Hi - Im in the US on T-Mobile & I recently bought the Mate 10 Pro International version - BLA-L29. I upgraded from Mate 9 MHA-L29 (US version) because I wanted 4G on both sims. EMUI = 8.0.0
Re-opening this question as I haven't seen any updates in a while for Group text option MMS on huawei messaging app
The option for Group Messaging setting is missing. Its there on the Mate 9 and missing on Mate 10. I want to set "send MMS to all recipients". I have the same EMUI and Messaging version on both phones but not there on the Mate 10. How is that possible?
Understand that the work around for Group Text is to go to Textra. I just have heartburn that it works on Mate 9 and doesn't even exist on Mate 10.
Any ideas if/when Huawei will fix this? I can't seem to find release notes or a known issues db. BTW - I called support and no help there...
Thanks for any guidance! Meanwhile, I'm dusting off the Mate 9...
yeah, i have the same issue. been using google messages. i thought it was like a bug or someting, factory resetted the phone a few times. So been using google/android message since.
Spoke to FunkyHuawei and they think this Group Messaging setting (send in bulk as an MMS chat) is a US-specific feature. That explains why I see it on my Mate 9 US and not on this Mate 10 International.
At this point (August 2018), the option is to use FunkyHuawei tools to rebrand my BLA-L29 from the International version to the US version. That keeps the dual sim and adds the US features.
I like that I have an option (thanks to FunkyHuawei)! In the end, instead of rebranding, I went ahead and installed Textra as my default app and group messaging is finally working again.

I have a redmi note 4 "international edition." I noticed when I receive group texts, I don't see all the members of the text, and I can only reply to the sender.. Stock MIUI 8.5, android Nougat.
Before I start on a fool's errand, is there some way to get group texts to work? I noticed even with facebook messanger as my sms I still am not getting anything besides the sender in the list of recipients. Is there something I can enable, or if I use a custom ROM would I be able to somehow unlock this? So far I love the battery life, but this might be a dealbreaker.

Hi, i regularly use ringo application for international calling, its got bith ios and android apps, advnage with android is that i select international number to call, automatic call intercept function kicks in and ringo opens up, giving me option to make a call through app instead, ios obviously does not have this function. Mate 10 pro this automatic call intercept does not work, I am sure its emui problem, but dont know how to get around it!! any one have any ideas, Ringo customer service is pretty much useless.
Hello all,
I'm with an Honor 9 and I know, like others P10, that RCS service should be working as it is running in my apps services (system).
But it's not working.
Some one with an unlocked Honor 9 have it running fine?
Note: for the ones that don't know - RCS it's like having your SMS working like a chat with the ability of sending pictures sounds and deliver/read receipts.
Thanks
Just logged on to ask the same thing and found this. I've not been able to get it working (Chat features unavailable for this device).

Hello, I have a problem with Android message since I received my S21. I am trying to validate my phone number to activate rcs chat messages but my phone number does not validate.
Has anyone ever encountered the problem ?
RCS is only supported in Google Messages, no other apps. Feature is provided by Google Servers only, carriers are not on board yet.

On the s20 and euro s21 there are ways to enable samsung messages rcs. No workaround for the US S21 at this point
Check this reddit thread, i activated rcs in my s21

During the Huawei Mate 40 Pro launch, the CEO announced that Huawei Email will bring a "Email Conversation Mode". Does anyone have this on their phones?
I don't see such thing on my phone but I can suggest Nine as email client. Pretty cool, I've been using it for a long time.

Hi I checked the Huawei Email app after reading your question and yes I have the conversation feature and I really like it. It loads the messages very similarly to the sms app. I must admit I prefer this view. I added all of my accounts to the app and so far so good. the version I have is 11.0.0.140 on the Mate 40 Pro in Ireland.

Thats cool. I don't seem to have that feature yet. Possible to share the Huawei Email app APK? I would like to try the conversation feature on my Mate Xs. My Huawei Email App version is only 11.0.0.134
Recently I had to add an account in the email app and it was giving me hints that I have "Conversation mode". Now in Settings there is option "Viewing mode" and it has "Standard" and "Conversation".
