I enabled Google backup for my pics .. But in the Google photos app, the backed up pictures are not backed up as folders .. so all my Snapseed edited photos are mixed up with screenshots and normal ones and I can't find them... Is there any way for them to be sorted by as they were in the folders in the phone?

I was trying to get rid of Drop Box and other Picasa folder that was randomly created by cleaning the Camera app cache and it started to delete all my pictures one by one in about a minute.
But all my photos are still in DCIM folder and some other picture folders in SDCARD directory.
It's just that my stock gallery app can't find them, so it says I have 0 images...
I went to settings and looked at option like Backup and Restore as well as Account & sync (only has an option for Google Photos but this doesn't seem to be it). I disabled Backup and Restore by default.. I enabled them for a day but didn't do anything.
Is there a way to back up the pictures? Things like bookmark, contacts, pictures automatically backed up whenever I flashed new ROM or update them, but it seems like my phone deleted all of them this time...
Please help me out!
Everytime I flash a new ROM I have to start from square 0 with contact pictures. Does anyone knows a method to use the saved contacts (with nice pictures) from previous ROM in the new ROM and keep the contact's nice pictures size previously saved? I tried:
- MyBackup pro
- Titanium Backup
- Save the contacts folder from data/data and paste it to the new ROM
None of the above was working: everytime I had small contact pictures in the Contacts.
Thank you.
My contacts are backed up to google. Therefore when I flash a new rom and log into google all my contacts and pictures are there.
Yes I agree with you. But when you restore contacts from Google into your phone, the contacts pictures are resized to 96x96 even in your phone the picture was full size. This is my problem. How to restore the contacts in the new ROM and keep the contacts pictures at the full size.
Best regards.
My auto backup is turned on for Google Photos. Any pictures I take on my phone automatically get uploaded to my Google Photos online. If I go through my Gallery app (not my Photos app) and delete pics, will they also be deleted from my Google Photos online next time I sync?

Funny how no one has addressed this yet. People are fooled by the numerous videos on Youtube on how to remove the photos. But all those videos show the exact same instructions which only remove the photos from syncing to that device. It does not delete them. Once you buy a new phone, those photos will show up again.
I would like to know where they are coming from..
Hi,
I installed Google Photos on my PC and let it upload my pics from a specific pics folder.
I have sub folders inside this pics folder , and every folder is documented with name (for example : "David birthday at Britney's garden").
The problem :
Now, everything is being upload to Google Photos , without the folder and folders name and I have a mass of thousand of photos without any order.
Am I doing something wrong here ?
Thanks ! :good:

Nope.... Google photos does that. You'll have to make albums all over again on google photos. Likewise, I dont believe this is the place for questions like these.
Thanks, do you know which sub forum should I post this thread?
I've had problems with Google photos myself. My problem is the difficulty getting your photos out. I switched to Dropbox for this reason. It's hard out even impossible to manage and control photos on Google.
You right, it's impossible to recreate albums for all of my photos in Google Photos, I have hundreds of them, this is not clever thing from Google to grab all photos into one big mass !
Use amazon or another service. I use Dropbox because I trust them to secure my stuff. Google and all the other companies mind your data to some extent.
So I was using FilmicPro and attempted to move the files out of the app. Files disappeared. Some amazing shots no less. Any way to recovery files without root with an app or Windows program that isn't a total scam?
Maybe you can find the photos backed up online? Do you have online Google Photos backup for photos taken? My Google Photos asks if I want to back up video and pictures from various apps also, like WhatsApp or Facebook. It's not just backing up the DCIM folder.
Also as an Amazon Prime member and Dropbox user, I have photos automatically backed up to those locations also.
