USB Drivers?

Everytime I connect my phone to my laptop, a window pops up saying "Lenovo PC Suite" and then I'd try to install it or open it but nothing ever happens. So I tried to open what's inside it, it had 3 applications, Lenovo PC Suite, Chinese Mobile Assistant, and USB Drivers 1.0.1.0 . But only the mobile assistant program installs, the 2 doesn't work. The case is that I've been asking how to root my S223 device, people said I can use VRoot and Genotool, but they doesn't work because I think I don't have the USB Drivers installed, Genotool btw is in Chinese? I can't use it. VRoot is a one click root way but it doesn't recognize my phone, it would display "??P780??" When connected.
Please, if anyone could teach me how to get and install the latest USB Drivers for my P780, that would really help me a lot. Please help me ? . Thanks in advance.

I really can't seem to install the drivers so I would do that flash thing to get back to S214. But your tutorial about that was not newbies like me T^T you used terms that I'm not familiar with. And for the 8GB version, you said that it was the same steps, but I didn't know where to save the files, if it should be in my phone or in my laptop? Please if it's not a big trouble, provide a step by step tutorial for people like me who doesn't know so much about these things ?? thanks in advance and for all the help.

Sorry for all of the questions ?.
Can you specify what drivers you are talking about installing? I'm getting confused. And at step 10, what ROM? Is that the Original Recovery or TWRP or the S214?
I'm very sorry for bothering you almost everyday ? and thanks again for all the help.

This is so confusing, at my earlier post, you said I could get back into S214, you gave me a link to downloading the Recovery files and the ROW_S214. I successfully downloaded the recovery files but the S214 file kept saying Unknown Network Error. Now my question is how do I get back to S214? ? this new link you gave me was for S222. ? my plan really is to get back to S214 then flash to LiFe ROM then flash to SLX rom or AOSP rom. Please! I want to flash to S214.

I've read from other forums and sites how to flash. Now my last question, can I flash the LiFe ROM while I'm on S223? Or do I need to go back to S214? If I can flash the LiFe ROM directly on S223 then I'd just do that then go to SLX ROM. Is it possible?

In another tutorial, they said I had to flash LiFe v0.3/0.x+ first so I can flash SLX. Can I directly flash SLX v25e? Because your thread said that ROW isn't supported in SLX v26. So I should go with SLX v25e, but can I directly flash it from LiFe or should I flash v21 first?

Oh, so it's possible that I flash the SLX v25e directly from LiFe. I already got LiFe ROM then I flashed SLX v21 ROM from TWRP. It was successful, then booted and got to a lockscreen, after I unlocked it, something popped up saying an error about the Setup Wizard not being able to run or launch? So I flashed to LiFe ROM again :crying: can you send me a link to SLX ROM v25e for 8GB ROW? Maybe the SLX ROM I flashed was defective. I'd assume that it's just the same steps. Please just help me to a link for SLX ROM v25e or any v25 for 8GB ROW. Thanks for all the help:laugh::good:

Not fastboot , you should have a recovery from where you can wipe data and install roms , yes the old system memory will be lost ( of the sim one which you have tweaked ) there fore it'll start normal and it'll be working
See 1) how to unlock bootloader
2) how to install custom recovery for your device
3) how to install global ROM through that custom recovery

You enter recovery by holding power and volume up button it's a place where you can change roms and kernels and mostly install anything, it's not a file , it has a interface (basic) just see on YouTube how to use twrp , but you have to 1st unlock bootloader , follow the steps I gave with the help of YouTube

You have flashed , stock ROM that means on first boot twrp will be replaced by stock recovery unless you flashed VB meta zip to retain twrp.
You are from which region ? Coz realme released same phone in diff part of world with different internal partitions. If you flash wrong region ro m even though for same phone , it can break your phone. Check if you can go to service center.

Phone region Realme XT, if you flash firmware from Realme EUEX, then it will completely block, as I understand it, when flashing a different drain, the system board goes into defense and besides replacing it there is no way to restore the phone?

Flash official stock rom fix your problem

[AIO] Guide to Unlock bootloader , Flash TWRP and a Custom rom.

