Ever since the lollipop update, my phone has been getting this Capacity for NFC services full: Not enough capacity to enable to service. Try disabling one or more services. I do not have NFC on, and when i do turn it on the same thing happens. It gives the option to cancel or change service. When i click on change service it goes to setting and says, Unfortunately, Settings has stopped. How do i stop this error?

Hi there.
Unfortunately I don't have a solution but just wanted to let you know that I have exactly the same problem. My Sony Xperia Z2 updated to Lollipop last friday and since then I get this annoying "capaciteit voor NFC-services is vol" message (it's in Dutch ) When I click on 'change settings' a new window is opened where it is not possible to change any setting. Switched NFC on and off but doesn't seem to do anything. The message keeps popping up irregularly...
Very annoying issue. Hope someone finds a solution.
Exaclty the same issue here

Try Factory Reset
There must be a better way than just a factory reset, and not sure if that would actually solve the issue.
Just chiming in that I updated to Lollipop on my Z3 last night and am encountering the same issue.

Just got this problem myself this morning on my Z2 running Lollipop. Did you manage to find a fix?
I can't seem to find anything other than this post concerning this issue.
Thanks.
Same Problem
I did a factory restore and I am still getting the same issue.
Same here
I'm experiencing the same thing. Upgraded to Lollipop last month, but this only started a couple days ago. Not after installing a new app. Got low on disk space, which triggered a back up alert. Cleaned out my pics, but then started getting this error.

I think I figured it out. Suggested a bunch of apps that had bee recently updated on reddit, and the common denominator was the Scotiabank app, updated a few days ago.
Uninstalled, no NFC errors. I have written the dev, and hope for a response soon. That seems to be the cause, so check it out and post if it works for you.
Solution: Clear Google Play Services and NFC Service Data in Safe Mode
Don't know if this is a solution but it worked for me.
1) Boot into Safe Mode.
2) With NFC off, clear all data from NFC Service and Google Play service via Settings>Apps>All.
2.a) Clear data from any Mobile Payment/Banking App and any NFC enabled app.
2.b) Under the running apps, select via the top right dots to view cached apps.
2.c) Delete (Stop) them all. It can be tedious as some won't stop before others but persist and it can be done.
3) Restart phone and error is gone.
thanx, worked for me as well. remainings of android pay caused the problem on my mobile.
Hi Guy !
Same problem here.
Unfortunately no Scotia Bank, noting...
And when i get this message, it says that is current capacity used is.... 0%!!!
I begin to hate this phone :s
Thanks if you have any tip.

I've got a Z3 compact that I recently downgraded from LP to KK (no root). Upon booting into KK for the first time, a toast notification appeared stating that the NFC firmware was being updated. After that, the google play services updated and then this stupid "Capacity for NFC Services Full" message kept popping up. It only seems to pop up randomly and only goes away when I disable NFC, but I can't seem to get rid of it using any of the methods mentioned in this thread. Has anyone else ran into this? I've completely wiped my phone twice and continue to have the same issue.
All google searches result in useless forum threads about the Scotia Bank app causing this issue. I don't have that app, so it's gotta be something else.

It's caused by latest versions of google play services app. Older versions doesn't have this bug. Uninstall google play services update and "Capacity for NFC Services Full" message is gone forever. But I know It isn't a solution Only google can fix it...

Yeah, I figured Google Play Services was the issue, but if I uninstall and roll back to the original version the phone ships with, it isn't compatible with Google apps (music, youtube, etc). I was just hoping there was a better fix. For now, I've simply disabled NFC and turn it on before I use Android Pay. The extra clicks aren't really a big deal since I don't have a fingerprint scanner and need to touch the screen to unlock anyway. Plus, I don't use AP often enough to bother me. Thanks for the confirmation though!
Edit - after further thought, if Google Play Services is the cause, then why aren't more people affected by this and why wasn't my device affected all along. I only recently rolled back to KK and this issue started. The Google Play Services version is still the same, right?
As an Android developer who is working on NFC payment in a mobile wallet, I can tell that our team identified the source of the problem to reside in Sony's Android modifications. No other platform produces these errors. I can't yet link the forum thread, but google for "sony xperia off host apdu service capacity full", the result from talk.sonymobile.com will show further details.
So you can probably stop looking for the cause in Google products, or 3rd party wallet/banking apps. They (we) also suffer from this issue.
Sony isn't responding in the referenced thread, so this may not be fixed soon.
Sorry to tell bad news.
my phone has this issue today, it began right AFTER i did a factory reset... just wanted to clear it off and start again... now this??

