Welcome to oreo port for our Samsung Galaxy S6. New version has been realesed. Check changelog for see the news of update. This firmware is based on A8 (2016) oreo stock rom, tweaked and edited to be working on our devices. Read informations here to know how to install, update and other useful things. Screenshots are in screenshot section of the thread. In first post (this) you can check all infos about the rom and download it. The downloadable file is just one because the zip is multitarget. To discover if your device is supported check the kernel thread in "supported devices" section (here) and leave a thanks to @prashantp01 for his amazing work. In second post you can see the changelog and the ROM-Uninstaller, made to clean your device from all things which do not need. In third one, you can get useful links to get support if you will meet some troubles or make a little to donate to me.​

HOW TO UPDATE:​

*Install add-ons you need;

ROM UNINSTALLER:​This rom installs files which are not removable with a simple wipe; then we need a ROM Uninstaller (Download section)
The uninstaller script will make the phone ready to flash other roms, only thing you need to do is Wipe data, option not included in the zip. It is made for uninstall this oreo tw rom, just flash it!

F.A.Q.​Q: When I install the rom, the aroma stucks at 90%. What to do?
A: On aroma installer, don't select to install magisk. Install it separately.
Q: I found a bug not listed. How can I report it to the developer?
A: Quote the OP in the thread and describe the bug. Remember to give the Logcat.
Q: My device is not supported yet. How can I ask to add support?
A: Contact OP on pm giving necessary informations.
Q: Can I install other kernel instead of the one which is included?
A: You can install anything you want on your device. Anyway don't report bugs or issues if using custom mods/kernel.
Q: I get a random reboot. How to fix?
A: Take the kmsg.txt log and send it to the OP.
Q: I don't see an update from a long time. What's going on?
A: If you don't see any update since a long time, it's just because of my studies. I use my free-time for this rom.

Can't test right now, but will try out in the next few days
Quick (maybe dumb) question: wouldn't it be far easier to take a debloated stock A8 Oreo ROM, and port it, instead of a pure stock one? I mean, wouldn't that get rid of some potential problems that might arise down the road? Again, probably dumb question and I don't know anything about porting, but was just wondering if that wouldn't be a bit easier.

SM-G925F This rom is so bad as in like it is fast but when I turn off my phone in standby when i put it on the screen goes all weird like its black you cant see nothing, so I switched back to my Ultimate nougat rom which im so glad i backed up, i mean its great to see oreo roms for s6 but this one has major issues im not installing this rom till its stable and at its final release when camera and etc are working, so this rom isnt bad but it has issues i hope in a month or two a stable release of this rom is made

Why even post? It boots fine for me.
You've obviously done something wrong. People will be more willing to help you if you explain what you have already done to troubleshoot the issue yourself, and if you give as much information about your device as possible.
ROM looks great and runs fast (on G920F). Auto-rotate doesn't appear to be working but I have a feeling it might actually have something to do with the Camera bug.

You're probably having more issues than I was because the G925F is using an Alpha kernel. Very promising to see TouchWiz on Oreo on S6 up and running though. Nice work Manok98 and others

This post is very unnecessary with this stage of a rom...even if you installed this ALPHA rom and decided to post something here it would be very helpful to take a logs and help with further development...

As said in first post rom boots ONLY if you follow steps pinned in relative section.

Hi, I developed this kernel. What we really need, instead of being told every 5 minutes what I already know, is logs.
Please, if you install the Edge kernel, take logs!

Quick question, has anybody tried another camera app, just in case? To the Devs, amazing work!!!!! Is the camera likely to be a long fix or should I just wait for the next version before flashing? There is a newer CRG4 ROM as you probably already know. Perhaps it fixes some of the issues.
