Hello all,
Recently my Lenovo stopped booting and it gets stuck in a bootloop. I still have access to the reset mode by holding volume up and down.
I have the 4GB RAM version. Is that enough information to fix the issue? Let me know if I need to supply more information (and how to obtain it, please).
I tried looking around for solutions. Many people seem to have fixed similar problems. Unfortunately their posts usually contain dead links so I couldn't use their methods.
If I need to reinstall I would prefer an English system. There is no important data on the phone. It would be nice to be able to retrieve contacts but it's not a big deal to lose them.
Thank you in advance.
Hi. Unfortunately you canot recover the information after the phone entered in that state, unless you are doing backup in clowd.
All you can do is to reflash the firmware with SP Flash Tool.
Here is the link for multilanguage firmware: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/firmware-row-cn-layout-t3550801
Here is one firmware that i like: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p780/development/miui-lenovo-p780-t2976347
Read the tutorials twice before you do anything.
Tell me if something goes wrong.
Good Luck.

Hello, after playing with a tablet I got boot loop so below is solution for this.
This is what I wrote first:
I purchased Chinese tablet called CyberNav, there is link to the website with specs http://www.dracotek.com/cybernav-7-...ps-navigator-ultra-slim-wifi-8gb-gps70yw.html It works great and is worth the money. I received- on request- firmware for it, but it is with .img extension and I have no idea how to get to the files. Attached application PhoenixCard should install it on sd card but it does nothing. So there is my question- can anyone help me with it? Possibly root it? Or update to newer firmware version? I'll post a link to, just need to upload it to my dropbox on my next break at work.
Sek
im pretty sure you need a 3rd party application to flash that firmware, i think you load the .img file into the software on your pc, connect tablet in flash/recovery mode then flash it that way, dont know which software you would need to use though , sorry i cant help further
There is link to rar package http://db.tt/jm7eHfbq
If there is someone who wants to spend some time... Please help.
Bump
Some new infos:
As far I found out tablet is detectable during boot in adb, but it stays in boot loop. I think I've got right usb drivers.
I tried unyaffs the .img file using C:/unyaffs/unyaffs pw08.img but it shows file corrupted (might be wrong method?).
Logcat attached.
Maybe there is someone who will find what it's missing...
I see there is nobody who can help me, so... If some of u have similar problem with chinese tablet- bootloop, can't flash it with LiveSuit our update from sdcard, I found solution which worked for me. Using adb, pulled catalog /dev/data/ to hard disk, then deleted all dalvik cache, installed by me apps and almost every other file from /data on my hard disk. Then typed adb remount, then adb shell rm -r /dev/data/* to delete all data catalog on tablet. Then pushed /data catalog from my hard disk to tablet, and finally adb reboot. And it WORKS! Booting without problems. I wasted 4 days on research how to turn it in flash mode etc. But it was very simple.
Cheers

Hi, sek111
It was necessary to use the LiveSuite to flash through usb.
Thank you very much, from your post, I found the firmware for my tablet.
An experience with another low cost tablet with Bootloop
I happen to got my tab (Wammy from WickedLeak.org) stuck in BootLoop and was struggling to get a way out for the past 3 days, checking almost all of the posts for this issue!
The tab would stuck on the android loading animation despite running for 2-3 hours and after several hard reboots, it throw-ed following error-
Encryption Unsuccessful
encrytion was interupted and cant complete. as a result the data on your tablet is no longer accessible
to resume using your tablet, you must perform a factory reset. when you set up your tab after the reset, u'll hav an opportunity to restore any data that was backed up to ur google account