Unlocking Bootloader1. Make sure you have a sim and active mobile data. Then go to about phone tap build number 7-8 times. After that go to advanced settings > developer options > turn on OEM unlocking and then check if this device is secure and click add account and device.
2. Download Mi unlock tool from here. Extract it and paste it in C:/unlock. or else your device won't be recognized for unlocking.
3. Open Mi unlock tool and then enter the Mi account which was on your device. Put your device in fastboot mode by pressing vol- and power and then connect to PC. Press unlock and if it tells you to wait you have no other option but to wait. If your mi flash tool shows connect your device even after you have connected it. Follow this guide here.
4. After you have unlocked your bootloader reboot your phone.
Flashing TWRP and Rooting via magisk
1. Download this TWRP image here. Thanks to the original developer mauronofrio.
2. Download adb and fastboot tools here and install it.
3. Now put your phone in fastboot mode and connect it with your pc. Now where you have downloaded the TWRP file rename it to TWRP.img and open a CMD window there if you don't know how just google.
4. Type the following commands
1. fastboot devices
2. fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
3. fastboot reboot recovery.
Click to collapse
5. Your phone will boot into TWRP now. But TWRP will be overwritten by stock miui recovery to stop that you need to flash Magisk. Download this zip move it to internal storage then flash by tapping on install and swipe to flash. Reboot your device. Reboot to recovery again to check if TWRP is present.
Now your device is rooted
OR
Flash latest OrangeFox Recovery if you don't want magisk.
Flashing A rom
1. Download.
2. Flash.
3 Format Data.
Done
Feel free to ask any questions. And don't point a finger at me for messing your device.
My mi unlock tool says can't get info. I using Indian version miui 12
Thanks for the useful guide. I have a quick question, does this works with MIUI 12?

Okay keep the sim inserted and use the device for 7 days. And if it doesn't work try using older version of unlock tool.
Hi there!
Silly question: is it possible to install TWRP but keep the official ROM? (phone is unlocked)

Flashing a custom rom is optional. You don't NEED to flash a rom to get TWRP...
---------- Post added at 06:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:46 PM ----------
I've unlocked the bootloader using the unlock tool and waited for 7 days,
But i rooted the device using a different method where i patched a boot.img and flashed that to the device.
Will this method still work for me as I'm already rooted but just want TWRP so i can flash other ROMs.. The post says you have to flash magisk from the (temporary) TWRP for the TWRP to stay as the recovery..
Will the magisk on my phone and the magisk installed here collide?
I just want TWRP so i can switch to a custom rom, so any input is appreciated!!

Skip the flashing a rom part and you will be good to go.

You can flash twrp and then check if it persists. If not flash magisk again their is no thing as magisk colliding lol. Just make sure you flash a newer version. And if nothing works flash stock rom and then twrp.
If you have the stock boot IMG flash it and then intsall twrp and magisk.

Haha, makes sense! Thank you for your answers
Nevermind.. i got it to work pretty easily..
I have twrp on this device and Pixel Experience ROM and it's working all fine..
But there's this one thing where when booting to recovery, it asks me to input a password for User(0) when i try to input anything it says password failed..
From reading the log, it says it's for decrypting data(8f I'm not mistaken)
Is this important? Do i need to decrypt it?
Currently the ROM works fine with no errors, so I'm not gonna bother, but would still like to know what this "decrypting" thing is..

Yes, If you use a lock screen enter that password it will be decrypted. You will have to format data if you decide to flash any other rom anyway.
flashed twrp but not able to boot into recovery.

Hey buddy, thank you for this quick step-by-step guide. I flash ROMs since 2012 and you know what? It helped me the same. Having all stuff needed for go from stock to custom concentrated in one place (plus some useful tip like the Magisk flash at the end) it's always useful and time-saving. Thank you
2 Micro-notes about fastboot btw:
- write 'fastboot (with lowered 'f'): it may confuse some newbie
- it's 'reboot' instead of 'boot'

Stuck on Miui Android Oreo Xiaomi Mi 8 dipper

Can you acess TWRP?
If yes, connect your phone to PC and flash via ADB. If you dont know how to do it, use this tool (Program) and flash a new and compatible ROM with this tool.

the link you provide is for Poco F1
With the program i sent you you can flash original firmware to your phone.
Just plug your phone to PC then open fastboot mode ( POWER + DOWN) and then open the program, than flash original firmware!
Should work
