This is impressive no mather how you look at it!
Not really a must see, the thread title pretty much sums it up. Did you really have to make the video over 6 minutes long?
Made me motion sick in 15 sec flat....you need to learn how to hold the camera still
Why does it sometimes say that the videos I try to play "are not optimized for mobile"? These videos stutter like hell. Is that caused by flash player on my phone or is it just the video or site?

Haha that is great. I now wonder about 4 x 1080p.

I think that means YouTube hasn't converted them to the right format to play fluidly on mobile devices. This would imply that what you're seeing on your SGS2 is a different video file to what Mr Average Joe would get on his laptop - YouTube still has to help the mobile players more than the desktop players!
i love watching 4 videos at the same time
The limit is about playing GoldenEye 007 on N64oid... that really stresses the device

I seriously hope that is sarcasm......
nice but i will never watch four video's at the same time
The best money i ever spend on a device was SII!
Awesome. Thanks Pachi.
I'm proud because I'm own this phone. I think is powerfull phone at the moment. Also I did some picture today with phone and with sony 12 mp camera. Just to compare, very nice picture took with phone. Before this phone I had htc desire hd and optimus 2x, both 8mp camera. But picture on sgs2 is much better. This is my opinion.
Just have a couple questions for Android owners with kids.
I've created an app that plays kids videos from YouTube that I've found to be appropriate for children (hasn't been published yet). I've currently searched and found 60+ videos that would be ok and the list would certainly increase over time.
The app doesn't use the YouTube player so that the child cannot find inappropriate videos after watching their selection. Using the back button will only get them back to the app and when the video is done playing it will also return to the app. The app wouldn't have ads either. So, it is a little safer way to turn a kid loose allowing them to watch videos.
Would this be of interest to you? If so, would you be willing to pay for it? If no, why not?
I think many parents can be interested, since it's an easier way to entertain your children that convert and copy the videos manually.
You can sell it for few money (<5 usd? a good price, I think). If you make a free version, don't put ADs (many of them are inappropiate too).
I would suggest a free version with less videos and then a paid for a dollars that had the whole library

I appreciate the responses.
@RoberGalarga I definitely want to keep any version ad free as that is a problem I've had with other kids apps. That and in game purchases!
@zacthespack Good suggestion. I was contemplating that idea and will probably do the trial version with a small amount of videos and a full paid version with a larger number of videos.

Don't know how many of you have seen this,
someone embed this if possible, have no clue how to do it.
Saw one where a guy had 2 videos off his sd card playing at the same time with 4 youtube videos in different tabs all playing at once doing the same setup.

Little lengthy but a good watch to show how much the Note 2 can handle all at once.

HDMI out only does 720p unless you are watching a movie. It would be a lot better if it were 1080p instead. Is there anyway to hack the hdmi out to force 1080p resolution on the monitor?
Pretty confused. I cannot select 4k, or at first anything above 720p until I installed the re installed Youtube\cleared it. Now I have the option of 1080p, but I am still missing the option of 4k as I have the Note 4, is this just a Youtube mobile app problem or what? Thanks in advance, loving the display but confused as the Youtube app just seems funky and won't allow anything above 1080p, so I have no way of really showing off the phones 4k feature in terms of video quality. Thanks in advance
Well the video has to have been uploaded at 4k quality... Try Rhett and Links "Vacation Song". I know that was uploaded in 4k.

I would like to know also.... I'm only getting 720p
You sure that the content has 4k option on your PC ?
There's no option in the YouTube app for 4k. You yourself a can shoot 4K video or view content that has been uploaded in 4K.

Oh I've tried a boat-load of 4k ones. On my PC there is an option for 4k with them, not on Note 4's Youtube app. I also at first was stuck with just up to 720p, I uninstalled Youtube and re-installed and now get 1080p, but still nothing like 1440p or 4k.
The 1080 option is a very recent addition to the Youtube app. (one of the last two updates.)
Which is ridiculous, since 1920x1200 screens on Android have been around since the Asus TF700T introduced them in July 2012. More than two bloody years ago.
2K will probably take them another two years to figure out, 4k at least four.
So no, the option does not exist.

According to what I was reading if you go back two Youtube updates you get 1440P, you just have to uninstall and manually install the old package. It was in there, as was 1080P before, they just took it out for some reason. Stupid considering all the 4k devices on the market now.

Dident you even consider that it wasnt stable enough and 1080p is back, at least here in Europe.
Still having this problem
Load 4k vids on YT and 1440 is the highest option
Anyone know if and when YT will include 4k as an option?
Also is there a site or resource that posts what youtube is working on/releasing/released/etc. ?
Like when app updates say what comes with the update and what's different. ..something like that for youtube android development

Nice test but what software version are you on as in os? Pie,Oreo? custom rom os?
looks like some times it doesnt maintain 60fps. LG is really bad when it comes to operating system updates as performance has been crippled on pie so if your on pie it might be that otherwise its just how its uploaded or software you use.

Hi
Yes its on pie
But also its exported with kinemaster and the 60fps function for exporting with kinemaster is still experimental and undeveloped so that i think is the main issue, but also i was casually shooting at the time anyway not realising that the camera should be moved so much and so quickly!
Im going to post vids of my 5 day trek to machu picchu eventually and the video shooting did get better with each day

I never like to use video editors as they either ruin the quality, make the file size bigger or smaller, or just encode it not properly.
The only problem I've encountered so far is the 60fps as you mentioned
Everything else was spot-on couldn't tell the difference really, if anything better in some ways because I was able to tweak the contrast and colour, which made it just a bit better
In kinemaster I can manually choose the bitrate so I just select the same as the original source, which in this video was 24mbps so I don't have any issues with file sizes, and as for data and storage it's not an issue for me personally
