Hello guys. Recently i bought a XZ1 ti replace my good but old Z3. I tried to restore my data(contacts, sms etc) from my previous phone with success. The only thing not possible to transfer was wifi networks. I tried xperia companion, xperia transfer and backup from sd..All with no success. Do you have any idea? Has anyone transfer wifi networks with success?

Hello,
I've a Xperia Go and I've done a backup with Sony Bridge for Mac (release 3.3).
My Mac OS X is 10.8.5.
When I restore the backup, the software restore all except the contacts and the call history. No problem for the call history but the lack of contacts it's unacceptable.
I have copied all data directories so I have the right file to extract. In which way can I extract the contacts?
I've found only instructions to extract data from Windows version of PC Companion.
Thank you in advice to all and sorry for my english!
P.S.
In my Mac, the release after 3.3 of Sony bridge can't make a backup. The voice menĂ¹ is in "ghost mode".
Hi - are you still having problems with this issue?

Yes. Also with the latest version of Sony Bridge for Mac.
I think I have tried everything to transfer my Tab Z to a new Z2: Both are on the latest O/S.
1) I have tried to back up the old tab but when I "migrate" the data to the new, I get a failure message telling me the backup file is faulty and that I should re-do the backup
2) I have tried the Transfer app and the two devices get to the point of talking but then I get a message that they failed to pair
3) I have tried NFC but I get the same "failed to pair" message.
Am I missing something? Is there a setting I need to change on either machine?
Oh, and I don't want to root!
Cheers
Try helium for app transfer with data. For everything else, you logging into Google account should take care of it with auto sync
Got it, many thanks
Hey All,
I have a xperia tablet z, LG G2 and galaxy S3 (soon to be upgraded to S6 or maybe the xperia z4 when it comes out) all of which are rooted. I have been thinking about encryption. I have a couple of question. If I encrypt my tablet/phone am I still be able to plug it into a computer and transfer files, say like if I have a word doc from work and I edit it on my tablet, can I then transfer back to my computer via both the cord and email? Next question what is the best encryption method out there. Is it the stock encryption on most Android OS's or is there a better software version I can DL?
thanks in advance.
Hey, I have an old Sony Xperia Tipo running on 4.0.4. Recently its touchscreen stopped working and I cannot access anything stored on the phone. Is there any way to recover Contacts information from it? I've tried everything but couldn't manage it... Is there any way I can access those files trough adb and pull them? the phone doesn't have neither recovery or fastboot. Maybe some exploit would do the trick?
