Hi,
I am trying to flash my SM-G935A AT&T S7 Edge (not carrier unlocked) with the new SM-G935U firmware (G935UUES4CRG3/G935UOYM4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3/G935UUES4CRG3) that I dowloaded for my US AT&T S7 Edge. I upgraded my S7 Edge to the latest Oreo firmware via OTA around a month ago.
I used SamFirm to download the image to flash. Anyhow, even though I put every file into its respective category on Odin 3.13.1, I get an "SHA256" mismatch error. I've seen some instruction that say to only add the AP file onto Odin and others say to use the prince cosmey version of Odin. What could be the problem? Does the phone need to be carrier unlocked? Is my firmware too new or of the same version? Do I need to use the prince cosmey version? Is it not possible to flash the g935u firmware onto a g935a phone? Should I use another download source? Should I use the slightly older G2 firmware? Anything else I should consider?
Also, I noticed that I could not download firmware for the SM-G935A using the ATT code with SamFirm? Any reason as to why?
I realize that there are many other threads that touch upon this problem but they are either with a different edition of the phone, firmware version or some other variant. I'm posting a new thread because I want to be as thorough as possible and make sure not to brick my phone by receiving safe advice before moving forward. Thank you for your time!
Below are the SamFirm download details:

Hello,
I have a S6 Edge: SM-G925F model of this phone, running Android 5.1.1 on XEF unbranded Firmware, non-rooted.
I want to flash a branded Orange Romania firmware on it and it does not seem to work. Every time I try, ODIN ends in FAIL within seconds and on the phone in the Download Mode screen I see: SW Rev. Check Fail Device:3 Binary:2
There isn't any obvious explanation anywhere, like no one is able to tell why this fails?
Is it because of the PIT? As I do not receive any PIT related error message, just the one above.
What could be the reason?
The orange firmware is also 5.1.1 so no downgrade here. The only difference is that the XEF firmware is 5.1.1 released in Oct, the one updated with the round icons and the Orange one is from September 5.1.1 with the square icons.
I knew that downgrade to 5.0.2 was not possible, but even on the same version 5.1.1 but with an older build?? I cannot explain..
Does anyone here know any reason or solution? I would not want to mess with the PIT if it is not needed although I do have a PIT file for 240MB hidden partition that fits the ORange's hidden partition size.
Thanks.
Yes i found it impossible to downgrade older build as well.

So, it seems that the fact that the Orange firmware has an older baseband could be the cause although the Android version is the same. Bummer...
I'll have to wait for Orange to update their ROM before trying again...and, as usual as most carriers, they are late...
Hi all,
I've searched youtube and google on how to change carrier firmwares for the S8/S8+/N8, and I've found 1 or 2 guides, however they're very confusing to me.
Can anyone explain to me like I'm five years old? [ELI5]
1) I have the Note7 FE firmware downloaded for my current phone carrier (KT)
2) I have the Note8 firmware downloaded for MY ACTUAL carrier (LGU+)
3) I have the latest ODIN downloaded, and only know how to flash stock firmware
I've heard you can use the AP/BL files from 2), but for the CSC file, I have to do something using Odin and the CSC file from 1)? What are the exact steps? Please explain each step as simply as you can.
Appreciate the help!

Hi, I just got Galaxy S9+ and it is bloated with LG Uplus menu and apps. Model version is SM-G965N and when i look for firmware in Sammobile only few firmwares are shown. (KOO, LUC, SKC, KTC)
Can I download KOO firmware and flash with Odin to get rid of carrier bloats and return to stock?
I heard that S9 and S9+ have some problems changing CSC. But if i flash like this, would it be considered changing CSC. Would it work to flash with odin like this?
Is there anyone who knows answer to this?
I also want to do the same thing on my s9 plus. can anyone help please ... thanks

just so i have this straight, youre using a Samsung S9+ on a LG cellular service? thats awesome!! the 965N has the Exynos processor, to the best of my recollection, and you can verify this by installing CPU-Z. If it is, you should be able to flash the G965F firmware on it. I have a S9 that i got from Cricket and installed the G960U firmware on it, debranding it and im satisfied with the result. You will likely need the patched version of Odin in order to flash any firmware on it to debrand it. Verify the processor via CPU-Z and we can go from there

G965N with LGU + firmware too And I want to unbrand it too.
i did it already, and went back to stock.
the service guy installed twrp, then installed custom rom- based on 965F/DS- everything was fine. except no 5.8ghz wifi connection, no OTA update menu.

Downloaded UK (BTU) and tried to flash with ODIN but it failed.
Thanks for that, that is the firmware i was planning to install one last question did you try just regular odin or patched odin i read that to change firmwares you need patched odin

Where did you get the ATT U1? Copy?
Did you have any success using the patched ODIN on flashing the european Anoid 10 firmware
Hi as far as i know theres no U1 ATT firmware only "U" and the U can be any as far as i have notice the difference is having the user data in this case from att for that specific firmware example let say u firmware from february of 2020 you need the att user data of that firmware i don't know if other user data like of another month or device can work
Hello,
I have a S23 Ultra ( SM-S918U) - USA model with at&t boot logo and I'm using it in Romania, Europe. So far so good except a few settings specific (maybe) to usa firmware: the missing data icon on notification list, missing network mode ( I can't manually switch from 5g to 4g).
1. Can I flash an europe firmware from sammobile via odin (SM-S918B - I think) over the usa firmware ?
2. Will I lose e-sim doing the above ?
3. What are the disadvantages of doing the above ? I read somewhere about high battery consumption
Also, on Sammobile there is no RO firmware. What firmware should i pick ? This one ?

Absolutely not. If you try to flash the BL and CP files from a different device variant, you risk a permanent brick.

Since the phone would be bricked, yes

Again, you could brick your phone.
The best thing to do is use multi-CSC U1 firmware, such as OXM. This probably won't be necessary though as the US firmwares typically overlap with many other CSCs.
Flash S918U1 XAA CSC using patched odin. You can't flash S918B firmware on it, odin will fail right before it flashes anything. Use HOME_CSC to preserve data and eSIM.
Patched Odin 3.13.1
For those looking for a modified, modded, or patched odin that is a newer build than all the fake and renamed prince comsy 3.12.3 versions floating around. I patch recent Odin versions to offer similar functionality to the princecomsy; in that...
