Hi;
I am currently using Redmi note 4 running on dot os 2.4 and kernel as francokernal. I need to root the rom. I tried magisk and ended it on a bootloop issue.
So is there any way to root??
Anyone please help me??
Try the latest Magisk 16.7 with a treble-compatible recovery.

No clue about that. I'm on unofficial LineageOS 15.1 with Magisk 16.7. Seems to work fine without issues. It should work on dotOS then. But be sure you're on a treble compatible recovery.

Use older magisk
Hello, I'm using DotOS 2.4 with Magisk working fine, Just install the official Magisk beta 16.7 thats 100% mido compatible now and you will be fine, but for what i read in the DotOS thread better install it AFTER booting DotOS for the first time.

How do I run this application "IRCTC Rail Connect Link" on custom ROM Android 7.XX for Kenzo (Redmi Note 3), as it checks for ROOT and all the Custom Roms are rooted by default.

You can try magisk.

Install xposed. Then use rootcloak module. Hide root from IRCTC. Force stop and restart the IRCTC app. It's working for me.

Currently using the same ROM, the app is able to detect root.
Weekly 31.01 is not rooted by default
Some apps don't work even when just bootloader is unlocked. If you are using bank apps/payments/booking apps don't use custom ROMs altogether. You can't pass them.
Works perfectly with magisk hide. Test it out mate. Using it on the latest los with magisk 10.2

there's one option to disable root access.
Try This

As per my observation, if the ROM comes prerooted, hiding root doesn't work. Lineage doesn't come with root access, that is the only ROM I managed to hide root.

Nope.
There's a way it works with Nitrogen OS.
I still am looking into it, if it could work for RR too..

Is it working? I installed a nougat custom ROM on my phone (redmi 2). Installed dnscrypt through recovery, using zip file from dnscrypt.com v.1.9.4. I basically do what I did when installing dnscrypt on my MIUI ROM and worked. But now it seems doesn't work with this ROM. Is this Nougat issue or just me?
Edit: nvm I got it solved.
Hello. How you solved it?

thanks bro, it worked
1. Download a Poco rom that you want
2. Open the zip on your PC or mobile
3. Navigate to "META-INF/com/google/android"
4. Open the update-script with a text editor
5. Then remove every line at the beginig that starts with "assert" (they are almost always the first three lines)
6. Save it
7. Flash the ROM and a custom kernel for our device and enjoy it
(optional)
8. Flash this Magisk module to set the right build props for our device

No I don't think this will work.
Mi8 and Poco has almost the same hardware. That's why it works. Oxygen is for OnePlus and it's not similar as Poco.

Has anyone got the OxygenOS Poco Port to work on their Mi 8? I'm currently trying but it's not booting up.
This is what I've done:
-changed the OxygenOS update-script
-wiped data,cache,dalvik + system
-did factory reset
-flashed the rom (prepped OxygenOS)
-flashed Mi8 kernel
-flashed DFE
-flashed the vendor.img you need for OxygenOS
I see the Oxygen boot animation but after 5 mins of trying to boot my Mi 8 resets into recovery
Would really love an OxygenOS port for the Mi 8 so hmu if u got this to work

You have to use the latest beta (0.4.6.0). You have to download it from github and not from Magisk Manager.

I've found beta versions of Sandhook and Yahfa and both working...but the Customiuizer doesn't...

I am sorry but i can't help you with that because customiuizer (and other mofules)also didn't work for me and now I am on the Pixel Experience Rom without Xposed. You could try switching to a rom like xiaomi.eu but you will probably lose your data.

On Android Q, you should use Yahfa. With Sandhook, you will have some fc on miuimizer.
Go on and flash custom magisk. You shouldn't, but you CAN .
Make a backup of boot partition into twrp, if you go into bootlop just restore it or reflash the rom.

Nice!
Trying to get Edxposed on PixelUI but it won't go paste the google boot screen no mater which version I try YAHFA/Sandhook.
I'm using the Riru module on Magisk (v20.3) and EdXposed from Magisk, anything I should try to get it to work?
CustoMIUIser is the greatest module ever, honestly. Love being able to have my charge current on my lockscreen etc