Despite going for the factory reset, it still didn't workout as the reset activity never completed or proceeded. I happen to be a beginner/noob and was trying my luck with possible solution but was comfortable with ADB stuff and workaround. Well i checked the solution which sek111 offered in this post and it was most closely helped me out. So i would like to Thank him a ton for sharing his solution.
Another method for few others if you don't get through the technical stuff and handling all the flashing tools, i was successful in bringing up the setting window of my tab and chose to do Reset via GUI which worked. Actually my battery got drained out to 7% and a popup message for same displayed while i was on the above error page. I selected the "check battery" option from that pop up and got my way out via factory "Backup and Reset" option under settings.
I hope this might help few people if not all! But the XDA forum is great and everyone will find a solution here. Cheers!!!
So I got this wm8850 chinese generic tablet. The camera is in the front in the middle (wide). It was shipped to me with 4.0.3 in boot loop. I soon found out that it boots into safe mode when I usb to pc. This is the furthest I've gotten with it so far. I can adb into it and have already tried to wipe data. It seems like since its from factory screwed up that a may need to reload the firmware or the os or something. Im kind of a noob because I only have my droid x. I've gotten it out of a boot loop before but I also knew what I had done to cause it so I fixed it. I tried to follow seks adb commands but im too noob to do it I guess. I was able to wipe data and dalvik-cache. Issue still occurs . If anybody can give me some adb commands than can help I would greatly appreciate it. Im fairly sure that I found the firmware elsewhere on xda. I thank you guys for any help at all you can give. I don't wanna send it back without trying everything software related as I can, but ill send it back if I can't fix it or if I brick it
Sent from my DROIDX using xda app-developers app
i have same problem in my china mobile.. dupad k1 ... after in installed new boot screen, device stuck in boot... please help to recover my device in step by step....
Hi Guys, first of all thank you in advance for any answer you could give! it will be much appreciated!
Now, before anything I know there should be hundreds of posts about this issue but I was unable to find one that could apply to my scenario. But if you know any post that could be what I'm searching please just point me in the right direction :good:
Now, here is the problem:
We bought this cheap chinese tablet with andrioid 4.2.2 for my mother and it seemed to work pretty slow and some apps where not working correctly, there where a lot of adds even when she was not on an application, they just popped out on the main menu screen, and, when trying to register Instagram it displayed a message stating that there where too many users registered in the device. I tried to root the tablet because found that it could be because some temp files but it showed that it was already rooted... So my guess is that whoever installed the OS, did it with a "hacked" version of it.
Up to this point I have tried to do a hard reset but the issue is still going because it is still the hacked version of the OS, and I havent been able to find a way to completely wipe out the OS and install a fresh new version of Jelly bean 4.2.2
Can it be done with the device conected to a PC? or can it be done with a flashed memory card?
I know finding the firmware for a chinese tablet will be a major pain in the ass but, is there a version that could work for different models? (this is a Mobix MBX7 Plus, found the website mobix.com.ve but there is just no helpful info whatsoever)
Anyway, I hope you guys can help. Sorry for the somewhat long post
Again, thank you!!
Update!!!
I found info that could lead to the correct firmware, the CPU is an Allwinner Cortex A20, but Im still not sure if this format process is just like a PC, where you need drivers or everything is on the OS
Heyhey,
I've been directed here from the XDA-assist forum (so yes, I am quite new here ), I hope that this is the correct place for my questions.
My problem is this:
I have an Huawei Y6, SCL-L21 with android 5.1 (I think it was 5.1, it was definitely 5.something). Following a youtube-video, I tried to root my phone using kingoapp. It said it was successful, but I didn't saw the SuperSu app, so I tried rebooting first. Now it seems that my phone doesn't want to boot up any more :/. I just get the Huawei logo and that's it.
I can still get into the recovery menu (EMUI, the one that was original on the device, access through sound up + power on), so I still have some hope :/. I've tried 'wipe cache partition' and 'wipe data/factory settings', neither helps.
It has come to my attention that reinstalling a back-up from the original rom might help. I, however, do not have a back-up (it will be the first thing I will look for when I get my phone working again though).
I have been searching for a stock rom, or even an custom rom that I could use to get my phone working again.
I've found a site with a custom rom that was supposed to work for my phone, but when I try it by putting the dload folder on an external (32G) SD-card an powering up my phone by pressing sound up + down + power on, I get 'Software install failed!', so apparently that is not of much help :/.
So what I wondered now, most importantly, Is there a way to get my device working again?
And also; What could be the reason that the installation of a rom fails? Could it be something I'm doing wrong? Can it be that it still needs an OS installed and that it is actually more of an update instead of a new OS? Can there be something wrong with the SD-card(wrong formatting or whatever) ?
And off course; if I can only get my device to work again using a rom; Is there a place known where I could find/get stock or custom rom's?
Any help would definitely be appreciated!
Kind regards,
Ilja_B
OK! So, I have found the factory ROM and was able to get my phone to work again ^^
I've put it on the SD-card and booted my phone the way I explained above. So apparently there was no problem with my SD-card.
I wanted to post the link here as a reply in case anyone else needed it, but apparently I can't post links :/
Does anyone has an idea where a good place would be to post this, so others might also benefit?
Grtz,
Uplad to google drive
i have the same problem help me please
I've found my ROM on the bottom of this page here [1] under the 'download'-tab. From the name of the file I get that this is for the Huawei Y6 SCL-L21 for Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal and others. Hopes this helps, or at least gets you on your way to find the correct ROM for yourself. You should find a proper explanation on how to install the ROM online.