The scary thing is this post was made 30-JAN-2016 and it's still being experienced.
Bought a Chinese Refurb Xperia Z3 Compact.
Android 4.4.4
Build 23.0.A.2.98
I'd only installed FTP Server Pro (to test 802.11ac bandwidth) by The Olive tree on an otherwise stock Z3C and after enabling NFC, the "NFC full" error message started popping up.
I followed the instructions above and managed to clear the cache/data on everything except one Twitter service which I couldn't stop.
After a reboot from safe mode, the phone is not showing the NFC error message.
I have enabled NFC and used it with a couple of NFC Bluetooth speakers and NFC tags around the house and it's working without errors.
Fingers cross, I won't see this message again.
Thnx
My Z3 Compact was running Android 5.0.2 since 2.5 years and I never encountered this pop-up. I never used NFC.
I changed to another mobile operator, and as soon as I replaced the SIM in my phone, I started getting this pop-up, saying that the space is 174% used.
I suspect the SIM being pre-configured for Orange Cash, although the application is not installed on my phone.
I tried the various workarounds mentioned in this thread and on Sony's forum, but none worked.
This phone is rooted, and I often get this pop-up when some "sudo" tasks are launched (kill process, freeze application, ...).
I have run out of ideas...
For those who still strugle with this shi* and clearing cache is not working:
1. Download and install any payment app, doesn't matter, won't use. I have Tap & go
2. Enable NFC
3. Go to Touch & pay in device section
4. Change from google play to installed app.
You can now disable NFC, no popup should occure
Hi All,
Is anyone else having issues while trying to authenticate apps (or open apps) using fingerprint on the device? (Say Google Pay, I cannot log in to the app with fingerprint, phone asks for Pattern/Password).
If this is not an issue, please let me know how to enable it. I checked in settings, looks good.
Please note that I am able to unlock the device using FP
Help is appreciated!

I don't think there any option to enable it. It's system wide support that's missing from xiaomi on POCO. it was there on Mi A2 (obviously, being Android one).SO i think we need to bring this one to POCO Team's attention. Send Bug report for same & Tag them on twitter if you are there.

Yup, I dont think it works on miui. I am not able to authenticate any of my banking apps via fingerprint.
I guess its depends upon the app developer. There is no fingerprint authentication for Google Pay/ Tez but I can enjoy this feature with ICICI banking app.

I checked. I can use it on my bank accounts, app lock, and third party app loks as well.
The thing with Tez it that it relies on Android's native screenlo k or Google Pin, now the app is probably not able to leverage the screen lock fully (the Fingerprint), which should be brought to Xiaomi's notice. I'll be writing this on the Xiaomi Forum now.

I can't get it to work with the same app. It just says fingerprint authentication failed multiple times before I even place my finger and then it forces me back to using my pin.
Not sure with Google Pay/Tez since we don't have that in my country, but my banking apps work fine with fingerprint. Even PayPal works. I suggest updating the FIDO and IFAA certificates. If it doesn't then best bet is to truly contact Xiaomi or post in forums (though contacting them directly may be best to get any answers straight from the horses mouth)
It worked fine for me but since the last update (10.1.3) it has become unreliable - 50/50 chance of it working. Unlock device works 100% of the time. Tried recreating all the fingerprints and same issue.
I've the same problem.
All apps i decided to secure with fingerprint, can't be unlocked with fingerprint.
Only the option of PIN is available, but don't work either.
It's the same problem as drawkcaB has told...
Did everyone solve the problem?

Thanks for your quick reply!
The problem is that it mostly affects the pre-installed apps from xiaomi.
Unfortunately, you can not uninstall these.
Presumably a reset to factory settings will be unavoidable?

For me it was only 3rd party apps, bus you can try wiping the app data/cache individually to see if it works?

Fingerprint icon is not showing on lockscreen
I have seen fingerprint icon on lockscreen of stock android and OxygenOS. Also in Gpay if enable unlock using lockscreen fingerprint icon is showing on Gpay authentication window of both the phone. Since fingerprint icon is missing in lockscreen of poco make it depreciated to gpay authentication using fingerprint.
Yes, I am also facing same problem. Could you resolve it?
After the recent update to the Barclays app it doesn't seem to stay open in the background so you can't use contactless unless you log into the app everytime. Am I missing a setting in the phone somewhere?

