Hi everybody
If i manage to unlock and root my p20 lite does this have any bad affects to the picture quality as it's the case with the Sony Z3 Compact and it's DRM Key's?
Regards Kuni
Hi!

Hey, I unlocked and rooted my phone, and also flashed OpenKirin LineageOS Beta 5. The camera quality seems to unaffected, as long as you use the default camera app.

Anybody, any info about Sony's plan, to improve our device camera? As minimum ability to have RAW format, more SS.
Is it possible to unlock/have camera 2api ?
One more question. Do you also have that feelings, that camera theme is a TABU for Sony's support, moderators, care and other people from Sony?

No there is no chance for xz1 to be improved. Camera has no ois or eis. Sony doesn't support 2api so you can't have raw or more SS. Maybe xz2 camera will include them.

Yeah...
It is so sad to see a very very good manufacturer not being able to compete the competition with its own tool (hardware components) this only due to lack of development...
Was on HTC (HD2 then Evo3d), came to Sony (first Z version) came back to Sony Z5 and HTC 10 after being so disappointed about camera quality and finally back to Xz1 (bought a XZ to my wife and was pretty convinced about progress) but I have to admit that I am still expecting that HTC revive my 2 years old HTC 10 as I am not at all satisfied about camera picture quality...
Do not get me wrong... The Xz1 is far one of the best phone (specially on Battery, Responsiveness, Security patches,...) but not for pictures.
Except may be the very slow motion but I have read that S9 will have the same... So no more advantages...
Hi guys, i updated my sony xz1 to android Pie but i see what there no difference in tems of photos with Oreo (same algorithm) and no HDR videos, i thing is only marketing and sony is very unfair, because with a Big update the camera still sucks with a great Hardware, same sensor of Sony xz2 and xz3, and no are great difference between snap 845 and 835
so sad :đang khóc::đang khóc::đang khóc:
Hello to All,
I have bought my Mi 8 Lite a few days ago. The device is good but the camera quality is not so good. When I take a picture with the camera there is a lot of noise. I think that the camera has more potential, maybe there is some software problem?
Do you have the same problem?
The software version of my device is - android version 8.1.0 OPM1.171019.019, MIUI version - Global 10.2(10.2.2.0)

No, i do not get the same issues with my Mi 8 Lite, Noise only happens in Low-Light which is normal for a lot of cameras.
Camera is the best in that price range
Thank you for answering.
In low light the camera isn't doing well and yes in that price range it's ok.
