Asus Zenfone 5q
My phone already jumped 048 firmware seems bokeh rear camera is broken
-difficult to autofocus in bokeh mode
-taking bokeh to non facial seems broken... so only bokeh with faces is working
-bokeh mode is written potraid instead of depth effect
-bokeh mode can be chosen in wide angle mode however it is non functional
me and my friend is having same issue, is it my friend only or it is buggy firmware?
seems I cant downgrade without rooting?
rename update files in non working

This is a firmware or hardware issue. They have released updates with bug fixes, but I am still experiencing the issue as well.

I am running Snow Jelly Bean 1.1 Rom
I was hoping that when I installed this new rom that the front cam would improve. Here is my issue. When I use the front cam in video mode, indoors it is very dark, even with the brightness all the way up. I know the camera is capable of dealing with indoor light because the front camera in camera mode has a "night scene" mode that works fine, but it is not available in video mode. Does anyone have any idea how to increase the light sensitivity in front video mode? The auto white balance mode does nothing (sucks). Need a night/indoor mode or a way to manually do it. Thanks.
I have purchased the phone in the first flash sale and received a software update just after the first boot. But while taking pictures of human subjects in portrait mode through the rear camera, the images are getting auto beautified. Can anyone suggest on how to fix this?
Probably turn off AI mode? Or under menu you have an option that says 'Beautify'. Try turning If off.

I don't have the greenish tint in front cam when I freshly install the gcam. But right after if I force close it and again open , green tint starts coming.
So try installing it again and don't force close it.
facing the same problem. green tinted from the front camera.

Rear Portrait Mode Not Working
didn't see lens blur from the final V1c
My portrait mode was working fine in the latest build(6.1.021) flawlessly and it used to take multiple burst shots(one normal and other with lens blur). Since yesterday it keeps on taking only the sharper photo and not the blurred one even though it's in portrait mode. What could be the problem and how do I fix it? Please help.
Hi,
I never used a smartphone with two or three camera before and my choice for a new smartphone was the P30 lite 48MP version.
I have some question about the camera.
First, I hate the portrait mode effect on the front camera. The seperation between the face and the background is not pleasant to my eyes. How do you actually disable this mode. Should I shoot in photo and also disable AI? The AI is also doing the same effect as the portrait mode. With other apps, there is no bokeh or blur effect.
Secondly, How does the first (Back) camera sensor works? I mean, I tried to put my finger in front of the camera and take several picture in different mode. Everytime, I get a picture without my finger. If you are shooting in normal condition, shouldn't it be using the main camera?
Thanks

Someone from Huawei Service replied to my question today and I quote
"Hi! Thank you for supporting Huawei Products, we understand your situation right now. We highly recommend for you to switch to photo mode and turn off the AI mode as you take your selfies to have no bokeh or blur effect on the background. On your second question, Please be informed that the first camera sensor is the 2MP Bokeh Lens. It is used to have an effect of a soft out-of-focus background that you get when shooting a subject. These are functioning as you use portrait mode and as you use the Pro Mode and adjust the manual focus for your subjects. Thank you and have a great day."
