Galaxy Mega 6.3 FM radio

I know that 3G version has FM Radio but LTE version doesn't have it. Is it because of the hardware or the radio chip is already inside but it doesn't show in the OS like the Nokia Lumia phones?
Even though Mega 6.3 and S4 mini has the same processor, S4 mini LTE version has FM Radio but Mega 6.3 LTE version doesn't have it.

Any Chinese phablets that work in US 4G LTE?

I am looking for a phablet 5.5-6.0 inch, sd card, removable battery, 13 mp or better camera, 32GB, 4GB Ram and I found a couple that are close to these specs, but I can't determine whether they are compatible with Tmobile US 4G LTE network (data and voice). Can anyone help point me in the right direction? TIA

Typically, Chinese phones of the ilk you're probably looking at won't have North American LTE bands. You need at the least band 4 (1700/2100) and band 2 (1900). Even more unlikely to have band 12, but apparently the phone needs to be certified by T-Mobile anyway, for VoLTE compatibility.

Lg gpad v520

Contemplating buying either an unlocked ATT model or TMO model.
If I use my current TMO voice and data sim card in the T Mobile version of this tablet will they block data access and force me to buy a tablet plan?
I think my TMO voice and data sim will work on the unlocked ATT model but I'd lose text message function and other things ?
Hi,
I know this is old, but for anyone else who's looking...
I have T-Mobile, and have both the V521 (T-Mobile) and V520 (AT&T) tablets.
The V521 (T-Mobile) has:
Gold case, white screen bezel
Ability to send & receive texts
Ability to use tablet as hotspot
Microsoft Office Word & Excel
Android™ 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Can upgrade Android to Version 7.0
Rear-facing camera 5MP, 2560 x 1920
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Version 4.2 LE
LTE Bands 2/3/4/7/12
Battery Capacity 4,650 mAh
Internal Memory 16 GB (up to 9.18 GB usable)
Wi-Fi® Connectivity 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Wi-Fi Direct® File Sharing
The V520 (AT&T) has:
Dark blue case, black screen bezel
Cannot send & receive texts
Cannot use tablet as hotspot
"Think Free Office" version 4.70 by Hancom, instead of Microsoft Office. (Think Free is an old version, can't upgrade it.)
Android™ 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Can only upgrade Android to Version 7.0 if using an AT&T SIM card
Rear-facing camera 8MP, 3264 x 2448
Bluetooth® Wireless Technology Version 4.2
LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/12/29/30
Battery Capacity 4,800 mAh
Internal Memory 32 GB (up to 22.1 GB usable)
Wi-Fi® Connectivity 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/i/r

When used as an eReader or wifi tablet, other than Office, I don't notice any difference. I don't use the camera much, and I have a microSD memory card installed, so the memory difference doesn't affect me.
I don't have a newer wifi router, so the extra bands on AT&T don't give me anything extra, nor do the extra LTE bands.
Having only Android™ 6.0.1 Marshmallow does give me a problem sometimes, when adding or upgrading apps that require 7.0.
When using on LTE, using the T-Mobile is far better. I use texting all the time, and the AT&T doesn't allow for texting. My T-Mobile plan gives me plenty of data, so I do use the hotspot, and not having it on the AT&T is annoying.
Overall, despite the extra memory and better camera, I prefer the T-Mobile V521 far more than the AT&T V520.

We were able to see and pair the Headset with several other phones;
- iPhone 7
- Redmi
- Etc
With Variants of Android 7 and Android 8.1
ALSO able to pair mpow Cheetah BT 4.1 also with this phone.
So whats with this weird stand off just between this Phone & Headset?
Tried several hard reboots and disabling all other BT stuff around. Detection is there when pairing it just tries and does not. Nothing else.
What could be the issue here?

Model dependent GNSS support?

Hi all,
I bought a spare Z5 Compact recently, it is a UK model with stock firmware "Customized UK" (1298-5497). I'm living in Germany and already have a German Telekom version of the Z5C, which is running the latest LOS 17.1. This phone is utilizing GPS, GLONASS and BDS satellite systems without any issues. With the UK model of the phone however, I am only able to get signals of GPS and GLONASS satellites.
I've tried flashing different ROMs, including a German Telekom stock ROM, but it did not solve the GNSS issue. Both phones are E5823 and use the same baseband version. According to the serial no., the UK phone should even be "newer" than the German one.
So question is - could this really be a phone model with different hardware, or will it be possible to make the phone utilize BDS satellites by software/firmware modifications?
Any advise or suggestions are much welcome!
Cheers,
r.
As well as there are devices that are using different 4G (LTE) bands, there might be devices that uses different gps bands.
But that's a guess, though.
