Hello everyone,
Before I buy this Smartphone, I would like to know one thing. I have a private sim and a professional sim.
In my car, in bluetooth, I can naturally call one other another people, like private or pro.
Is possible to say :
People A -> call only with sim 1
People B -> call only with sim 2 ?
My goal is to not touch my phone anymore.
Thanks.
Subsidiary question, root possible ? Rom community seems to be very poor. Good idea to buy a Mate 10 Pro after a galaxy S7 ?

I don't think you can assign contacts to SIMs, but when you call someone you have an option to chose SIM 1 or SIM2. If you don't click one, it will ring on the last SIM you've used for that contact.
Thanks!

I have two phones (one work, one persoanl), two networks, and probably two sterile testicles from having them both in my pockets.
I have to get rid of my razr and just use my TYTN for both.
I've seen products like in the links below but they look sketchy and was hoping someone can shed some light on this for me... here are the links:

In the perfect world i would get my internet services from one of the numbers (work pays), have both numbers ring and receive text messages and be able to choose which number is displayed. Am i smoking too much? is this possible? Thanks in advance for any help.
I tried asking for the same thing a few months back.
Let just say that I can't seem to find any solution and this does not seem possible at all right now.
What you can best hope to achieve is that you can have 2 sims in the phone and soft switch them as far as my understanding goes.
I was really hoping for one of those DUAL SIM DUAL PHONE China Brand X phone which truly functions as a phone with 2 sims.
hi, im using dual sim holder plus today sim switcher application. it allows to have two sims in your tytn and switch them from today screen. only one sim can be active at a time but by setting your redarections up you will never miss a call seriously very usefull thing just lost 4 sims triming my sims
I have seen a few dual sim card adaptors that sellers are claiming work with the Mini Pro. Has anybody tried them or have any thoughts/advice regarding them?
I don't expect they will be dual standby (both working simultaneously) but I am still interested to do this rather than carrying 2 phones around.

If it worked it would be great. Does anyone know if it works? Maybe booth could work together with some app... I don't know, when it comes to Cellphones I'm a total Noob..
Waiting answers..
I have a double sim (one sim with 2 number) from vodafone, wich is basicaly the same as a dual sim adapter.
It works as it should.. the only bugger is that every time you change the active sim, it forces you to re.login to your google account.

How do you change between the two numbers? Did it cost you extra to get this from Vodafone?
The double sim is a product from vodafone.. About 15euro once for it. You give them your numbers and in 1- 2 days you get the new card.
To change betwen numbers you have several options. Either the sim menu and select the numer you want.. Boot the phone and and use he pin you want.(each number has a pin) or dial 0 or 00 to reboot the sim. The phone asks for the pin

Anyone using these adaptors? I need to order one for my phone.
I have a Vodafone and an O2 sim using an Xperia Mini Pro and want to have both in it at the same time.
Just want to know if it will work on an Xperia Mini Pro which might not be the same as the X10 Mini Pro for compatibility or whatever. Never done this before.
Check out www.magic-sim.com I got one for my Samsung galaxy s2 from them and it's a great little device. There's a compatibility checking function on the website so you could check the mini pro there.
I used it, 3 years ago... You only require a phone with a "sim menu", (the one with your carrier options... And a case big enough to be able to close it with this sim that is a little bit thicker.
The one I tested made disappear your carrier "sim menu", and replaced it with a custom menu that allowed to change the sim... Even allowed to schedule the changes...
The bad thing is the time it takes to obtain signal after making the change ( the same time it takes when you turn on the phone), and that you have to cut your SIMs to be able to insert them...
Now I sow one that did'n require to cut the Sim, but I think that's too big for lots of phones.
The one I have from magic-sim fits really well. Sim switching takes about 4 seconds. It sounds like the technology has improved a lot since you used it.
how it connects, in layers?
so, this adaptor don't make the phone work with the two sim at the same time?

I've seen 3 presentations...
One next to the other, In layers, And in standard sim size, (croping your two sim cards and inserting them inside the other)...
Depending on your device It can or not fit the phone case.

No. For that purchase a chinese or a black berry with 2 3 or 4 sims.
Is there any android with such a feature? It would make grate "spy phones"
wondering what difference is running the watch via Bluetooth and running it sim card , aside of course the fact that you don't need to have your phone within proximity.
also wondering how this would work with a sim card when you leave your phone at home , does the sim have the same phone number as your current cell number ? kinda weird almost like a cloned sim card no ?

I was kinda wondering about how that works myself. I wouldn't want another line or number for my watch, but an extension of my phone. One number, 2 devices, is that possible?

I'd like to know this also. I'd imagine it'll belike the PS Vita. Use a simcard for 3G Data only.

It depends on your carrier if it allows, 1 number on2 devices is quite possible.

Id also like to know how this works too. I would love it to use the same number as my phone. :victory:
It is called Multi-SIM.
You get 1 MSISDN (tel no) but multiple IMSI (the registration number on the SIM card). Some internal routing makes it possible to receive calls and SMS on 1 SIM, but you can make calls and SMS on all SIMs.
At least that's how it works here in Malaysia.
The telco Maxis allows up to 6 IMSIs per MSISDN, 1 primary and 5 subs.

Although in Malaysia they may have multi sim carriers I work for bell mobility and I'm pretty confident in saying that in Canada and the usa none are multi sim carriers.
Here is how I think it will work, you get a new number on a standalone $10 plan or either on a $10 share plan with your phone line. Once the watch is disconnected from Bluetooth on the phone the phone will forward calls to the number on the watch.
Just a theory though won't know much until we get it

will it also forward emails and messeges?
I would think you would just set the email up on the gear s and the texts would be forwarded the same way calls are

Thx. Im hoping exchange Emails work.
I am wondering as well as I have Sprint with UCCI cards and not SIM card so how does this work when it's tied to a SIM card. Basically they would treat the gear S as a Tablet only plan. so instead of the 10$ for the tablet plan it's the gear S. And what happens when you go over your data minutes I'm unlimited on my Note 4 but it say's the gear S will come with 500mb a month I'm confused
Hey guys
Before hitting buy on one of these, can someone please explain to me how dual sim works? Preferably with some screenshots. This is going to be my first dual-sim phone
I understand dual sim dual standby, in that both sims can use 3G/4G but only one at a time. Do you decide which SIM is the main active one for data in software?
Thanks
Ive got the prime
I can choose Internet from sim 1 and call from sim 2

What's up everyone.
Quick question to see if anyone has tried.... If I put a T-Mobile SIM in the OPX and a Verizon SIM as a secondary, I'm wondering what will happen?
I have a work phone and a personal and am tired of carrying both. I need the Verizon SIM to get ONLY phone calls and text messages. I don't care about data. That's what the T-Mobile SIM is for. Also, how would the OPX handle phone calls? Will is ask me each time I make a call which phone number to use?
Will this work? Anyhone tried it? I've got a OPX on order via eBay and should be here next week. If no one knows, I'll have to post back.

I dont think the OPX supports CDMA networks... Only GSM and even that is not fully supported.
Well, I received the One plus X on Monday and have had a few days to play around. I am truly impressed. The build quality is fantastic and it the PERFECT size for me. Slightly larger than the iPhone 6 but a 5" screen. With respect to signal and T-Mobile Bands.... I haven't run into any problems here in Southern California. LTE everywhere.
Unfortunately, my simple experiment of getting verizon voice and text setup as a second SIM did not work. It does detect the phone number but no service. Oh well.
