There's no root for the snapdragon s9+ yet.
There's supposed to be a guy in the LG v30 group who has an exploit but won't share it yet. Idky, but I'm just an average user.

Yeah - Something about that whole Locked Bootloader thing - The "best" that you can ever hope to see is something like Samfail on the S8/S8+ But you'll never have true Root with TWRP ?

There's no root for any Snapdragon S9/+, EXCEPT for the Chinese/Latin American version. which is the G9600 and G9650.
That variant can be rooted with the proper "no_verity" and "rmm_bypass" zips.

That's a poorly written article.
The process and the files are all actually for the G9650 but they keep saying "G965U1", and it's "star2qlte", not "star2qltue".

I did notice that it seemed translated from another language.
I did not know it's star2qlte (I got the phone a couple of weeks ago, haven't done my research yet). Thanks for the heads up.
Hello everyone and one year after the last answer, someone knows something about how to root the SM-G965U1, please if anyone knows something, share, thanks
It doesn't exist, it won't exist. Enjoy your phone as is. [emoji16]

Hi All,
I just got my Motorola razr XT910 in the UK and tried rooting it. The root methods for XT912 Droid Razr do not work.
Does anyoe know if there is a root method for the EU version?
I received my XT910 (Rogers Canadian Version) on Monday (had to activate and purchase to get the Sales Rep to Give me one) and while waiting to receive my Sim Unlock Code, used the quick rooting method that came out same day or so, and worked as advertised.
I followed the how to, and it was really point and click... done!

Has anyone got any info on this? I am still looking to root mine. Will try some more methods tomorrow, but would want to make sure it can be done at present time.
Some reported that Pete's exploit worked flawlessly for their XT910, worth a shot.

I try all of them, but no luck, and the the software says it is for 2.3.4, not 2.3.5

PM me if you can please.

Nope. Only gives you access to root.
Maybe you even unlocked the bootloader?

I have the VZW version and I can't get it to root. Says it is but no superuser and TIB says no go.

It would be nice for root for AT&T v10 ? it shouldn't be difficult since other variants already rooted. If someone can make it I would appreciate it. All I want us root I don't care for rooms or kernels just root.
huh? Am I missing something? I thought only V10 variant that can be rooted was t-mobile, and all other variants cannot be rooted at this point.

Umm why not? It doesn't have a locked bootloader like Samsung does. I'm sure there is an exploit for it, if I had the know how I'd do it myself. As a matter of fact you can oem unlock it in settings yourself.

I'd like to create this thread simply on the basis that TWRP discussion is bleeding a bit into the Root/Magisk thread.
This thread is specific to the Chinese/HK variants of the S10 such as G9700,G9730 and the G9750.
If anyone has any updates, official, non-official or test variants of TWRP feel free to post and discuss here.
Really need some development for these phones.

My point exactly.
This is a waiting room for TWRP. Not root.
Snapdragon variants already have a successful root via magisk.

As identified, ideally the TWRP discussion should be broken out from the magisk discussion.

Could be TWRP for S10e available soon?
Bump. G9700 user here, bored since one ui 2.0 out, was looking for some stuff like twrp and what not.
Fortunately there's HeX for theming, which is what I'm most interested in nowadays, so no need for substratum.
TWRP is available here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...opment-exynos/recovery-twrp-3-3-1-v3-t3980463
Great.
Magisk, edxposed, TWRP, everything is working great on g9750 and more.

I'm trying to root a Samsung G7.
Here is some info on it:
Model: SM-G930A
Android Version: 6.0.1
Build#: MMB29M.G930AUCS4APK1
I am new to rooting and messing with phones and stuff so I've been using a lot of YouTube and xda forums to try and figure out how to root this phone.
I've tried all the one click roots from this list, https://www.xda-developers.com/best-one-click-root-2018/
After that, I started looking at tutorials on YouTube that used a computer and USB to root a phone. From there, I learned that Odin is a thing and people use it. So I tried that out, but I couldn't find the right boot.img for my specific model of phone. The thing is, I don't know what a boot.img is or if that's even what I need.
I am currently trying out this tutorial online: https://dottech.org/199442/how-to-root-samsung-galaxy-s7-sm-g930a-on-android-6-0-1-marshmallow/
I googled engboot samsung g7 (it was mentioned in the online tutorial I am currently using) and found this xda link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/engboot-s7-s7-edge-qualcomm-exynos-t3531104
Oh, and I've already setup ADB and figured out how to get into downloading mode and recovery mode.
That's where I am on my journey to rooting my Samsung G7.
I'm in need of much assistance though.

I have not figured out how to update the phone.
When you say update, do you mean the Android version or the model (ex. SM-G930A)
Also, the link you sent me, is that a link to change your phones version or root the phone?
I downloaded all the files it asked me to, but in the rooting instructions it wants me to flash a .tar file that I didn't get from the downloads it linked.