thanks but i already downloaded it but didn't work
Sorry for a very strange problem.... My wife still uses her old S III (I9300), although it is so outdated and partly broken. Some time ago we flashed CM 12, so that some apps who need a more up-to-date android can be used. But the phone is too slow, there is a crack in the display and sometimes it starts to reboot without any reason. There is not enough memory to install additional apps and without LTE it is no fun.
=> I want to buy a new smartphone for her, but she doesn't want to. She wants to save money and use it, until it is not usable any more.
Of course I could give it a good strike with a hammer or give it a treatment in the microwave oven, but I would prefer only a temporary lack of functions, so that perhaps later I can use it as backup phone for the kids. Therefore I am looking for some trick, app or system setting to SIMULATE, that the phone is broken. When she is happy with her new phone, I intend to "repair" it "by chance"....
Any ideas? How can I simulate, that the phone is broken? Thanks!
You need to hardbrick it.I dont know how to but you can Google it.

Thanks for the reply! I googled, but i think i want to SOFTbrick it, not to hardbrick it. As I wrote above, I want to "revive" it after some time....
I think the simplest way may be to take the phone, create a backup of all data, put the phone into download mode, start flashing a stock ROM, remove the USB cable when it starts to flash the final file, and reboot the phone. Hopefully, the phone will display the "firmware upgrade encountered an error" message which can be resolved by re-flashing the stock ROM with Odin.
Based on my experience with flashing a stock ROM over a stock ROM, this procedure always leaves the data and apps intact.

Ah,sorry I read it but while replying I forgot somehow.Yeah, then you need to soft brick it .It can be achieved by deleting some system files. So phone can got into bootloop. If your wife doesnt now how to get in to recovery then you should be ok.
Stock rooted phone needed for this, activate factory app. It will give a black window with device information over everything onscreen. Disable factory app to remove it later on.
By flashing the stock firmware in an attempt to make it all better gives the perfect opportunity to pretend the process buggered it.
Put some clear tape on the battery contacts ?
Hello folks.
I would like to save the data on an old phone, but I'm getting a bit overwhelmed because I have no idea about roots etc. and would be happy about any help
It's about a GT-S8600 Wave 3.
When you start it, it gets stuck on the Samsung display screen and nothing happens. However, you can still switch it to download mode.
Now I have read and seen that it could work with Odin and flashing a one-piece firmware, whereby the internal memory is not deleted.
However, I cannot find any firmware. Bada 2.0 is the operating system.
The Samfirm tool does not find any firmware for this phone.
If someone has a tip on how else to save the data or where to get the firmware, preferably in German or English, I would be very grateful.
I managed to get a Firmware. Odin dont work for me cause it cant find the phone. so iam forced to use Multiloader.
So my question would be now, which files i have to flash if i dont want to loose all data?
Pls help.
