so, a year ago I bought xperia z3 on ebay as refurbished, but now I noticed a very strange thing. 2G and 4G / LTE signal is not reachable, GPS does not work, drm keys are erased, several bands are missing, there are pictures of colored grain and many more. After hours of searching the phone with the ES root explorer and changing the line in build.prop user on userdebug I found the system partition files and the Trim Area file, this file can be open but there are only some phone information like imei serial no. Etc, I want to find the code to unlock the bootloader(i want to install custom rom) because of course the IMEI number is also not correct and comes from xperia Z1. I apologize for the chaos in the post but I do not know how else to recognize it, I just want to fix it all, but changing the motherboard for a new one does not go into the game. sorry for my English

Hi all
Yesterday while enjoying a beer someone stole my TG01.
The rom I was using was:
mi7ROM] [06.01.2012] [MultiLang] mi7ROM_3 handle OS 8107, CLEAN, toshiba logo
I just really try this rom, worked great and has stolen some unfortunate.
No time to install any anti-theft program and the imei is different because I had no time to put yours after solving the problem of 3g.
My question is Is there anything I can do to get my beloved TG01
Thank you all for taking a little of your time.
Try install mi7ROMs 1.3b

???????? great idea.. when the mobile phone was stolen
Maybe you should try going to the local police station and pass them your original IMEI. I know that the 3G fix changes the IMEI...but, as far as I knew the IMEI number was unchangeable.
You may also give them your phone number, but I'm not sure if your thief kept the SIM in your phone...this may be improbable.
You could also try reporting your original IMEI to your carrier, in hopes they may be able to 'blacklist' the handset and prevent further use. I wouldn't tell them you changed your IMEI - that's a criminal offence in some countries
As for actually getting the handset back - I'd say your chances are pretty slim, unfortunately
I had a problem with my old phone, I gave it to customer support and now got it back after 3 months with a note saying it got switched with a "new" one. Checked the imei number and it is a different one.
What puzzles me is, my old phone had some pretty big scratches on the display and the body and this one has exactly the same scratches! As I don't think they added the scratches on purpose so I don't miss them, I thought maybe they somehow built a new phone into my phones body?? I am quite confused.
But, even more confusing is: the "new" phone has exactly the same problem as the one I sent in! (screen not turning in after standby)
So I am guessing they are trying to trick me as I have no idea how else this can be.
My question now is: how did they change the imei? Did they really just switch a part? Is there a way to change the imei of a phone??

The imeid is stored in the phone's memory. For example, on an HTC Desire S it's in partition mmcblk0p7. So it's fairly easy to overwrite if you know where it is found.

So do you think they just changed it and are now telling me they switched it or is it possible that they just changed a part ( motherboard maybe) and that changed the number?
I just want to know if they are trying to fool me

If the scratches are the same and the problem persists, they probably just reflashed the memory or something.

Does that change the imei?
They are claiming they switched the whole phone. I guess it's time to pay the store a visit -.-

Changing the IMEI is illegal in most countries in the world and i guess that they could change it by tampering with the memory chip. You should go back to the store and...explain them a few things.

when I receive a call from an unknown number it shows something like XXX-XXX-XXXX, which I believe is american phone format
how can I change this to brazilian phone format? (XX) XXXX-XXXX
My question now is.... Is this thing really necessary and important for you? In Europe we have no line or space? So what? Can't you make a call because of that "issue" ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Yes it is. Its much easier to identify a number that I dont have in my address book and where did that call came from.
And now I not allowed to want to customize my phone to my preferences?
Wow that's new. I thought that was a huge android selling point.
And what does that have to do with making calls?

bump
Exactly, that have nothing to do with the calls and your phone is working. And I'm pretty sure that nobody will give you an answer to your question.
Try other call manager from Play

It might be linked to region in buildprop or something along those lines

guess what? my nokia 1100 is also working and making calls...
Does it hurt you to simply say "this is not possible on android"?

it is possible as I saw this problem last year over at the s1 forum, I just can't remember the solution
Go to the Settings of your phone and change the locale to anything besides English (US). Eg. English (UK)
Hey,
I bought a lg g2 month ago and 2 weeks ago i decided to update the system. There was no option to do it via wi-fi but was on LG PC software so i did via LG PC Suite. When the update was complete i disconnected phone. Unfortunately it bricked on LG logo screen. I found on google solve of the problem by fasboot mode and installed the stock. I was happy, but not for long. After installation I saw that the display does not work as it should. Attached film shows it the best - it's hard to say by words.
And now it's time for my question: How can i fix it? Is it problem with system? When I bought phone, there was installed Android 4.2.2 but after unbrick i couldn't find 4.2.2 system for D802T 32GB. Maybe i should find correct system? Or maybe it's problem with display or/and digitizer and should i take it to repair?
I would like to point out that I do not have the possibility of sending to service on warranty because the phone was imported from China and I do not have a receipt or invoice.
Thank you in advance for your help and I'm sorry for the mistakes in English - I'm Polish.
I can't attache video so please check my home page on my profile, there is video's youtube URL. It's video which shows my problem.
I have exactly the same problem, see my posts.

I don't have any message. :/
I have the same issue with touch on my G2 full stock it started after months of using it not a single mod. Touch becomes crazy it's stop by itself and the again after some hours. Same happen in with two other phones from friends.
I believe is a hardware issue that LG missed on tests because is not immediately but after some time using it.
Yeah, I have it too. Disable and enable screen help for this.

I have it for a week now and nothing will not repair itself. I will send phone tomorrow to the service and I hope they will repair it.
Hi,
I have a Samsung i9305 (S3 4G) I keep getting "Camera Failed" errors on every rom (except stock). I've tried custom roms with Stock Kernels, and various versions of Android (4.1, 4.2, 4.4, 5.0).
UPDATE: It now no longer works with the STOCK version of 4.4.
ALL give me this problem. I recall that the sound mod/engine was a cause in the past, and removing it fixed it, but now it continues.
I've tried:
Patches (such as built-in rom options)
Several different roms (support there has not helped)- Achma, rXtreme, etc
Third party camera applications
Coping my camera's IPSW to data/cfw
I can't be the only person in the world with this problem- I've been using an old phone for 10 months because of this.
Please help.

Thanks but I've tried both of these and it doesn't work. It could be irreverent, but I just noticed that my battery is damaged (isn't flat- has become 'boated').

It can be a hardware problem

I have to replace damaged camera module once. It was faulty. It costs me c.a. 40 bucks in Samsung service center (20 for part and 20 for replacing) but if you like you can buy this part on eBay and replace it yourself.
Symptoms where similar to yours. Crashing or purple screen on camera app.

I've found one, on ebay, for $14 (AUD).
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item3cdfd18ce1
I may try replacing myself. I tried checking the firmware (FW)
When I dial: *#34971539# it gives me an error
When I type: *#7412365# it tells me "Connection problem or invalid MMI code".
This has happened with all versions of ROMS so far (including stock). What does this indicate? And could the broken battery be related?

I don't think is about the battery dead. It's probably a hardware issue.

Crazy- the camera somehow wasn't plugged into the mainboard (or only loosley).
Since I bought the phone- that camera has driven me mad. Working when it wants to!
Looks like it's fixed- Wow. I should have checked the hardware a long time ago
