missing market apps on nook tablet

I rooted my nook tablet with the SnowballMod root and everything is working fine, but some of the apps in the android market are missing. I have tried editing the build.prop file and clearing the market data and cache to spoof the market, but it still wont work. does anybody have ANY ideas?
theres not some, more like a lot and thats normal cuz its happening to everyone. apps that dont appear on the market have to be downloaded as .apk files and then transferred to your nooks sd card i use drop box and es file explorer for this procedure
how would i do this? how close are the people to fixing this and being able to install custom roms? i need facebook.
sideloading if it is not working from market.

It's not technically broken. The market should not show you apps for which your device does not meet the requirements. That doesn't meet they don't work, but that you have to install them another way. After updating my phone to ICS, I had to sideload Tapatalk, since it is not "technically" compatible with ICS, even though it does work.

1) Use the web app (it's pretty good, and doesn't have any background processes)
2) Look for the thread in the App section titled "[download] Facebook, Twitter and Google+ apk"

[Q] Couldn't install application? -.-" Out of Space

Hi
Recently I uninstalled PowerAmp. However, when I tried to reinstall an upgraded version of it, I can't as the installer came out with the out of space error. However, the problem is that I have enough space in my phone. (Confirm have space one). I also tried installing different versions of the apk but it still doesn't work. Other bigger apps apk work fine except all the different version of PowerAmp.
Here's a catlog at the bottom.
Hi. Exact Same problem here
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 2
Go to data/app, delete com.maxmzp(poweramp) ...... something along that line. I can't remember the full name. So find the filename in data/app that has the same app as what you're trying to install
Root explorer
Go to /data/app
Del this line
com.maxmpz.audioplayer-1.odex
I have the same issue but with maildroid.
Any suggestions?

Uninstall whatever installed maildroid.
Delete maildroid.odex located in data/app.
Reinstall ...Done.
To everyone asking what to do with other apps. If you did a patch to that app, there might be a .Odex created in data /app as said above. Just go there and delete it.
Applies to ALL APPS

Thanks, it solved my problem... I'm new to XDA.
Problem solved
go to your File Manager and select your Ext. SDcard. delete some unused and unnecessary files to free the space on your ext. sdcard. Install it again, it will work.

Dead App Scrubber or System Cleaner???

I've noticed with a lot of cleaning app's they leave behind unused folders and files of app's that have since been removered and started up a small graveyard so to speak of these app's and their directories...
Is there an app that will inspect your installed app's and then clean and free up space according to what's installed and what's uninstalled but left behind?
Thanks

Do you have root access? Then maybe with a root app uninstaller like Clean Master, there's a few others out there, then a root explorer and delete the left over folders and then running something like SD Maid to clean up what might've been left behind.

Thanks, yea I've been using this for quite awhile, some other options I don't get really but Corpse Finder is pretty good. I wish there was just a corpse finder app all by itself, sometimes I find myself not needing all those extra features.

I do not have ROOT phone, I was the root application using Clean Master, but inside my phone program and can not uninstall it, can uninstall my own installed programs.

Yea in order to uninstall system apps you need to root your phone.
System Apps - Preinstalled by the Rom/Firmware
User Apps - Apps you install yourself

Should I delete the base.apk files?

By using root explorer, I found base.apk files of each and every app I installed from Google Play Store. Those are not system app. The file size of those base.apk files are same as shown in the play store app info tab. I think those are the apk files which are downloaded to install the apps and won't affect anything if I delete them. BUT I'm not sure about that and that's why I need advice from someone who has experience about this....
As long as you have installed the app, I don't think it matters if you delete the apk

Thanks for the reply. I don't want to take any risk. I want to make sure that there won't be any problem if I delete them....
That file(base.apk) is used by applications like shareit or other app backup apps to backup/share the apk file(the one of which base.apk belongs to). So, keep that in mind and do whatever you want

Anyone else upgrade to android 11 and unable to install apks?

So I've narrowed this down to being an issue with install unknown app permissions. In my list I only have a select few apps and none of the apps request permission when they try to install. Furthermore if I click show system applications nothing more shows.
Anyone else run into this?
Thanks
Dave

Not sure but if the apks that you are trying to install require writing to the Android\data, Android\media or Android\obb directories then you have a problem on Android 11. I've tried apks that need to write data here and they won't install. Android 11 has made these directories read only :-( except for official Google playstore apps. Android 10 allowed writing to them from any app.

Scoped storage is an iPhone nightmare come true. Not needed and a system burden.
Big sister Gookill thinks you're too stupid to keep your phone secure.
Pie was the last good Android OS... Android has been in a high G flat spin since then and is descending faster with each new version.

No idea the destination path but they install just fine in an app which ALREADY is listed in install unknown apps. Anything that isn't never requests permission and it never added to this area to be able to modify the permission. It may have been the app i was trying to use (older version of ES file explorer) was too old to request the correct permission.

Many older pre-scoped storage era apps won't load on 11. Updated ones should.
Even with Android 10 there's a lose of functionality; for instance Karma Firewall loses its useful logging feature and trusted overlay apps are gutted.

Yeah I put a newer version of ES file explorer on and it did request the permissions. My fault, sorry to bother you all.
