CPU under clocking used for saving battery but don't set low values otherwise its get laggy or inaccessible though.
Under clocking and over clocking CPU can be dangerous if you don't set right values. Otherwise its safe.

No. its not. the powersaver governer sets cpu values to low to save battery life but it is safe. You may find a little lagging or low performance.

I think that the default on a stock ROM underclocks to 352 automatically when screen is off.
Using overclock widget in the settings you can get it so that when the screen is off you can underclock it to your own min/max freq's
I think the default min is something like 245 MHz.

Yeah, I could quite possibly be wrong.
I think stock underclock is 352, since some handsets crash at 245
But I may be wrong...
thank you for answer.
I conclution Hero can scale CPU Speed by itself?
So, I interesting CPU adjust application.
what is best choise between SetCPU or overclock widget ?
How to overclock CPU speed?
The only way to overclock is to root your phone... you may find this useful, for me worked like a charm..
http://rootmydroid.co.uk/
I'm already root it but I didn't use costom rom.It possible to overclock?
I think so... Have you try to install set cpu? If you have superuser permission you
won't have any problems to overclock..

I already root+installed SetCPU. But the maximum CPU is only 528 MHz.
Can(+How) to set cpu speed more than 528MHz.
thank you
If your running a stock ROM then you will need to flash a different kernel to Overclock. Stock kernels don't have the higher freq's in there tables to overclock. Try a Nindroid one (or flash a custom ROM).
..............I would cancel this idea.
Because I think I have inadequate knowledge, may cause phone's damage.
I had a little knowledge about android+linux, may cause phone's damage.
I must learn more than before flash kernal.
Thanks for all the answers.

[Q] Overclock HyperDroid v5.2.21?

Hi, i have just flashed the new HyperDroid v5.2.21 (Full wipe) and i wanted to know if i can overclock my SGS2 from 1.2ghz to 1.5ghz, if so how do i go about it?
Do i need to change the current kernel (XWL1)?
P.S ive heard its stable, but does it drain the battery?
Thanks XDA Community
Hello there. Yep you can overclock but you need a kernel that supports it. SiyahKernel is a good choice. With that, use the Voltage Control app from the market.
However I know nothing about battery draining or stability... dualcore 1.2GHz mobile processor is more than enough for me, and the phone can get pretty hot under maximum load, same with the MALI GPU which can be overclocked to 400MHz (but since it has 4 cores and the phone has no active heatsinks it could get risky...)

Yes you can overclock and you can stick with the kernel that comes with Hyperdroid. I am currently Overclocking 1.6ghz max and 200 min. Not touching voltages though. Use No-Frills app to set it up. My advice though to you no point in overclocking as 1.2ghz is good enough as it is..And the kernel you are on is good enough...It is stable depending what voltage frequencies you use..I say leave it as they are. And like i said download No-Frills from the market..Set your clock speeds and that should be it..Choose a governor and off you go

No-Frills ? AndroidMeda Developers recommend Voltage Control (and I personally like it much more than No-Frills, too) with their kernel.
+ Here is a small guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1036020 how to test your OC Settings, I use it when I am testing new voltages.
Thanks for the replies i will try out the no-frills app and see what happens. What would you say is the best governor to use? and wouldnt you recommend going over 200min?

Pongster uses No-Frills. The rest of the team uses Voltage Control. And to avoid any freezes or random reboots leave the voltage settings as they are till you get to grips with the overclocking. Hence why i suggested No-Frills as currently Voltage Control for me kept on reverting back to stock frequencies..And yes there is a way round it but it is to much of an effort

I am currently using ondemand and Sio as scheduler. You can not go wrong with that. Like i said..choose a governor choose a scheduler and let them do the work...I also do recommend Voltage control but No-frills is simple and does the job for you. And no i would recommend either go to 100min or stick with 200...I am currently on 1.6max and 200 min

I think 200 min is OK...100 MHz is too low and 500 is too high...

[Q] JB+Dorimanx 8.40/Stweaks

Hi, I've got this strange problem..I've set the "min frequency" to 200Mhz and the "max normal frequency" to 900 Mhz.So the device is supposed to operate in this range; For 30 minutes of using opera, facebook, some chat programs, email, the phone uses only 1000Mhz.
When I set back the "max norm. freq." to 1Ghz and the "max oc freq." to 1Ghz, the phone behaves as expected: it uses all frequency range, mostly 200Mhz.
I'm not much of a tweaker, but being stuck on 1000Mhz, when the max allowed is 900Mhz doesn't seem right to me...Now, am I missing something?Hope you can direct me Thanks
Ok so when you set it to 900 MHz, do you first set max_oc_freq to its lowest? Otherwise, setting max normal freq to 900 with max oc freq to say 1200 will cause issues. I doubt it's an issue with the kernel /governor, but how you're setting it up.

Yes, it is to its lowest - 1Ghz.Forgot to mention that the governor is CONSERVATIVE, scheduler - SIO;

Good. In that case, have you tried using a different governor? I use Hyper, believe it or not it's the most battery friendly for me but still awesome performance. I assume you're underclocked to save battery?

mate dnt matter wot gov/io it wont work properly. i tryed with every relase and uc work till screen is on . when u set max oc/normal freq tob 1000 works , when u set below work till screen is on , i reported this to dori , in my opinion this have to do with spliting freq for mormal and oc before that uc was working. i tryed use other aps to that same efect.

Hi fellas...
I'm having some difficulty trying to find a way to include the oc frequencies into an "ondemand"-like governor. Seems only the performance governor actually enables the oc frequency but then completely fixed.
Is this a limitation that frequencies over 1000 MHz are only available as static frequencies under the performance governor?
"Max normal frequency" in STweaks seems to indicate this.
Also is there any good way to "prime"-test the phone or is freezing the phone the only available indication of instability?
Appreciate the input... /Mike (Big thanks to dorimanx for this feature packed kernel)

if u cpu statys at high frequency; theres sth wrong.
i use JB roms for long time, and the cpu has same behaviour as in ICS.
i mean i give u right JB is not super battery efficient, but i dont think its only due to CPU load
try to change kernel/ go to neewest rom version, and try to change govenor

Temperature and frequency scale down

Hi all,
I have a problem with frequency scale down for higth temperature.
I am from italy and now the temperature in My House is 30-32 celsius.
The smartphone temperature is 55 cpu 50 gpu 40-45 battery also if use The max 2 only for browsing.
I tried to set the frequency 1700 for the big core and 1400 for the little but nothing changed.
Is normal?
How i can down the temperature?
Thank you

Try flashing the BlackScreen kernel. My room temperature is about 35-38 °C and battery temperature is around 37-42 °C with medium to heavy usage. The temperatures you mentioned are normal IMO. Until they are below 43, it is fine.
PS : I don't know if the last RR comes with BlackScreen built-in.

Yeah. The phone heats up about the same temperatures for me too. With the stock Leeco EUI software, I had heating between 35-38 °C (battery temperature) so I consider it to be normal now. Actually I'm adapted to the temperatures on Nougat ROMs now.
But you "Block" the frequency of your cpu/gpu?
Instead of limiting your frequency, can you try changing your governor ? To power save etc...

I have an older version of resurrection remix more battery friendly, with BS kernel, alucard governor and alucard hotplug, it's said to be very battery friendly and at the same time keep phone smooth. Shuts down cpus when there is low payload and turn them on while needed
As you can see the frequencies while playing the game are never at their highest, only very intensive tasks put all CPU to highest frequencies, no lag very fluid
Here is the ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le...x-resurrectionremix-m-v5-7-4-t3542355/page423
It's an amazing game you should try it
