Hi,
I flashed twrp-3.2.2-0-vince.img using fastboot.
Pressed Vol+ + power and the device is stuck in the MI logo and on the bottom it says "Unlocked"
I tried flashing again, boot to system and then tried to boot to recovery bit got the stock recovery.
So I flashed again, this time booted using "fastboot boot twrp-3.2.2-0-vince.img", and again, stuck on the MI logo and on the bottom it says "Unlocked".
What am I doing wrong?

I downloaded the recovery from here:
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=277429
followed the instructions under - B. INSTALLATION - if you have stock miui Recovery
and same thing, after step 8 - Run "fastboot boot recovery.img". my phone is stuck at the logo screen with the unlocked message.
BTW,
The phone is new, never touched it, the only thing I did is to unlock it, that's it.

As discussed in the other thread, you may have whyred, not vince.

Thought so. The whyred build of OrangeFox is currently being tested. When it is ready, it will be announced in the whyred forum.

For some reason I didn't get notification for this post.
Yes, I found a solution, either twrp-3.2.2-0-whyred or Magisk-v16.0, but I can't recall which I used

Fastboot reboot recovery twrp.img

Just got the phone, unlocked through HTCDev, installed recovery through Toolkit, but can't actually boot into recovery. I tried all of the recoveries available (TWRP, CWM, CWM Touch) but once I select reboot into recovery, it reboots, gets to the HTC logo screen, something appears on the top edge of the screen, it reboots and boots normally. Did I do something wrong?
Try one of the other methods to flash recovery.

I just tried flashing TWRP manually (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img) and it still does the same. I renamed the img file to recovery.img, so it's not that.
Try redownloading the file from the url above. Maybe it was a bad file download?
Also try different micro usb cables and usb ports. Reinstall the drivers just things like that

reason I asked was maybe there is a bug when selecting reboot into recovery thought it was worth a try to enter it a different way
Fixed it by selecting "Factory Reset" in the bootloader menu--went straight to recovery.
I had the same problem and was able to resolve it by turning off fast boot in the power settings screen.
Im having the same issue with every recovery I flash. Obviously im not a noob and can flash stuff. Im just boggled because everybody is reporting flashing internation stuff just fine. The recoveries don't work for me. Can someone direct link me to the recovery they flashed on their att version?

i had this trouble and just adb pushed them and it worked glad you got it working
my nephew was having the same issue as well and never got it boot to recovery. while i was troubleshooting, i discovered he was using the recovery for the Sprint version. ugh!!! i got the international version and manually flashed it (fastboot flash recovery recovery.img, fastboot reboot-bootloader) and then tried to enter recovery with no success. I rebooted to bootloader again, selected factory reset, and the phone rebooted normally. tried the adb reboot recovery command, phone reboots, i see a window flash in the background with red writing at the bottom, and then it boots normally. i've done this 5 times with no luck. any suggestions?

Cheesy (lol) thanks for the tip! while i didn't follow all the steps in that post, i did perform one task that got me to recovery: use the POWER+VOLUME DOWN method to reboot to bootloader. once in bootloader mode, i saw *TAMPERED* at the top of the screen and knew i was good to go, e.g., get into recovery mode. thanks again bro!

I have tried all of these methods. I have flashed the recovery, all of them, repeatedly and my phone will only show unlocked. I have used the All in One as well as manually flashing the recovery as well. but my phone never switches to *TAMPERED*. Any advice?
I had this happen on my other One tonight. I had flashed the recovery via fastboot about 15 times and it wasn't working until I let it reboot to OS and then I adb reboot bootloader and magically it showed TAMPERED. Just keep doing the steps over and over again and eventually it'll work. After it finally took TWRP I was able to change it for CWM Touch with no issues.
Disabling HTC Fast boot did it for me!
Hello! I have a problem during boot into recovery of my Moto E XT1022.
I did the bootloader unlock (with code Motorola) ... all OK!
Installing the recovery TWRP 3.0.0 ... all OK! No error message and successfully installed.
But, When I try to go to recovery the smartphone goes off! (with black screen)
Even if i try in fastboot access in recovery (fastboot boot recovery.img), the screen will freeze in the Motorola Logo.
I therefore can not access in any way to recovery.
I also tried older versions of TWRP and CWM but everything remains the same. How can i fix? Tnx!
Flash stock recovery for once and try to boot into it.
See what happens
put any rom in your sd and flash it by going to twrp
it works

