galaxy note 4 soft unbrick help - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I got a Galaxy Note 4 on Telus (Canadian), and my phone was in a bootloop so I decided to flash stock ROM with ODIN. Here's what I know:
It has never been rooted
Reactivation lock is on
There are no other modifications that I know of
Model number: SM-N910W8
Known issues: My phone would randomly shut off (straight reboot, doesn't go to logo) when I used Snapchat after around 5-6 seconds. This would also happen rarely when I used my camera, but other than that it would never happen.
Notes on what I've tried:
Getting latest ODIN version
Updating Samsung drivers
I made sure that I had the correct ROM
When I flash in ODIN, it gives me a pass
Phone reboots, and it says recovery booting in top left corner with Samsung logo
It says installing system update, and it shows a progress bar
It's slow and steady progression until about a quarter of the way through, where it jumps and then promptly says "Erasing..." and then reboots
After it reboots, it still says recovery mode and it goes back to saying installing system update but this time without a progress bar
It stays on this screen for a short period of time then reboots and does the same thing > recovery booting > system update
I would just like to know why I fail to flash a ROM that works properly. Am I doing something wrong?

Does this occur because you have reactivation lock on?

Is there a way to turn it off then, outside of the settings menu?

[Q] GS2 stop working during night / stuck on startup

Hello,
I've got a problem with my Galaxy S2 I-91000 unbranded rooted with official ICS rom (but not the one from my country, the Frankenstein one if I remember well). It was working fine for a few weeks and this morning it failed to wake me up... (thanks to my loyal backup alarm clock otherwise I would still be sleeping haha...). It seams the phone juste shut down by itself during night even if plugged to the official wall charger. I've tried to restard it while on the charger and get stuck on the Galaxy logo (the one pulsing with a purple/blu logo). After 10min on that screen I removed the battery and try again without the charger. Now it's getting stuck on the Galaxy SII white text logo (the very first screen on start up).
I've tried up + home + power for recovery mode and other options but after a few second I've kept the three button I've the Galaxy SII screen turning black and then coming back again...
I've tried down + home + power and I get the screen from Odin that ask for loading a custom rom. So I seams my only option, ? I've downloaded a rom to try, I've choose Super Nexus copy the Google Apps + Super Nexus Rom to my formatted SD card and accepte the rom download with odin... and here it get stuck on the screen saying: "Downloading... Do not turn off the target device"... after 30min on this screen I've removed the battery and give it up.
What should I do now ?

Did you try, pulling out the battery -> hold power for 10 seconds -> putt battery in and boot?

Yes one of the first thing I did. However I've tried again and this time it kind of goes further, I get the little intro but laggy then it get stuck on the second logo (purple/blue one) like the very first time I've tried. I'll try the guide to fix unflashable or soft bricked SGII... let's hope.
(In these time I understand the bad side of using Google Auth. for many website )
EDIT:
I've tried the Guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449771
Flash with code, modem and CSC get stuck on NAND write ....
Flash with . pit: I didn't because I couldn't get a .pit file in the provided archives. I found some on internet but I don't trust them as I don't know what is the purpose of the .pit file.
Flash Kernel: get stuck on NAND write again.
Now I get the yellow triangle with warning about recovery mode in Kies. So I've re-installed Kies again and tried that but I can't use it because it didn't failed during an update from Kies...
Basically I'm stuck with a useless smartphone without doing anything on it that cause the problem directly...
Anyone found a fix?

Exactly the same thing happened with me today! Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

[Q] Note 2 stuck on boot, screen shifting

My Note II (N7100) won't start up and I don't know what is the cause. The text "galaxy note 2" is showing and right after that, the text buzzes away.
I already tried to flash stock rom, but it did not help (I don't know if I had the right one, however, on download mode it says samsung official. My device is the international version, I live in Holland. Also, in download mode, the screen does not shift like it does in recovery mode and in the startup animation).
I also tried to get into recovery mode, and managed to restore to factory settings and wipe cache, options in recovery mode were hard to read because of the shifting screen. Please help me.
My device had been rooted, but I flashed stock rom again about a month ago. Last night I went to sleep and put my phone on the charger, my alarm was still working, but when I woke up my phone did not start up anymore.

Galaxy S5 Won't Boot!

