Does this require a rooted phone? I simply need the font for the app, not to reflash my phone or whatever.
Are you looking to use this in an app you're developing, or as a system font?
I saw an article on tutsplus showing how to handle fonts (including custom fonts) in your own app. You can include the font in your app's assets.
If you want a font to be usable in other apps, you will need root. The font folder requires root access to modify: /system/fonts/Droid*.ttf
I downloaded a icon pack off the internet and its a zip file. I been using a 3rd party program to install icons of the google market with out having to use any sort of launcher likes apex. Im rooted on cm 10.1. If its flashable and i dont like it can i just install a differnt icon app to overwrite it?
I'm wanting to change the font on most of the system things for the ROM to a different size, and I'm also wanting to change it to Roboto Condensed. Is there a way I could modify the folders of the ROM to do this? I've tried the apps on the Play Store, but they don't work.
I've a problem with the theme store, I've a lot of themes missing, that includes all the avengers themes. I tried installing the themes manually from xda but if I do so they only install as trial and phone reverts back to stock theme after a few minutes. If I manually install them the installed theme appears but when I click purchase or update I get this error
Bump
Install package disabler pro ( pro vesrion )
and after you apply the theme disable
Theme store
And
Themes
Thats it
Any idea why they are no longer in the theme store?
I am aware that there is already a method to install themes on Mi Pad 4, but in my opinion this method is much simpler, more user friendly and better for us to use. The other method had issues such as not been able to restore to default theme.
Note: This method has only been confirmed working on China Stable 10.1.1.0, it should work on other versions but I can't confirm.
Credit to this video for showing me this method:
1. Download the app QuickShortcutMaker.
2. Open it up, change search from incremental to normal, and search themes.
3. Click on com.android.thememanager, a bunch of different themes apps will come up, select the second one down.
4. Click try.
5. The app will launch and you can use and install themes as you normally would on a MIUI device.
Note: The only downside to this is you will have to use QuickShortcutMaker to launch the Themes app every time you want to change theme. By default two themes are installed, Default and Limitless.
Note: You can also import themes from https://miuithemes.tk/
Enjoy and hope this helped. Enjoy customizing!
Reserved.
You can also install fonts with this method.
Just use this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pky.mifontinstaller
You can install any .ttf file as a font and apply it normally in the Themes app. (You obviously access the themes app with the OP.)

Click to collapse
Of course we're going to learn Chinese to talk to our devices; piece of cake!
Please tell me how to restore the default theme back to my Mi Pad 4 plus using this method. I installed theme but want to change back. Thanks
It says that third party themes are not supported. I downloaded them from miuithemes.tk like you said.