If you go into settings/battery/app launch you can remove that app from battery optimization and allow it to stay open in the background. That might work--I'm not familiar with the Barclays app.
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately that's how I got it to work originally before they updated the app. That doesn't seem to work now though.
I have the same problem and the latest app version. However jhs39 is correct for the fix. Go into settings>Battery>App Launch select the Barclays App so that it is "Managed Manually", you can leave all three options enabled. You will then need to login to the app once more. You should then be working. I think the issue is that the app want's to have an active process running but the battery manger sweeps it up as it is not recognised and using power!
The really bad thing about this app is that if you reboot your device (or it loses power - battery drain) you will have to remember to re-login each time..... Google Pay and Amex Pay do not have this problem - poor app.

You have to jump through enough security hoops to get the card into the NFC chip but I'm all up for security. My point is that this is a poor app because it relies on an unprotected process and when it does fail it comes up with ERROR CM057 which is not really helpful. Furthermore no-one in Barclays can tell you what it means. A better response would be "Please login to complete the transaction" or your "Login Details have expired". So yes this is a poorly written app that Google and Amex do not suffer from.
After discussing the issue with them on Google Play and being asked to be some sort of QA Tester for their broken app that they use in lieu of better contactless options I just gave up and transferred my account to another bank. I can now use Google Pay, problem solved.
How does contactless payments work through the phone? On my iPhone, I would double press the home button to get my list of cards up. I have a Barclays and Tesco card - both of which, do not support Google Pay. 'Doh!!
Do you remember which settings you tweaked to get it to work?
I tried the battery management settings and it is unchecked so it is managed manually with all 3 other options that pop up left switched on but I'm still having the same problem, ever since I had my P20 Pro in fact. When I got my 2nd Mate 20 Pro (1st was replaced for the gluegate issue), it worked once and one other time when I tried switching NFC off and back on but apart from that it hasn't worked since.
I wish Barclays would just ditch this "feature" and allow Google Pay to add Barclay's cards. It's so frustrating standing at the check out trying to get it to work, opening the app, logging in so your balance is there for everyone to see, exiting the app etc. etc. and then it still doesn't work for me and I have to end up going through my wallet to find my card anyway. It won't even work for me on the pay screen with the 30 second countdown!
I have several apps that can authenticate with fingerprint. But what I'm having happen is that when I launch the app, the fingerprint screen pops up and immediately it goes away and to the app screen. Depending on the app it either just requires a password or has a message if "You have used all password attempts".
Anyone else seeing this, and have a solution?
The problem is likely in the apps.
I use 3 bank apps that require fingerprint authentication for confirming every operation and they are working flawlessly.

I have one app which sometimes does not prompt the emui black overlay screen for fingerprint.
Going to 'recent apps' and choosing said app again, show finally the fingerprint screen overlay.
I choosed to disable fingerprints checks for this app.
They all work great on my Note 9. Do, I don't think it's specifically the apps unless it's a compatibility issue between then and Huawei phone.
Probably some apps need to be updated for Android 9 and likely for managing an on-screen fingerprint scanner, which is more difficult to deal with than a physical one due to the overlay operation, particularly if an app doesn't strictly implement the Google Android fingerprint specific API.

