Hi,
I know that this issue have been discussed before, but I would like to know if there is any news about a solution to the problem.
I have two mobile phones (Samsung S6 edge & HTC one M7 - both rooted), that I have tried to get it to work on, without any luck
On the Samsung I have tried to edit the "\system\bin\lpm" file with this code: "#!/system/bin/sh" + "/system/bin/reboot" - That made the phone unstable and sometimes lock-up
On the HTC, I have tried to run the "Fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0" command, but this model do not know that command
If I just could get one of the phones to power-up when charged, it wouldbe great
Can someone please help with a solotion to the problem :fingers-crossed:
Many regards
MrNisse

Hey guys,
I know this topic has been asked by quite a few people. I've looked at them already and I know it differs by the make of the phone.
Specifically, I found this post on stackoverflow where the OP deletes a file called "charger_only_mode" which seems to do the trick for him. However, my phone just stays stuck on the Motorola boot logo when I plug it into a wall once this file is removed. Has anyone else had success doing the method he suggests?
The alternate way I assume would be to find where the battery charging animation is called and just replace that with some bash command to reboot the device with the correct permissions. Where is the location of the files that call the battery animation when charging from a dead battery?
Putting such a command into a regular init script would not be possible so I'm not sure what else to do, any suggestions would be great!
Solution
Solution was to type "fastboot oem off-mode-charge 0" with it plugged in
Hi,
So as you've seen my phone is bricked, I can't reboot it by ANY way, it just vibrate when I try PWR + VOL+/-.
I looked a bit everywhere, and I find this -> http://www.droidgyan.com/soft-brick-vs-hard-bricked-vs-broken/#
But I need to know :
-Anyone has ever tried this ?
-is it a good solution ?
-is-there any better or easier way to get my phone back to life ?
And I repeat, I tried everything I found on others threads, every combination of buttons, nothing worked. So if you know a way like this, be sure it's not on every soft/hard brick forums, I've done them all ;p
And sorry for my english, I just hope everything is understandable.
Same here Have you find one solution ?
From experience with other devices that looks logical, I wouldn't like to be the first to try it though!! Might be worth trying insurance or taking it back to the shop you bought it from to see if you can get it swapped using the playing dumb card (I turned my phone on today and it just had a blank screen) that worked for mine when it was pre loader busted like this!
Hi!
I'm in the same situation.... i've got an Honor 7 (PK-AL10), i tryed to recover it but when i do fastboot flash system SYSTEM.img the system replies with "error: cannot load 'SYSTEM.img': Value too large for defined data type".
Help me!!
Have anyone tried to connect the phone to a windows PC, and Power+lower volume?
Also you may try with the phone plugged to USB, Power until the phone vibes for booting, wait 5 seconds and then Power again. And then try to boot the fastboot USB connected.
I don´t know but I´ve read in 2~3 places that powering the phone while USB connected sometimes enables booting in dead-phone situations.
Hi! my name is Eric and im new to xda, i´ve been rooting and flashing roms, doing this and that on various phones ranging from samsung galaxy ace 2 to zte blade l2... my girlfriend not too long ago broke my phone and was so kind to buy me a new one.
This phone is a Zte Z852, says Cricket on the back and i´ve heard names along the lines of Fanfare 3 and Kelly, but i do not know what those mean or if they´re even related.
Now, the phone comes with a Recovery Mode, and a Factory Test Mode.
Rebooting to Bootloader just resets normally
Rebooting to Bootloader via ADB and rebooting to Fastboot via ADB also resets the phone normally.
It does come with a oem unlocking option, which has been enabled since day 1, and usb debugging which has also been enabled.
ADB devices does recognize btw.
From what i´ve heard and investigated it is a "Carrier Device" however im not perfect with my english since im from Venezuela and the only thing i´ve learned of the word carrier is something along the lines of the sim and signal related stuff.
So, me not being able to access Bootloader just means im stuck as is? im coming up with some ideas but i would like some professional opinion first:
1.- I´ve seen some Unofficial Bootloader unlocking methods, if Bootloader is not there would that just Brick?
2.- While looking for stock roms i found there are no roms for this device, there are however roms for previous devices with same specs, can i risk it for the biscuit and flash?
3.- Even if none of those are viable, i still wanted to ask how to root this, literally one click stuff failed on apk side and on pc side, tried king kingo frama genius EVERYTHING. you name it, i´ve done it.
PD: I am willing to risk hard brick for the sake of progress on these devices, im really surprised they were just forgotten.
I've been getting help on this over at Hovatek, but it's extremely slow going; I first posted there on December 11 and it's still not resolved. This phone is a former Lifeline phone, and I've been trying to get it rooted so that I can use the Tello SIM I obtained. The problem the phone was having is that it refused to do any updates, so Tello's troubleshooting as to why it wasn't detecting the SIM was completely halted.
I did finally get to the point of rooting it. The major problem I have now is that it will only boot to fastboot mode. I can get it into recovery mode, but I get the dead android with "no connection" under it, and I've tried everything the internet has suggested to get past that, and it won't. Additionally, any fastboot command (apart from "fastboot devices") I try in ADB returns "FAILED (remote: 'unknown command'). I don't know how to get it into EDL mode from fastboot. I've tried every button combo possible, and the only one that does anything different is power + volume up, which changes it to a bright white screen. At this point I just want to do a hard reset so I can take another go at the rooting process, but the phone doesn't seem to want to allow me to. I would appreciate any help with this; I don't have a working phone at the moment because of these issues.