Solved with this version. Thank you so much!
Hi all,
After "successfully" installing TWRP, which already took me lots of time due to strange errors, i can not go into TWRP mode. Only in Standard Recovery.
I followed every tip which i found how to exit the fastboot mode succesfully (pressing Vol+ & Power / Removing USB Cable / Tried TeamSpains Automatic Installer), but nothing worked. Most of the time just a black screen and Blue Led.
The only thing i did not do is typing in "fastboot reboot" because i read that this caused a brick on a few Le Max 2.
Any suggestions how i could finally install TWRP ?
Thanks a lot!
Wow, I'm almost in the same situation, but mine is worse - Neither standart recovery, nor TWRP start.
Can you confirm, that your bootloader is unlocked?
Because in my case, the bootloader was locked and I managed to corrupt the recovery by installing TWRP forcefully, which brought me to the continious boot loop in the recovery with no os loaded at all.
check these commands in fastboot:
fastboot oem unlock (fastboot oem unlock-go worked for me)
After it is unlocked -> fastboot flash recovery bla-bla.img -> fastboot boot bla-bla.img, where bla-bla is your twrp image.
The clue is to use proper version of TWRP from Teamspain or from the thread Official TWRP. You can always use fastboot boot for the first try. And unlock the bootloader first.

Try twrp manager app or the official twrp app. I had problems with teamspain version, appeared not to be working (black screen) but after about 30 seconds it worked. With the latest official version 3.0.2-1-x2 which i installed with twrp manager it boots up immediately
I think as soon as you type fastboot reboot you need to hold power + Volume up button to load the TWRP. Else default recovery gets reinstated.
try to boot into twrp, maybe that will work it described in step 6.4 in this tutorial:

Hi All,
I have an Redmi 3 pro with unlocked BL and the latest "official" weekly 7.3.9 from xiaomi.eu and latest TWRP 3.0.2.0 from official twrp site.
I am unable to flash twrp.
I flash it with fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then boot into it using fastboot boot recovery.img with no issue at all.
Then,
if i reboot into recovery from twrp itself it still works.
if i let it boot the phone in its bootloader (POW+VOL_UP the one where you can choose "download" "fasboot" or "recovery") and i select recovery, it does not boot. The phone boots instead.
if i choose from the updater to reboot in recovery, same.
if i choose from flashify (which shows me "stock recovery" is installed), same.
if i use adb reboot recovery same.
i can only boot it using command fastboot boot recovery.img.
It just looks like the twrp flash says OKAY but it's not being flashed.
I've also tried cofface recovery with no success.
i've also tried official twrp app with no success.
everytime flash goes fine and successfully, but i'm unable to boot the phone in recovery itself.
i must always use fastboot boot recovery.img
Hints?

The Volume+ and Volume- and Power worked for me even with the rom error. Hold all buttons til you see the Mi logo, then release Power but keep holding both of the Volume buttons. I also reflashed TWRP Recovery via Fastboot, so maybe that was it.
I'm also facing a problem around TWRP 3.0.2.
But different situation
I always failed/unable to boot into recovery or bootloader everytime I click reboot recovery or bootloader button in TWRP recovery mode.
I still try to find a way how to fix it. Because all the articles that I found always explain about "cannot enter to recovery mode from the system", not from the recovery mode itself.
Do you got anything from all the steps above? Please let me know if there something u can share. Thanks in advance
