many ways. But if your Stratos 2 still works fine I honestly don't really see much upgrade

that's what I´m afraid of... The little increased battery capacity (290mAh to 300mAh) and my doubts about the consumption management when paired to an external bluetooth chest strap make me see it like a bad upgrade.
Maybe a "Stratos 4" will answer my expectations
I tried again and this time it connected to the Polar H7 strap. I only made a fast test (going for a 5min walk) but it seems that the battery consumption increases a lot with Bluetooth accesories. It went 8-9% down in 5 min.
I will update you when I do a proper workout but it seems that didn't change much from 2 to 3

thank you. In fact, that is a lot...
Here an update on this. I have been using it more regularly and the battery consumption has become very good. I get about 7 days of regular usage (including a couple of workouts using gps and external hrm). If I don't do any sports the battery life goes to 10+ days

new product came out, and that is Amazfit GTS 2. Anyone already have the watch? Can 1 week battery life still be achieved if all features are turned on?

This guy is a long term supporter of GTS and GTS2. He praised a lot for the old GTS and its amazing battery
But in his review of GTS2, after using for 10 ten days, he said the battery is really PATHETIC, only last like 2 days.

Thank you anyway
I found two more review on battery test for you.
https://www.igeekphone.com/amazfit-gtr-2-in-depth-review-2/
In terms of battery life, according to the official statement, Huami Amazfit GTS 2 has a battery life of up to 7 days in daily use mode. I turned on the active heart rate detection + sleep assisted detection mode, turned on the sleep breathing quality test, and used the watch according to my own habits. The power consumption was 29% for 28 hours and 12 minutes, and the battery life was about four days. If you follow the official daily use mode instructions, the battery life will be further extended, and 7 days does not seem to be a problem.
https://www.androidcentral.com/amazfit-gts-2-and-gtr-2-review
What's honestly most impressive of all is that the developer's battery estimates for these smartwatches don't appear to be overblown, a rare thing for smartwatches or tech in general. After a week of use, including using the always-on feature sporadically, tracking my sleep cycles, and going for several workouts with GPS activated, the battery only recently dropped below 50%. Keep in mind that it would drain faster if I had continuous heart rate / SPO2 tracking enabled, but for most users, the GTR 2 could easily last you up to two weeks per charge. For comparison, the GTS 2 has a 7-day battery estimate.
Hope it helps, bro.
Personally, i'm using GTS and see no reason for the upgrade to GTS2. If you haven't bought GTS before, then maybe it's worth it.

Ya ta solucionado.
I have the gts2. I've had it about a week. Battery with usual use is about 4 days. I have wrist flip detection on high and get about 3 days. Overall I really like the watch. Waiting for Alexa update to come in the future.
I have the GTS 2 since the day it launched in India. Love everything about the watch except battery life.
Battery drain is too much. Hardly getting 2 days. I find it absurd to first purchase smartwatch for its features and then keeping most of them off to get battery life.
It is possible to turn WiFi off and bluetooth on?
Hello, I have it and only two days of battery life. I have a week with him and the clock is not bad at all. Taking advantage of the thread, you know how I can activate the extra functions of the watch.
I bought a few days ago GTR 2, and all is almost perfect except for the battery... firstly from 48% to 10% within 24h, . After fully charged, 3 days and 50% has gonewith one, 1h training per day without GPS.
I like multitasking, wifi (fast watch faces synchro), but AOD drains battery a lot I decided to disable AOD, sleep tracking, switched heart rate to 10min. interval and after 24h battery decreased from 56% to 44%, while I know that people with GTR 1 have 1% per day with almost the same settings...
so I'm really disappointed with such battery life...
Do you have any advices?
@Redmundek, my girlfriend has the same problem. I bought GTS2 for her and GTR2 for me and with the same settings I get ±10 days of battery life and she gets ±3! Did you find any solution?
Have you checked the settings for detection method? Try different option and see:
- automatic heart detection - for me it is Ok
- Sleep assistant - may be the root of possible more draining
- Automatic heart detection & sleep assistant - potentialy draining battery a lot (as far as I remember)
Then other options below: activity detection, heart rate alert, all-day stress monitoring, sleep breathing quality.. I have ticked most of them after different tests. No issue with battery draining (I guess)
I'm using a GTR2 but I remember having seen a big change in the battery draining here when I tested different settings.
Good luck.
Hi, I amended sleep monitoring and stress detection and the battery is quite good, even with AOD from 7:00 till 22:00 (which I prefer) it can works c.a. 5-6 days