Last night I downloaded the latest CM13 for Feb. 14 on my phone and was going to update. After the download finished it gave me the option to reboot and update so I said Ok. Ever since then my phone hasn't booted up to anything. I try booting into recovery mode and download mode but all I get is the Galaxy S5 screen and then the Android logo with text under that reads "Installing System Update" but it flashes the logo. What I mean by that is the screen is black for about 10 seconds and then the logo and text just pop up for a second and back to the black screen. I did leave it alone for hours to see if maybe it updated or something but still nothing.
This is what pops up = imgur(dot)com/u6qOC6c
(Sorry, it wouldn't let me post links)
Is my phone bricked? Is there anyway to fix this issue?
Thanks.
Calm down, phones brick all the time. And yours isn't bricked. Anyway, put it in download mode and than flash a stock ROM back.
Than do all the process for installing Cyanogenmod again with a clean install. Good luck!

Samsung Galaxy S4 WEIRD Problems (A must read for certified problem solvers)

Ok, so one night I was using my phone normally (Browsing. Watching YouTube, Playing Games) like everyone else does. Then all of a sudden it shuts off, but immediately turns on again without me pressing a button. (So basically it suddenly auto restarts on its own) This occured maybe 2-4 times (all in one night) until one time, it shuts off but doesn't turn on again (basically an automatic shutdown), so I tried turning it on again (Power button), then I got shocked because all of a sudden it enters a boot loop (Screen displaying this sequence : Samsung Galaxy S4 screen, my carrier logo screen, The encrypted screen (where you have to enter your encryption password) then again the Samsung logo but this time with the colors splashing from the background, then it shuts off again.) Sometimes after the boot loop sequence, it vibrates but never turns on again, sometimes it just turns off after the sequence. And as I try and try to get away from the boot loop, the sequence became shorter. So I'm guessing it's a battery problem, BUT my battery isn't bloated or deformed. I tried clearing the cache first, again the sequence got shorter (never going up to the carrier logo screen), then I tried formatting the data, still to no avail. Now, when I turn it on, It shows the Samsung logo screen for 2 seconds and shuts down.
I tried flashing it with ODIN thru Download mode BUT (HERE'S where another problem occured) :
My phone never get pass on the system.img.ext4 dialogue and my screen just goes blank. But ODIN still recognizes my phone. And when I remove the USB cable, ODIN says FAIL.
I'm sure the cable is working. I downloaded the firmware for my carrier (Tre 3).
What could be the real problem here?
Here is the description of my device :
Samsung Galaxy GT-I9505
Bought from Italy, Tre 3 carrier
Can I download a different region/carrier for my I9505 phone?
Advanced thanks for anyone who comments and I'm very sorry for my English. Thanks!
I would install TWRP recovery, boot to it, and use it to format data, which will remove the encryption. Then I would either push a rom to the phone via recovery or try to reinstall the stock firmware with Odin. Make sure that you run Odin as admin as well. The firmware must be the same version or newer. If you still have the stock recovery and can boot to it, then I think the build number of the currently installed firmware will be visible there. You should be able to use that to Google the correct version you need.
Hey it's me. Just posting a quick reply.
Thanks for replying to my post. Yesterday I successfully flash a rom to my GT-I9505 (Version 5.0.1 Italy HUI 3G). However it still didn't boot up. At first try it booted up to the first setup screen then just randomly shuts down. Then as I try to boot it up again, It just shuts down after the first Samsung logo (with the GT-I9505 logo), I can't boot into recovery cause it shuts down. I'm sure it's not a battery issue cause when I boot into download mode, it can stay in that screen for like 10 minutes. What could be the issue? I'm planning to disassemble my S4 sooner to see if something's wrong inside. Thanks again for the reply

Question Pixel 6 Randomly rebooting after Android 13 update

My wifes Pixel 6 was recently updated to Android 13. From what I can gather the update was not sucessful - The process got stuck on the 'G' screen with the scrolling bar undernath for several hours before my wife gave up and forced the phone to reboot. She has since managed to perform a factory reset from recovery mode but the phone constantly reboots during the android setup screens. I'm now in posession of her phone to try and fix the issue mysef, however recovery and rescue modes both display the 'no command' screen.
I have tried to reflash a stock rom using ADB but this does not work as 'OEM unlocking' is not enabled, nor can it be enabled as the OS refuses to load all the way before a random reboot occurs.
I'm really hoping someone can tell me how to get around the device lock so I can flash this thing!
Thanks
Whether it can enter REC?

You can try sideloading the full OTA. That doesn't require an unlocked bootloader.