Yes, that's my original post from back in November. That post is no longer my problem, though I will set your response there aside for when I hopefully get the phone to do anything besides fastboot.
it's clearly same topic, you must not open new thread. add your second post to previous one so mods can delete this thread.
It's clearly not. It's the same phone, but a different problem. The old post was seeking help with rooting it (and got no action, you may note), this one is about getting it out of fastboot mode so I can reset the damn thing and try again.
you bricked that device as a result of trouble with rooting. all info belongs to the previous thread, so others can read the history that caused this situation. I am not arguing any further here. answer in other thread and close this one.

Here is the full firmware for the U683CL. Be sure to wipe the userdata and cache because I dumped the firmware from the same phone from a guy for $5 and it still has the guy's data and it contains pretty weird things...

Hello,
So I tried to flash a global rom into my chinese GT 2 pro which didn't actually work, and in the process of fixing this and having to go to work etc the phone battery died and now that I have all the resources to "unbrick" the phone I can't flash anything because of the low battery and I can't charge the phone because it won't even load the recovery mode. I am trying the .bat file that I found in this forum where it charges rebooting the fastboot mode but it's charging 2mv every 3.5 minutes and if my maths are correct, this would take me 2 months to charge to 30% in order to flash anything which obviously is not viable . And I've seen suggestions about splitting a cable and charging the battery with the wires directly but I can't find any information on how to actually do this. Would this work at all? Or is there anything I can do? Please give me some hope! Thank you all in advance
boot into TWRP from fastboot and let it charge
I have tried this but still not working. It's says OKAY after "sending boot" but nothing happens, just a black screen. Although I'm not completely sure that I'm doing this right or even using the right image. Would you be able to guide me with this a bit further please?
try this to disable start-up on usb
Code:
fastboot oem off-mode-charge 1
fastboot oem enable-charger-screen
Thank you, I will try this tomorrow and update either way in case it helps someone else (because hopefully it does work! )
Hello all, so those codes didn't work. I got a guy to try and unbrick it who in the attempt to do so he actually hard bricked it I had given up at this point but he didn't. He wanted to try a test point which involves opening the back of the phone, which actually worked! (Apparently we tried to flash the wrong ofp) anyway, in the process of opening the back case I damaged the power flex (and the actual back case too, but I wasn't too worried about that as I thought I had no phone anyway).... I would attempt to replace both but I can't find where to buy replacements. If I try to google it everything I find is for realme gt neo. Any ideas where I can find a new power flex and back cover? Thank you!
