Anybody else having this issue? Seems some people' s won't come through unless I call them first, then they come through fine? What's up with that? Is there a setting that needs to be adjusted?

I've been trying out a piece of software that responds to a text message by calling the sender back. Details can be found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=387114
My problem is that the outgoing call is immediately stopped if the phone is closed when the message arrives. I guess that's because this phone hangs up calls when closed.
I can't find a setting anywhere to stop calls being ended when the phone is closed.
Anybody have any suggestions?
only way
the only way I know of that the 3125 works with the device closed is if the headset is plugged in.

That's what I was afraid of, except then it defeats the purpose of the app. If someone can't answer/use the phone, they're not going to be able to mess around with the headset.
Does anyone know where in the reg the "answer on open" key might be? Maybe there's one that can be set to do the reverse?

Or in speakerphone mode?
Does anyone else have this issue? I do a lot of texting, and if I send a message while I get an incoming call, I get an error message up top that says "Message not sent" and my phone keeps vibrating in the same manner it would if I'm getting a call in.
It never gives me the option to pick up the call, nor does it show up in call history. The people calling never leave voicemails either so I feel like an a** not calling back since I don't know who the heck it is. I'm on the stock rom on the latest HTC OTA update.
Anyone else have the same issue? Any fix for it? It's frustrating me beyond belief..

If your rooted you may have a dirty flash or kernel flash... If not then no I never had this issue....
Also it could be a 3rd party app doing it to you.... The market does have some bad apps..... Tho you have to give it permission when you install a app that could mess with things if it needs some crazy permisson that it isn't suppose to need..
I'm on the stock rom, using the latest version of Handscent although I doubt that's what's causing it since so many others use it without any issue. Don't know what else to try really :\

What software are you did u update to 2.17
I would ditch the handscent thing to make sure it wasn't causing issues..
So you arn't rooted?
Yeah I'm on 2.17.651.5, but it's been happening ever since I got my phone :\
I'm not rooted, never done anything like that to my phone.
So I updated to Avatar Rom, and then over to SuperNexus. Any issues I've had on either has been resolved except this. Haven't been able to find anyone else mentioning it, so it could just be me.
Anyway, I can't send or receive MMS messages. If I try to send one, it remains sending and never reaches its destination. If I receive one, I get a notification but no actual message or picture. Anyone what experienced similar?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda app-developers app
What service provider are you on? Might need custom apn setting
And make sure you have 3g turned on
Check in text setting make sure auto retrieve is on,,,
If all else fails just backup your stuff and Odin back to stock and see if it works.
OK so just about every Lollipop ROM I run I find myself having a weird MMS problem where it takes a forever (1-3 min) to send just one message. And it's not even a picture, just plain old group message. All my APN's are set correct so it's not that.
Anyone else having the same problems?
Or does everyone have group messages sending instantly? I need to know so I can try to fix it.
Totally have the exact same problem, did you ever find a resolution?

Quoted right from the OP - "All my APN's are set correct so it's not that". Seems like it's not that. I am also having this problem, however I've only noticed it while my wifi is on (my data is constantly on, before anyone asks). If I turn off my wifi, and then reboot, things send instantly.
That's the main issue, the other is bluetooth reconnectivity, I couldn't use ASOP Android 5. Sometimes it would never send and yes, the APN was set correct.
"Stock" Lollipop has no such issue.
I'm not sure if it's a placebo effect (I haven't played around with it too much), but I know appear to send and receive MMS messages muuch faster after making the changes. There were a few differences between the recommended settings and what we're included with my ROM (all the port numbers).
When getting incoming calls, I no longer get the option to answer or reject the call. I get the caller ID info, but nothing else. I have to open the case to answer the call. Any ideas why or how to fix this? I've gone through all the settings I can think of but nothing has corrected this issue.
