Root Korean Variant? - LG G5 Questions & Answers

So i have F700L. While unlocking developer mode i found the "enable oem unlock" meaning it will unlock the bootloader right? So can i root it and flash rom?

I'm not sure if its actually a proper unlock (Tmo has unlocked bootloader, but locked up fastboot). What I do know is that you probably won't get TWRP or any custom ROM because all of the ROMs here are made specifically for the RS998, H830, or H850.

[Q] EZ-unlock- working to unlock Vzw?

Is this working to unlock the Vzw S4? How are we unlocking the bootloader currently?
There currently isn't a bootloader unlock for the S4.
I didn't think there was but there is a boot animation change/rotator tutorial in the themes and apps section but it states that the phone must be unlocked......I didn't think we had an unlocked bootloader yet! Just making sure I didn't miss anything.
there is a bootloader "bypass" but not a full unlock

s5 T-Mobile bootloader

If I start root process and if s5 T-Mobile bootloader is locked than my phone will be stuck at bopotloop or no
Can someone confirm me that s5 T-Mobile bootloader is locked or unlocked on marshmallow
Unlocked by default on older hardware, on newer hardware (T3), you have to check OEM Unlock in Developer Options. Either way you won't have a bootloop, if it's locked it just won't flash, you get an error in Odin.
In 900T MM won't lock bootloader

Relocking Bootloader

Hey guys, selling my V30 but i unlocked the bootloader. Its an official UK model.
How do i go around relocking the bootloader and removing all trace that i unlocked it.
Can i just use the bootloader oem lock command or something similar?
Thanks.
Flash a kdz for H930 of your choice first (REFURBISH option), then relock the bootloader using the fastboot commands.

Lg g5 h860 bootloader unlock

I am thinking that to unlock lg h860 we can first flash lg g5 h850 rom in it and then we can unlock the bootloader bec i think hardware configration is same lg g5 so this method should work had anybody tried this??
I found this method below at the link posted to unlock the bootloader for the H860. Try this at your own risk, I have not tried it myself because I dont own the phone yet.

I doubt this will work, so far only European H850s have had the ability to unlock. It's not as simple as flashing a H850 rom either, that doesn't override the bootloader.
Flashing the whole rom (a KDZ rom or every img file from a complete zip, with all the complementary partitions, as the bootloader) could be in theory a solution. But you should be able to trick LGUP so that is sees your H860 as an H850, and then flash the ROM (hoping that the partition scheme is compatible). You should also make sure that the H850 bootloader can't detect it's being loaded on a H860 (refusing to boot), and only then you will be able to flash TWRP and do whatever you want on the phone.
Unfortunately, I don't know any way to circumvent these two obstacles.
Flashing just the bootloader using
Code:
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img
shouldn't work, as the bootloader is locked.
In my developer option I now see : Enable OEM unlock option. Does it mean my H860 is unlockable?
In theory yes, try enabling the option and unlocking the bootloader.

General SM-S906U1 doesn't have fastboot

So i got the S22+ from Spectrum and i have been looking into rooting it but there is no oem unlock, so i tried to go into fastbood with adb but all it does is reboot the device it does not even go to fastboot therefore this model is impossible to root right?
You need unlocked bootloader to root, bootloader cannot be unlocked.

Click to collapse
So therefore i gotta buy another model to unlock the bootloader?
Snapdragon U and U1 are locked bootloader no oem unlock, can't be unlocked or rooted. If you are in United States depending on which carrier you have, you need to be careful buying International devices. I'm on At&t and they only support certain variations of devices now. Trust me I found out the hard way. If it's not on their supported devices they will disable your Sim card for unauthorized device. And trying to have them whitelist the imei does nothing
