Outlook Mail 16006.10325.20091.0_arm - Windows 10 Mobile Apps. and Games

Hello,
I've got a Lumia 920 which I've updated to W10M (currently 10.0.14393.2363), using the great info I've found on this site. I updated to W10M since the LINE messaging app was no longer going to work on Windows Phone 8.1.
All was well and I was happy until the last Microsoft Store update of 'Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar' to version 16006.10325.20091.0. Now mail app opens and syncs, I can see the message list but when I try to open or create a message, I get a white screen as it starts to open the message, then mail crashes and I'm back to the phones start screen.
Mail was working fine with the previous version 16006.10228.20127.0. I've tried various different Mail app Reading Pane settings and I've done two hard resets of the phone. The first reset I restored my account and did all store updates, still had the same problem with mail. I thought when I did the second hard reset I could just not update the mail app, but it wouldn't work unless I updated it from the Store - then same problem. I've searched for some info on my problem but can't find anything.
I am currently getting email notifications from the mail app, but then using the Edge browser and the outlook webpage to read and send emails. It's an adequate workaround, but I wonder if anyone here knows how I could get the mail app working again.
I think(?) I understand that the Lumia 920 has an older graphics which is not supported by the later version of W10M, which is why I'm on Version 1607. Is it the graphics that is the problem? Any advice would be appreciated. Thankyou.

Thanks, I just tried another Store update, but it didn't find the later version.

I just dropped by to see in anyone else had this problem. It is exactly the same issue here with my Lumia 1020 (US version) and the update of 'Outlook Mail and Outlook Calendar' to version 16006.10325.20091.0. My L1020 is running under OS build 10.0.15254.490, a most recent one. Like you, I've tried a couple of full resets with the same results you observed, no fix. Basically, the headers for Outlook, Yahoo and other email systems are listed, but clicking on them simply gets the program closed.
Other steps tried so far included registry hacks found elsewhere here in XDA, using Interop Tools; no luck. I also just "rebranded" my L1020 to a L950 via the registry. That's not getting me anywhere different either.
Will keep searching and report back. Any ideas will be welcome.

Good point. I should have added that I tried returning to the Insider system but the phone is reporting error 0x0. My best guess is that we are no longer being accepted into the program (because they have nothing new for us). When I was still "activated", up to a few weeks ago, the updates being pushed were the same as for regular users.
BTW, these latest W10 updates are related to hardware security (CPU-related malware), I believe.

I have exactly the same problem since 1st august when the outlook mail and agenda app was updated to 16006.10325.20091.0 . I am using a Lumia 650 running W10M 10.0.15254.490.
Happy to read that I am nit the only one. It was reported in this forum that the latest version should be 16006.10325.20098.0, but not available.
Should we than wait untill it is being pushed from Microsoft, or is there faster way?
A smartphone without mail functionality is hardly smart!

Darn, the plot thickens then. My wife's Lumia 650 (same versions, Windows x.490 and Mail x.200910) is working fine, displaying Outlook mail as it should. Her 650 is dual SIM. Is yours dual also?
I am trying to get Mail version 16006.10325.20098.0. However, it sounds like I'll need to get back into Windows Insider, which I lost after the attempts to fix Mail via a phone reset.
At this point, after several attempts at reactivating Windows Insider in my L1020, the failure code changed from 0x0 to error 0x800bfa07. (At first, I jokingly named it the: "Stop bugging us, you dummy, or we'll brick your damn old phone!" warning error code )
A little research led to error 0x800bfa07 being related to a section in the registry.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfhost
Someone deleted it (in a PC) and this resulted in WI becoming available .
I wanted to try it right away but first I need to save that registry section in case I need to restore ir. It does not seem like Interop Tools provides a way to export keys.

Bummer, 2 more, with another 650 affected! My wife's 650 is doing fine but perhaps it is because of being dual SIM. Is yours single or dual?
Anyway, you could try joining the Windows Insider program with one of your Lumias. It sounds like they already have a new version in the wings. My own L1020 is being blocked from returning to WI for now, otherwise I could confirm this.

Very well, that may be part of the mystery. In the meantime, there is hope: Microsoft seem to be aware and trying to fix the issue. Yesterday, I finally got a new version of Mail/Calendar to upload via the Store (16006.10325.20106.0) .
It has not solved the problem at my end but it is encouraging to see something new. I still have to try a few things to see if I can make it work. For now, here is how I got it to refresh to the new version:
-- Erased all my email accounts, then a soft reset
-- Uninstalled Mail/Calendar, then a soft reset
-- Went to store and installed the app again.
-- In my case, the old version still installed (maybe I was a little "too early" for the new one?)
-- However, I promptly -- and without adding email accounts -- I simply asked Store to check for updates
This did it in my case but not all these steps may be required. Perhaps I was checking just as they were starting to deploy the new version.
As I said, the new app version is behaving just the same as the previous one: won't display the email body and it crashed while attempting such a request.
I'll keep testing approaches . Please do so also and report any observations.
(BTW, report the issue via the phones Feedback for Mail. They seem to be checking it.)

Was the previous version working in your 830?
Is this new version working fine now?
(And is it still miserably hot (weather) at your end? )

Workaround for the Outlook Mail app problem
The feedback I got from Microsoft community gives us a workaround for the problem of the Outlook Mail App.
For me it works fine, and I will wait for a udate fix!
I copy the entry for you all:
The latest update actually downgraded the app to an older version, a general fix is still being worked on.
Following temporary workaround has been reported as working:
Enable Rotation. Open Mail just the Inbox, turn to landscape.
If you use Text Scale it must be at min. 125 percent (Settings/System/Display)

WICKED, thanks! It WORKS!!! (On Lumia 1020 running the x.20106.0 mail version)
As long as it stays in landscape mode, the email body is displayed. If you turn the phone to portrait, it all vanishes. That's fine; it will do for now.

Super! Can't be totally sure yet but it is looking like the issue is not affecting dual SIM units.

Thanks for reporting. I was getting hopes that the dual SIM might make a difference that could be traced in code vs single SIM units. My wife's 650 dual SIM is not affected and neither are some friend's with dual SIM Lumia phones.
Hopefully, you can use the temporary workaround for now.