I got to thinking about that, and I bet you are right.
I'm surprised I let myself purchase this phone with the in-screen FP reader. I never liked the idea. It's so convenient on the back...holding the phone, the finger lands there. I never understood what the big deal was about having it on the screen.
Add this to that equation...makes it frustrating.
Thanks for the input. I was wondering if anyone else was having the problem...interestingly not seeing that in the replies.
Hang on. I own Mate 20 Pro since November and I have never had this problem until more or less a week ago. I am using many apps where I authenticate with a fingerprint and they have been all working absolutelty fine. It just got broken a week or two ago. I don't believe it is app related since many apps suddenly got affected. It looks like a firmware bug to me, possibly after the latest update?
Yeah it after first emui 9.1 update.
Only Google Play/ pay is acting up like that.
Sure there is an update coming with July patch
Also fixes sudden shutdown.
I have some Apps where the fingerprint button is not visible after the update, but the function is still working. You just have to know the position.
Something very very strange is happening to me with the widevine certification. When I bought the tablet it had widevine L1 but I couldn't watch netflix in HD so I followed the tutorial on the another thread for get HD in Netflix. It was working correctly for a few days (actually the HDR was not working correctly, but that's another case) but suddenly while watching netflix the image froze and gave an error. Investigating I realized that the device had dropped from L1 to L3 while using netflix. After restarting I recovered L1 but after watching a few seconds netflix the same thing happened again. I tried everything but after reverting the tutorial and redownloading the widevine certificate it seemed to work (strangely now I had HD on netflix without following the tutorial, I guessed it was because of the miui 13 update). It's been working fine for about 2 weeks, but all of a sudden it's happening again. Drop from L1 to L3 randomly after a few minutes/seconds of watching netflix and returns to L1 only if I reboot. What is happening?
Are you signed into Xiaomi cloud with an account? i found when i wasn't it would revert to L3.
i dont use the cloud i sync all off. never had it revert back again.

Yes, I am using xiaomi cloud and it happens randomly.
It happens again. It seems to always happen at the same time of day. Once it happens, after reboot it goes back to L1 but minutes later it drops to L3.

The only app I have removed is the default keyboard. I also disabled MIUI optimization but have turned it back on to see if it fixes the issue. I have the security application and it is the same as in the screenshot. On the other hand, I have Magisk with MagiskHide Props Config to enable screen gestures with 3rd party launcher, universal safetynet fix and Fullscreen Immersive gestures. Also I use adaway. But none of these things gave me problems in the past.

Yeah leave the optimization on. Leaving it off to sideload only.
L1 will stick once you get the permissions and security to balance.
It's a juggling act to keep it all happy on the China rom.
Edit: also once you're done with developer settings. Turn it back off.
Try that.

I have activated MIUI optimization and yesterday it gave me no problems. I'll be testing for a few days.
After the Netflix app update overnight I've been pushed back to L3.
Deleted the app, re-downloaded and still L3.
Saw that my Widevine L1 payment status was not available.
Tried to download certificate and it just hung wouldn't download. It was due to Xiaomi cloud not responding.
Rebooted the device and downloaded the certificate and it's all fixed with L1 back.
After some testing. If you lose contact with Xiaomi cloud you lose L1.
Seems to be a 'handshake' between the cloud and the Netflix app.
Xiaomi cloud has the receipts that Netflix requires for HD content.

I was just thinking that a few days ago. I suspect that the widevine certificate needs to be checked from time to time to verify that everything is correct. That is why the failure occurs randomly and at certain times, because the server to which the certificate is checked is down or saturated at that time.
Hello I am a player from China, and I have the same problem as you, I saw in the software devcheck 1 that my security level is L1, but I opened netflix and found that the playback specification is L3, that is, I can only watch SD I'm worried about this. I hope you can solve it as soon as possible. If I solve it, I will tell you as soon as possible. I still have a problem, that is, after installing magisk, the security level after obtaining root will not be reduced to L3. Do I see in your comment that you can escape the detection of netflix, I hope to get guidance, do you know where there is a tutorial? can you give me a link thank you and hope you have a good life

Netflix app and Xiaomi cloud talk to each other. If the Xiaomi cloud is disabled by the user or it's busy and not responding the Netflix app will revert back to L3.

Again the same problem. It reoccurs randomly. This time I put Amazon Prime and it happened after a minute. Everything indicates that it is a problem with xiaomi.
It's really bad today after another Netflix app update. I can't get through 10 mins without Netflix failing and reverting back to L3. Device fail error message pops up. I check the Widevine certificate and it's not available.
Man this annoying. Uninstall Netflix, reboot device, check certificate is available and then download Netflix again to retrieve L1. 10 mins later rinse repeat.
I had it running fine for weeks and now the update has done something.
After an hour or so ive managed to get it to stick.
i tested the xiaomi cloud app data sync in real time and havent had an issue since.
maybe its what netflix needs. to be in some sort of frequent contact.
I dont know we'll see.

That's what I thought, but it's not really a problem with Netflix (it also happens with Amazon Prime). It's a truly random problem. Sometimes it happens constantly every few minutes and other times it happens every few days. The most logical explanation is that the widevine certificate depends externally on a xiaomi server that fails (exactly the same thing happens to me with some xiaomi IOT devices).
