Latest baseband? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 / 5 Plus Questions & Answers

Hi guys, I'm still using the first oreo baseband (from 8.4.27 rom), has there been any new one with the recently released MIUI 10 developer roms? If yes, could someone be so kind and upload it for me?
Thanks in advance!

Flash non-hlos.bin with meta from the vince global update ( present 8.7...)
Vince china is nougat.
Sent from my vince using XDA Labs

Non-hlos.bin is baseband aka radio/modem update.
Extract your respected rom firmware as from above thread link.
I think it also contains goodix fingerprint.
You can flash this update directly using fastboot. Get into fastboot mode and type:
fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin
Finally, if you want to flash the entire update file via recovery, found from above comment, instead of just modem as above command, make sure the latest update doesnt enable antirollback.

simply try to replace miui stable (8.0.5.0) firmware using any miui mm firmware
if you downgrade using miflash & fastboot rom, you can easily replace the file before flashing it
if you downgrade using twrp you can try to flash below firmware at miui stable rom

actually this is an easy step...you just need to replacing firmware file of 8.0.5.0 rom using miui mm firmware.
you can download above link, extract it and copy paste all files from firmware update folder to image folder 8.0.5.0 rom.
if you have warning about replacing file, just select yes.
next step is only reguler flashing using miflash tool. nothing special.
pls try and let me know if this work for you.

my device is kenzo, just want to share which firmware i am used at android N.
i am using miui mm 6.10.13 firmware and then flashed miui lp 8.0.6.0 modem file at android N.
currently using aicp 20161116 and i have good reception signal like on miui. everything also working properly for me.
you can try it, just take care with your bootloader. after flashing firmware, check it at fastboot. if locked, you can directly unlock it using mi unlock took.

extract miui firmware and search non-hlos.bin file, this is modem file. you can flash it using fastboot or flash it using twrp.
you can download this flashable modem file and replace non.hlos.bin file at firmware update folder with your own file.

how to revert back from rr

I have twrp3.0.2 , rr-25th April build .
I downloaded miui 8.5.3 recovery file. Can I just flash it like I did with Resurrection Remix ? Or I have to it the fastboot way only??
are you officially unlocked?
if yes flash the zip via twrp followed by flashing lazyflasher..
if your are unofficially unlocked delete aboot file from the firmware folder and then flash it along with lazy flasher

you are forced to delte the aboot file as you had done the unlocking in the unofficial way....
nb:- your bootloader is outdated..as unofficial one is based on lollipop.. i would sugest you to flash latest fastboot rom and unlock via mi flash tool:good:

Outdated bootloader, hmm. Yes, I think it's the problem as someon else also suggested to first upgrade to latest global stable ROM and then unlock. But how to do that? I googled it, but can't find any method. There's negative comments on every one of the threads. Help me out in this ?

I apologise I didn't tell my problem correctly. I know how to flash stock ROM from mi flash, but what I don't know is how to unlock bootloader from latest ROM. ?
Is there any way apart from official method?

Already tried that. Got permission in 3 hours. But miunlock gets error at 99 %. " Account not bound to this device, go to dev options -> mi status -> add account". Did that too, but gives 8612 and something in Chinese error.

Thanks. What I want to do is either update to latest RR ROM, or to revert back to miui because 25-04 Resurrection build is a lil bit buggy. And the problem while updating to latest build is it gets stuck on "get Resurrected" animation. Same goes for NitrogenOS. Currently, I'm on 25-04 RR build, and it's working okay-ish with some bugs. Now, on asking this stuck animation here on another thread, someone said to upgrade bootloader by unlocking in miui 8. But there's no unofficial way...
On which ROM did you unlock officially? Global stable or global dev or China ROM. Also provide the miui version. I will try to flash that ROM and re-unlock

After flashing fastboot rom, phone will stuck at bootlogo for much longer than normal. So my suggestions is to wait for it to bootup, at least 20-30min.

For us indians, global builds is for us.
You can have the developer or the stable global versions zip file.
Now make sure you use redwolf recovery, because installation of these zips from stock twrp is not really supported. If you install the global build, the recovery and root will be removed, so then you'll need to install recovery using fastboot. But if you install the dev version, it does not removes the recovery but still root is removed, which you can get by installing magisk.

Choose your firmware , correct version (global, EEA, China, Russia) and build:
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/davinci/
Check this forum (use search function) for flashing stock firmware.
You should know that there are two different kinds, recovery firmware to flash from TWRP (.zip ending) or fastboot firmware (.tgz ending) to flash by fastboot or Mi tool).
