I'm wanting to ask is there any chance of creating a TouchWiz based oreo ROM for Samsung a5 2016?
I'm really liking the TouchWiz interface and want an android 8 update.I have started working on port Rom for this device but whit 0 success .If someone want to join and help I'll be very grateful.
P.S I really want this to get to the guys that can help and make a stable Rom.

I just got one of these for my daughter and I was straight on here looking for a custom rom for her, but the phone isn't even listed yet. It's still too new. I'm sure in a while there will be roms for it, and the phone is equivalent in power to an S4 I think so could run lollipop I'm guessing.

I want to install a custom rom on my A5 also, i hate touchwiz launcher.
i followed this tutorial and it worked but can't do anything more since there's no custom recovery or roms for the A5 i have one but it's just an improved version of the 4.4.4

What tutorial did you follow ? Yes, without a custom rom we can't do anything.... Let's wait for a while.
Samsung will launch Lollipop soon, but i don't want this with touchwiz launcher.
Thanks for lacking of ROMs. Now I use the phone with stock ROM without even root, and I'm happy. Weird!! )
me tooi have A5 i tried many tutorials to root but only one works is the KINGROOT softwar for pc now its rooted but i cant find any recovery or custom rom hhh
My s4 died and since I'm a poor bastard I ended with an a5 (s5 and s6 still way too expensive)
Phone is not as powerful as an s4... Mine ran cyanogenmod with f2fs and there is no comparison.
A5 is OK... Samsung did shaved some bloatware and the phone is quick enough to not be annoying.
I enjoy using it but sometimes the ok screen get on my nerves (s4 had over 400 ppi... This one us like 290)
Hello i love lollipop rom but i can't port or create lollipop rom i just port Kitkat or lower roms please help for porting or creating lollipop.
Little Note: I don't know porting or creating rom with source.

I have found a great tutorial on how to design your own Touchwiz ROM, however, I cannot find a Stock Rooted Deodexed ROM that I can use as a base for the LeTV X500/1S. If anyone has one or could point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.

Can anyone port a marshmallow rom for gionee p5l 6735 without any major bugs ,i have a pure aosp rom but it has camera and volte bugs and i don't know how to fix it any helping reply would be appreciated and i don't know much about porting just got aosp rom from someone. AOSP rom was ported by me.... And i had ported many roms like rr5.8.2 and miui but some peoples had problems with me or the roms bcoz of bugs which i was constantly trying my best to fix but they reported my videos as scams and my channel was shut down..... Now i have RR 5.8.5 Nougat rom stable but i m not gonna upload it anywhere.... ....

i have a swipe elite note with 6735 chipset n 3.18.19 kerenel..with marshmallow
found a rom that could be ported to my device...resurection remix rom based on nougat..i am new bee..facing too many problems while trying to port..can assist a little if possible so that i can get working rom to my mobile...
can nougat rom be flashed in system(folder) or with system.new.dat ...and updater script in resurectiom remix is different in relation to i have seen in internet to change mount points...it has like
mount("ext4", "EMMC", "/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.msdc0/by-name/userdata", "/data" in
It has no command as dev/mmcbkl0p20 like that(i have seen in internet on other update scripts)...is this normal..i dont have updater script as i have my stock rom in the form of sp flashable tool image format(.img)..
