Anyone know of an app that will show the connected LTE band on the P20 Lite?
The usual apps like LTE Discovery and NetMonitor only show "LTE" rather than the band in use.

In the LTE Discovery If you give permission to your location then you can see LTE Band in use.

Does the Lumia 800 show a H for HSDPA and H+ for HSDPA+ connections? Mine only ever shows 3G.
I have the H on my screen now. Don't think I've ever seen a plus sign though.
In settings under "Highest connection speed" does it have the option for HSDPA? Mine has Edge or 3G thats it.

Same here, but i swear I've seen a 'H' up there before... hmmm
I have only 3G and E in settings and i have never seen H icon in signal bar or in settings.
HSDPA actually is 3G. HSDPA is just a little bit faster than the actual 3G, and is often referred as 3,5G. It's normal you cannot choose HSDPA in your settings, because it uses the same band(s) as 3G does, and the phone will of course prefer HSDPA over 3G if available.
So why doesn't it show H when I am downloading with obvious HSDPA speeds? If I speed test my Lumia and my Nexus the Nexus is WAY faster.
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
If it doesn't show H, and your Nexus is way faster, then clearly it's only on 3G.
But why?
This phone supports HSDPA and I am within a coverage area (as shown by the Nexus speeds) so why does it not connect as such?
I'm on the german O2 Network with an unbranded Lumia 800 and I notivec everything: G, E, 3G and H. Everything is shown when I'm in a covered area.

Are you using the same network across both phones??
Yes I take the sim out of one and put it in the other. Same everything other than the phone.

Have you looked at your APN settings? You might need to configure those according to your carrier/network...
I've tried a few of the apps, but none of them is reporting what LTE Band I'm currently using. Any idea to find this info out?
Thanks
Nathan

app "LTE Discovery" works
Trying to use the #s above does not work on my (AT&T) LG V10.
My note 4 had the secret menu that would allow me to select all LTE only bands where would I need to go to do that? Also browsing through the menu given 277634#*# I see some stuff dealing with tether and all that has anyone messed around with the settings in there?

+1 I also use LTE Discovery app.
The best there is! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blueline.signalcheck&hl=en
I should have said, I have a H962 and am on Optus in Austraila and that I've so far tried:
- 277634#*# (does not work)
- Network Signal Info Pro = no 4g band info
- Signal Check (lite) = no 4g band info
- LTE Discovery = no 4g band info
It seems most of these apps will only report the 4G band info for some networks.

Hello,
Currently there is no generic Android API to support Dual SIM functionality, so Dual SIM support is not yet on our development roadmap.
It is possible that there is a manufacturer specific API or other means of getting signal information for a second SIM. What kind of phone do you have? If there are large groups of Dual SIM phones that are made by the same manufacturer, we will investigate whether we can get data for that family of devices.
Regards,
Teresa

Is there any way to see which LTE band you are connected to on the Moto Z? Apple and Samsung devices both offer this in field test modes.
Thanks in advance

Is a built in app but you must create a shortcut via app (play) activity launcher.
Settings, testing
There are apps on Play that duplicate this app too

There is an app in Play store, network signal guru is the name. Not sure if it works without root.

hi everyone
I'm living in iran and carrier support 4g+ on 3 and 7 band
how to enable 4g+ on my phone?
I believe the phone connects to it automatically, because here in India whenever I go to areas with 4G+ it shows/connects automatically.
my phone also never shows 4G+ even in countries where it should work... and my LTE speed is always low compared to other phones using same network. More here

It is hardware related and depends on which model of the F1 you have. If your F1 model supports bands 3 and 7, then you will get it, otherwise not.

If your carrier supports 4G+ on specific bands, then you can "force" your phone to connect to those specific bands by using apps like Network signal guru.
I have recently been getting download speeds of over 700Mbs on T-Mobile, so I was trying to figure out if I was using some of the new Sprint Mid band spectrum - Band n41 (2.5 GHz). LTE discovery says it is on band 66, but that seems to fast for 600Mhz (at least what I have been used to which was just like LTE). Any knowledge would be helpful...
Thanks
Have you tried this app? Works for LTE, not sure if it'll tell you the 5G band, though.

Or try this app, you can select the band you want.
